here is a list of suggestion to expand the random encounters that came with tsw6

    -Delays
    -Cancellations
    -track work
    -Passenger information system faults
    -Lighting failure
    -Flooding

some of these would be cool to add and would expand the trandom events

Only when they fix and improve what they've already implemented.

The problem is faults already occur far too frequently on some trains like the 805, which make it a chore rather than an occasional challenge. As regards infrastructure disruption, the underlying AI struggles now to cope with out of course running. For major chaos you would need the AI equivalent of both Control and Signalling Centres who could react completely dynamically. Even the real railway couldn't evolve a programme to emulate that. There is no way TSW could start cancelling trains and moving sets off ECS out of the way or even manage turning around short. The best you might manage is an instruction to run fast.

I was watching a recent yt video from ic_lokfuehrer and was excited to learn about a snow operating procedure. In freezing conditions they don’t want frozen junctions to prevent trains from accessing platforms so they will keep the points oriented to the platforms and through trains like ICE must slow to pass through the station, when ordinarily they would use a separated track at high speed.
It’s a shame we can’t duplicate dynamic re-routing like this in timetable mode. Should be very easy in scenarios?

Minor derailments maybe? Snow clearing would be awesome with snowplows (especially rotary ones) or spreaders/flangers. On US routes in the mountains (Cascades, Donner Pass, Rocky Mountains, etc.), track switches are heated by propane heaters with propane tanks next to the tracks. Also, I would love to see defect detectors added to the game. Pity we can't get crane cars and other track maintenance vehicles that could actually be operated in game.
A few other cool defect ideas: animals (deer, cows, sheep, etc.) on track, stalled car blocking crossing, and rock slides

That was implemented (for obvious reasons) in the old SNCF simulator of the 90's where it required you to apply emergency braking.
It looked like a scribble made with Paintbrush superimposed onto a 480p cabride that was playing...

But I don't think it would be really fun in terms of gameplay, even if it adds realism.
