It’s been confirmed on dtg socials, the Waterloo and City Line will be the next london underground line coming to train sim world! This route marks the first LU route in 6 years, and will be comprised of the 2.37KM line between Bank and Waterloo stations. The rolling stock included will be the 1972 stock, due to licensing issues the creation of the 1992 stock is inaccessible. The Waterloo and City Line will be releasing on Thursday, April 9th and will cost £32.99. The premium price tag is down to the extensive process of light baking, as well as customer demand.
that’s only included with deluxe and special editions, priced this year at £72.99 and £139.99 respectively
The 72 Stock and the light baking mention cracked me up, as well as the super random rails in the AI-generated image good job!
Heads up for this DLC, DTG sent out the wrong build again and the 72 stock is missing all of it's textures and the emergency brakes always go off every 10 seconds. It's ok though it will be fixed in a day one patch 3 months later.
reduced timetable on gen 8 as well, services are every 30 minutes instead of 5 minutes on the gen 9 timetable
Lol, it looks like the body of that train has been updated, but then again with it being April fools, and DTG saying if it's not on the roadmap, it's not happening yet
lol, I have definitely been fooled. At first, I thought we were getting better versions of the tube stock but looking much closer at the photo, I can see the realism from the shadows. Definitely a good April fools joke
On a semi serious note, any attempt at the Waterloo and City line needs to include these Bad Boys… They were quite unique even down to the lovely Bakelite aroma they emitted which (literally) gave the line a quite distinct atmosphere compared to the LT/LUL tube lines.
Haha that’s where we will end up eventually! Hang on it can’t be true as they can’t put another 66 onto it…
Not fooled by this as there’s no way PullIUp would allow Waterloo to be in game, it would certainly have to be renamed so not to offend the owners
£139.99 Shh! Don’t give the marketing department any ideas I’d have a heart attack if I ever saw the price increase that much though.
They were lovely to drive, though there were some Waterloo drivers that didn't like going down the drain! However all the turns down there were very sociable and only 7hrs long, No13 was probably the worst turn about 18 round trips, you were praying that the late turn cover driver would take you off your last 2 trips!
