Hi all I've noticed for the past few days logging onto modern UK routes such as ECML, WCML (south and Birmingham-Crewe), Manchester Airport Commuter, and others that trains with digital display systems showing destinations (Euston, Manchester, Glasgow, etc.) no longer show and are replaced with variants of "Not in Service." Curious if this is something that is known already and will hopefully be part of an upcoming core update or patch. I asked on the TSW subreddit and got similar responses that it's happening across all platforms and various routes or trains. I first noticed the issue across the East Coastway remaster, as most AI trains would not display a destination. I know it's a small detail but I feel like I notice it way more now that it's not working and gone. Has anyone else experienced something similar, and does anyone also know if this is on the team's radar? For reference, I play TSW6 on PS5 pro, and am up to date on all core updates/patches.
Known bug that got introduced with one of the last patches. Fixed one thing, caused more other problems. Hopefully DTG is going to resolve this very soon; really kills the immersion.
PC players can also download a mod that fixes the problem until DTG finally sorts out this bug. https://www.trainsimcommunity.com/mods/c3-train-sim-world/c19-patches/i7427-temporary-pis-fix It’s a disgrace for DTG that a TSW player was able to release a mod so quickly to solve this problem, yet DTG itself is unable to fix this bug promptly.
On my version of TSW6 (Steam), only the player train has a correct and working PIS. The AI trains have "Nicht einsteigen" or "Not in service". Does it work for other players with Steam version?
@gsommer#5041 I’d take this mod out for a bit and see if the display goes back to normal for all trains. I read somewhere yesterday that this issue is supposed to have been fixed in the latest update. I haven’t been able to test it myself yet, though.
Unfortunately this hasn't been fixed. At least not fully. Yes, on the player train the PIS is now correct again since thursday which is nice, but on almost all AI services it still says 'not in service', 'nicht einsteigen' or something similair. I'm on PS5 Pro
This is still an issue. Even on the Medway Valley route, the trains destination display shows, "Not in Service". I can confirm this is the case for just about all UK routes. Hopefully DTG releases a patch to fix this bug quickly
I found out, that the PIS is working. In fact, trains are only getting the correct PIS information 2 minutes before departure. Therefore, at termius stations, the PIS is often showinng nicht einsteigen or not in service.
