What bridges would you most like to see in TSW? My top picks would be these : 1. Fehmarnsundbrücke This combined road-rail bridge connects the German mainland to the island of Fehmarn and was a key part of the historic Vogelfluglinie route, until its unfortunate closure in 2022 2. Øresund Bridge A massive road-rail bridge (and tunnel link) spanning the Øresund strait, it is the longest of its kind in Europe and serves as a vital link connecting Copenhagen, Denmark, and Malmö, Sweden. 3. Rendsburger Hochbrücke An iconic cantilever bridge over the Kiel Canal featuring a unique transporter ferry suspended below the tracks and a massive loop ramp to gain height on the northern approach. 4. Hochbrücke Hochdonn This high-level railway bridge carries the Marschbahn over the Kiel Canal and is known for its intricate riveted steel design and heavy rail traffic. It has a steep gradient approach required for trains to clear the shipping traffic below. 5. Hungerford Bridge This multi-track steel truss bridge carries the South Eastern Main Line across the River Thames directly into the Charing Cross terminus. It was built in 1864, utilizing the brick piers from Isambard Kingdom Brunel's earlier suspension bridge, and currently serves as a vital approach for Southeastern commuter and mainline services. 6. Müngstener Brücke This is Germany’s highest railway bridge and a major steel arch landmark on the route between Remscheid and Solingen in North Rhine-Westphalia. It has held this record since its completion in 1897. 7. Crumlin Viaduct Once the highest railway viaduct in the UK at 200 feet, this Victorian wrought-iron bridge carried the Taff Vale Extension across the Ebbw Valley. It was dismantled in 1965.
I like to see the Moerdijkbruggen (Moerdijk bridges) in the Netherlands: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Moerdijkbruggen
I like this thread. Now that we have the Forth Rail Bridge in TSW which looks incredible. I’d next like to see the Tay Bridge into Dundee one day. All big Suspension Bridges are brilliant. And soon we will have another one coming to TSW with the Portugal route that’s coming soon. That one looks good too. Big bridges are something I’d really love to see more of in TSW.
OMG, someone else with an in-game bridge fetish too! can we just shout out to how good the bridges are in the game now. The ones in B'Ham to Crewe are to die for.
Off the top of my head, the King Edward and High Level Bridges from Newcastle. Brackley, Helmdon and Catesby viaducts on the old Great Central main line. The various viaducts on the Somerset and Dorset.
Bridge over the River Kwai. The only way to get rid of all the game breaking bugs in TSW6, is to blow it up like in the movie.
