I must give that one a try. I know it doesn’t tick anything off in the journey mode but seeing the route from a full windscreen is a must.

Not only have you guys set the standard in what a release should look like.
but you have set the standard in what post release care should look like too. - constant dialogue and engagement and making changes super quick while listening to feedback.
    10/10.

A patch won’t be for a while (critical fixes aside - read PS5 audio), but all patched items will be across all platforms as always.

Really do appreciate all you guys are doing at the moment. The engagement, the transparency and all of the hard work. I think you guys should definitely hold your head up high on this one.

Although, I do appreciate how frustrating it can be that one sound issue can throw such a spanner in the works. But you're doing what you can and being transparent about it, which goes a long way!

Excellent. So you understood me correctly.

You need to load a route and simply open the god mod menu. In the upper right corner, you'll see several icons with the one you need.
I'm even a little ashamed that I made you bother with such a trivial matter that 3.5 players, including me, saw. You created a magnificent route that brought me back to the UK (where I haven't been in a while). This is simply the gem of the TSW, along with the Czech route. It's simply a pleasure to relax behind the wheel of a Class 375, taking in the stunning scenery. I'd like to point out the exemplary feedback, where problems are acknowledged and resolved. Keep up the good work!

I genuinely hadn’t really noticed it but it is better now, and now I’ve seen it I can’t unsee it!

We can’t really concentrate properly on anything until this PS5 issue is sorted out, but once that’s sorted we can properly turn our attention to the feedback since release.

I think you've seen enough of the route during development. No complaints, that's normal.
I can speak for myself. You've shown that you know how to deliver and listen to the community. When it's ready, it will be ready. I'll wait.

Thanks, I don't have that mod so that explains why I couldn't see it! Looks like Firefly are onto it anyway so I'll leave it to the professionals.

The frustration is that DTG haven’t acknowledged the issue for a week or provided any update on when it might be fixed

Don’t mistake people who have paid and are looking forward to the content for whingers… it doesn’t work on PS5 and we want to know when it will

I fully appreciate people are working their socks off behind the scenes to fix it, but tell us! (and make sure to get some sleep; it’s a game :) )

Finally sorted the crashes, misread the workarounds. I have to agree it's a great route and a very pleasant journey. The route has clearly been a work of passion . Well done

Did you get to the bottom of your crashes? Was it layers related or something else?

I think I would have quite happily paid £50 if they done the stretch from Dartford to Faversham as well . Would have been awsome. With there quality of work.

    Hi.

it was the ini engine that caused those routes to crash.

I deleted my modded ini file (saved as a back up) and then let the game create a fresh engoine doc.

After that, I then re modded the ini file. There were some lines I had to take out (relating to memory usage) but since then its been wonderful.

I'll say again, I'm super happy with this route. I'm not really a fan of the types of train that run on it, but it's so immersive, I've been totally drawn in. I really enjoy freight and that is absolutely brilliant just trundling slowly along admiring the scenery.

I mainly play on PC but I have TSW on PS5 as well for when I just want to relax on the Sofa in front of a bigger screen. This is one of the few DLCs that I will add to my PS5 collection as well.

Hi All, Just a quick question here. I'm have a blast on this route the attention to detail is just out standing. Having to go to outside camera just to take in all whats been added. OK back to question. Is there a key command for the DRA button? I have a list of key commands but nothing relating to DRA. I'm on PS5 along with keyboard.

Yes, it was added in TSW5 but sadly a lot of devs don’t apply it. On PC the keybind is PgDn

    Yes they have.
If you want them to predict by what day it'll be fixed, life doesn't work like that. They've said they can't commit to an ETA, it's obvious why (or it should be).
They have told you all they know, what more do you realistically want them to tell you? They know there's a problem, they don't know what's caused it, they're working all the hours they can (both Firefly and DTG) to try and fix it.

The last time I enjoyed a new route this much was when Preston-carlisle released.

It's incredible, wide array of services, the lighting is incredible. The stations are beautiful, it's a shame about the 375 audio (I'm on PS5) but as others have done, I'm using the 465 mostly until the update is sorted.

I'm glad I purchased this on day one.

Good route this one. Well done to all involved and I hope the little things get ironed out.

Yep, great they acknowledged it yesterday, but this was a week after the launch and the only update was from the devs to say a corrected build was with Sony. It’s not unreasonable to ask where the update was, given these are usually pushed out same or next day., and there was no expectation given that it was still experiencing issues.

Neither is it unreasonable to ask when to expect a fix - presumably not for another week, given the break; but is it big and going to take weeks, is it something they expect to get on top of by next week…

no-one’s having a go, just asking for information about the paid product that ain’t working :)

This is truly a great route, my only small criticism would be that having 2 of the 5 scenarios at only 15 minutes is a bit too much.

We can't give you an ETA beyond "As soon as it's fixed" currently. Ourselves and DTG aren't even sure what the cause is. So we're having to methodically try each part of our audio setup piece by piece. This unfortunately means we have to wait for DTG to make a Devkit test build, then test it for us. Which has a delay on it, so testing each of our changes is taking a bit.

Beleive me, we all want this fixed, It's incredibly stressful our end. But for some reason audio that works no problem on PC and Xbox, is just not playing nice with PS5. We're contacting Epic soon for help at the unreal engine level I beleive.

thanks for the additional info; must be extremely frustrating when the cause isn’t obvious and having to go through the code line by line to test if its worked.

Fingers crossed you manage to pin it down soon

I'm sure they'll solve the audio problem soon. Maybe in doing so they'll accidentally solve the volume issue on the 700. :D

Hate to be tiresome, but could someone point me towards the sound mod for this train. I'm mod-averse, but I might just make an exception for the 700. I do rather like it.

Like I said a few posts back, you won't regret it. Just a shame that the 700, like the VP185 HST, has so precious little to do in TSW - though you will enjoy the night runs across MV.

Yes, I did one. It was enjoyable but couldn't hear much, including the very faint on- board announcements. And it was like watching a modern TV rather than the 375 which reminds me of the first set my parents bought in 1951. ;)

    I thought they were perfect?

Which is it? Are they good enough or do you agree they could do with some tweaking?

Read my posts again. I was talking only about the 700. The scenarios were all with the 375 which ran perfectly, graphics and audio are fine.

My mistake, I thought you meant the 375.
You’re on PC obviously with mods, that’s why I was confused as there’s no announcements for the 700 on console.

Hard disagree. It's a matter of opinion of course, but I play this "sim" to get the most realistic experience possible. Of course it falls short in many ways, but I very much appreciate how the announcements were done on the route: realistically. Perhaps to please more "arcade style" enjoyers there should be a relevant setting added to the game.

Life preserver, a floating ring you throw for someone to grab when they are in the water. Rettungsring in German I think?

Life rings are what near rivers and lakes . Its plastic ring you throw in the water if someone drowning or in distress in the water.

    Thank you both

In Canada we call that a float, or lifesaver (une flotte in Canadian French)

Strangely enough they're called " Lifesavers " in the US ( the candy I mean ).
