I play with all the safety systems on. I find it a bind having to go around the cab to turn them on every time I start a service.
I would love to be able to have them turned on by default

I Think make It a setting because some players might not know what Is happening

I swear this has been suggested multiple times by different people. I do agree make it setting (that defaults to off) as otherwise new players who might not know how they work will have a bad time otherwise

There could be something put in the advanced settings that can change the default from being off to on

It could confuse players with expert locos I Think it would be locomotive safety systems on automatically or something like that and it could be shortened but I don't know what to put

It’s a quality of life feature that should be added to the game ASAP.

I hate when you haven’t driven a train in long time, and you waste precious time searching instead of driving.

in that case I load a service, locate the switches/breakers, and then I just restart the service :)

Many users here on the forum say they want to feel and experience the immersion.
As a train driver, part of the job is to prepare the locomotive and switch the safety systems on or off.

And when you select a service from the timetable in TSW, the locomotive is usually already prepared, and all you have to do is switch the safety systems on.
Personally, I’d actually prefer it if I had to prepare a locomotive or a train from scratch, just as you would in real life.

I kinda like how you have to register GSM-R in 375 in the new UK DLC, one more step in immersion... next big step - turning track monitor into an Ebula-like stuff, if we arent going to get a proper Ebula... I mean, it would rock if we got those in-cab screen or paperwork detailing the route/service like IRL :) ... track monitor is great, but not exactly immersion-enhancing :D

100% agree, I'm one of those.

That's because you're not taking a train that is stabled in a yard, you take it "on the fly"...

Yes, it would be interesting to go through the whole procedure... provided we have enough time to do it !

Even trains that are stabled are already prepared though.
