It was in the initial set up but as we couldn’t get permission to layer it in it was removed this is something we hope to have sorted in the future
No updates as of yet I am afraid we are all doing the best we can to resolve this issue I can only apologise Cheers
How empty of a timetable are we talking? Was the thing that made me debate whether I was gonna buy it watching the previews and not seeing alot of AI trains pass by!
I don’t have numbers in terms of AI & player splits, individual layers etc. With all layers active the class 90 timetable has 200 less playable services than the default version.
it has 799 services, with all layers installed. the other four timetables have ~950 services. parts 1 and 2 of the Class 90's shunting jobs are also under the class 66 (for both of them)
that makes sense, thank you for the reply. i really hope AABS are keen to play ball as in my opinion your 90 and their 80X's would combine to make an almost perfect timetable
can i say, incase it hasnt been said yet.. LOVE the RHTT diagrams in the timetable, for the 66 ofc, you absolute legend (not sarcasm, genuinely happy to see some RHTT)
PC / STEAM - No power with Saftey System's enabled I'm also having this issue, so just bumping this. Also, should we be able to add portable head/tail lights to the lamp brackets on the outside?
PC Steam: Enjoying the Class 90 so far, looks and sounds great. The only bug I have encountered is not being able to acknowledge AWS or DSD with the controller. No other issues with all safety systems active aside from that. Hopefully the controller issue is resolved soon. A huge disappointment for me is that it comes with just 15 services (4 of which are no more than 5 minutes long) and only on one route. Hopefully we see more in the future. Aside from those issues, great work!
PC / Steam Only getting 35 AP for driving under speed limit. Not enough points for platinum. Tried these two timetable entries: 4M42: Preshunt (05:00) and 4M42: London Gateway - Trafford Park F. (05:52)
PC / Steam - Wheel Blur I didnt think wheel blur when moving was an issue anymore? Class 90 FL Grey seem's to have issue's with wheel blue currently.
if you activate the DSD after you get the 90 moving it will work as intended and doesnt dump your brake pipe out from under you
Platform: Playstation 5 PRO Service/Scenario: Any service Repeatability: Engine sound cutting out/on loop Is there an issue with the engine sound? I'm running the class 90 on the training track. During the run, the engine sound is cutting out or looping. Anyone else getting the same?
Xbox Series S Tried a few runs with AWS enabled but it is very tricky to get the cursor onto the AWS accept button before the brakes come on, so I gave up. Seems fine without the safety systems but I hope the fix isn't too long in coming. Otherwise, very impressed with the overall graphics on the locos so well done to ATS.
Alright thanks Alan. It is Appalling we haven't had any communication from DTG, this isn't fair on your part or us the consumers who have bought the DLC but it isn't functioning correctly due to the wrong build.
That’s a problem of their own making Alan. They chose to release as much as they could prior to their financial year end. I have zero sympathy with DTG!
the sounds are really, REALLY loud. i cant tell if theyre looping or not over how loud and unfomfortably high pitched the traction motors are... the poor IRL drivers of these things must have gone deaf
Listening to APs old Class 90 pack there is something very wrong with the sounds in TSW to my ear, in APs example it appears that the main sound profile at speed is 'running' sounds with the traction motors faintly under it, in TSW this class 90 sounds like it whines incessantly on a fairly short loop which is quite annoying to listen to.
don't you find it a little funny, or maybe at least interesting, that when DTG release nothing TSW is dead and when DTG release DLC its too much or its too rushed.. while i dont disagree that this DLC has issues is there a release regimen that DTG *could* do that isnt "too much DLC" or "theres no DLC, TSW is DEAD!!!"
Likely, I didn’t notice another loop anywhere near as pronounced, though the traction audio is also poorly looped IMO. If you look on the left of the switch panel (left side cab desk), there are 2 switches for the cab venting - under the parking brake, one of those you can turn to a ‘low’ setting which slightly mitigates the problem.
its not painfull, but i had to have my headphones almost at 0 as its just really high pitched and just cuts right through you.... not painfull to have to listen to but very uncofmortable. i havent used it in TSC so i cant speak to those sounds but this one (to my very novice and uninformed ears) sounds WAYYYYYY to loud
For context here is a clip of APs class 90 at 80mph from their video showing it off. Oh timestamps don't work? Around 4:05 into the video you can get a clear sample of those sounds.
PS 5 Don't want to sound too negative here, the loco looks nice and well modelled. But for me there are three issues, one of which made me stop playing the loco and wait for the first patch. First issue (fundamental): the circle key does not reset AWS so it is not very convenient to drive with safety systems on (which is the way I like to play the game). Second issue (a recurring theme in TSW that follows me like an old bloodhound): the perspective or zoom glitch, present on so many locos and I have no idea why. Go to the external camera, go back to the normal driver view. If you pull back the left stick now, the camera will zoom in (!) a bit. This means that the perspective is not right from the beginning. Normally, it should be the widest field of view but not more than that. I know it may be difficult to explain and I am not a native speaker but please try it out. This is also present on all "historical" UK locos except the Blackpool and Shap 47s I think. No idea why, it persists since TSW2. Third issue (not great not terrible): I see the basic reasons for using multiple timetables but if possible I would wish for a bit more cooperation between developers and publishers. WCML South is a DTG route so it would be great if all DTG products and products by third parties approved by DTG could appear more or less in the same timetables. I am not saying there should only be one, but maybe two or three different timetables covering different time periods or so would be groovy. Again, no strong feelings here. Waiting for the patch and looking at the nice loco with fresh eyes then.
