Can't Get Hgt Files In Qgis Anymore.

i updated the srtm program in qgis and it seem to can't get hgt files from earthdata anymore. it now all .tiff files

no i haven't

 

SRTM Downloader is has been updated and no long outputs the correct file (HGT), so instead follow this youtube video

you will need to create an account with earthdata to enable the download, video shows you how to select the correct files and formats for the editor.