How did you get it moving. They all point blank refuse traction for me xbox. Also keyboard AWS does work if you have a usb keyboard
I suspect the new timetable is because WCMLS is one of the routes that suffers blurry textures. Well, I'd be surprised if that wasn't at least one reason
I gave it around 50% power to get it moving with a full load and it did take a short while to actually get going. Also when I tried the AWS that was the only safety device that was on. Others have reported a problem with the DSD so I didn't try that. Good luck.
Aside from the sounds the 3D model looks good, I personally would really love to see an 'as built' Class 90 and DVT so we can do some high speed and longer runs on JTs WCML sections (hopefully integrating with JTs excellent timetables), just those sounds really need correction as they are frankly bad.
Luckily for the real drivers, it sounds quite different it would seem from this video: Like a lot of other well insulated locos the HVAC sounds dominate at low speeds, with the running sounds becoming more and more prominent as speed increases. The traction motors can be heard more faintly in the background than in this DLC. Additionally there seem to be a deep hum when applying power. Note that the microphone placement for the video can make a difference in the sound to where the driver actually sits, but I think it's much closer to the IRL sounds than what's in game. Good point, and it's a shame that this 10+ years old addon has better sounds than what we get in TSW. It's the biggest issue with this release for me.
The sound looping/cutting out is really bad on the PS5. As a workaround, I've turned down the game sound effects. This makes it slightly more bearable in the cab, but is still noticeable outside the cab. Hopefully this sound issue will be resolved. It's put a damper on this DLC for me.
Shame about another wrong build going out for PS5, after they already did this with MVL the other day, as was also looking to pick this one up. Are the sound mix issues specific to the incorrect build (PS5), or is it across the board just not sounding right?
I've had to give up, the sounds are unbearable. Otherwise, good modelling and with the DSD and AWS bugs ironed it'll help however until the sounds are changed/corrected/tweaked I unfortunately won't be driving it again.
Yes, I noticed that too the other day on Shap. True, it's odd, but personally it doesn't bother me too much.
PC / Steam. The cab hum (HVAC I think) sounds like it was sampled from a machine running on a 60Hz power supply instead of the UK 50Hz. Would it be possible to consider pitch shifting this down to match 50Hz? Just pitch it down to 83.333% of the pitch of the original sample and it should sound like 50Hz.
Well, i've had a good go on the 90 this evening (PC). Other than the glitches with +35AP (with safety on), plus a couple of other DSD related traction lock issues, overall, I've had a great evening with the 90. Good job on the loco. The issues people have highlighted i'm sure will get in the backlog, but it's still very playable. Created a consist of Mk3's and slotted it into WCML-shap to have a 110mph run. Again, great fun (once the liner i was stuck behind was looped). The section gaps tend to trip it too if not powered down which i like. Thanks Alan Thomson and team. Oh, one other thing... i got a reward for doing 66 Miles. Surely that should be 90 miles?
Why is this Skoda train going backwards I have l coupled up to some MK3 carriages and a class 87 on the end this had worked yesterday no issues but today I’m having problems I set off but my train is going backwards god sake the parking brakes is off everything is done correctly this shouldn’t be happening and the class 87 is not the issue here. Like I said, this worked yesterday and now today it doesn’t seem to wanna go forwards but backwards despite in forward notch it was funny me coupling up to the Mk3 coaches Light loco but once a coupled up It didn’t wanna know the class 87 is powered Down and cold l I don’t wanna have to refund this product, but I might have to cause it’s buggy Allan help what’s going on Series S Alan Thomson
As mentioned in one of the other threads, I’ve refunded. The cab looks great and it’s quite clear to me that the basis of this comes from 90050 at Crewe Heritage. issue is that the thing just doesn’t work. The AWS/DSD issues, the sounds and the stuff that is at the core of what a download should be are all wrong. I strongly suspect that DTG are the problem, and if a patch fix for this comes along I will of course look to repurchase. But right now, this isn’t fit for purpose and I’ve got no choice but to ask for my money back.
Hi it's also happening on the Xbox series X and s where you can't press on the controller to cancel the aws and dsd
Playing on Steam I can get moving with all safety systems engaged, but once I take power off, I can’t reapply it. Same happens when Speed Set reduces power.
PS5 Some more feedback relating to the new timetable. Nothing serious but maybe someone faces this issue. When you use the Class 66 in the shunting services (preparation 1 and preparation 2), the brake is cut-out by default. You have to cut it in on the data unit above before you can get going. No problem with that but still unusual. Oh, and on the same timetable, when using 4L52, one of the early morning class 66 services to Wembley, there was another train coming in on the same track at Webmley from the opposite direction.
