I reported this and Tyler responded: "Sounds like the player is running late, and 1399 is catching up and stealing their dispatcher reservation. I'm starting a sim now to fix the stop location I broke at Greenwich, and will also adjust 1399 to not reserve beyond Harrison and give the player more time to be late (up to about 15 minutes)" so this is still in dev for now.
Why dont the M7As stop at Melrose, tremont, Williams Bridge and woodland. They would on harlem route wouldn't they.
several players a have reported on PS5 that they don't hear any train announcements for Mount Vernon east-"Hmm, there was a late change that went in to fix MtVE announcements, guessing it didn't get taken into PS5 builds" so this is known and in the system. Just confirmed with production that the fix didn't make it into the builds. It's earmarked for the next post release update.
Yes, thats what i suspected was happening. My next move was to just delete 1399 before it got too close and see if that stopped the issue (sounds like it may). I wasn't late to my knowledge as i wasn't waiting about for the 1 min fester between shunt moves, and got out the yard as the coal went by. But after 2 goes at it both resulting in a fail, i havn't tried again yet. Thanks for the info, appreciated!
I saw AI in DC mode on NEC part of the route. Or it simply didn't raise the pantographs. Train 1750. What are we waiting for? Train 1552, which is in New Rochelle? The first dude in line has been standing there for a week or something. Can we get a sober dispatcher? Signaling also doesn't work very well on this service. I get R signals even though the AI train is constantly 3-4 signals ahead. Like I get R signal at Riverside platform when AI is already near Stamford platform. Also AI train that is chasing me all the time suddenly gone. I look at the map and... of course dude is "off-path". If you want to know how broken this game is, just play service 1750. Every second train stuck in Greenwich is included. Also you can't complete this service without deleting train 1346, which is stuck at forever red signal in Stamford(I assume it'll be waiting for every train going to New Haven until the game runs out of trains to New Haven).
Just bought it, downloaded it, set the filter to USA: no NEC Metro-North !! Deactivated the filter, scrolled through all my lines and finally found it... phew, DTG, why do you scare me so much ?
Just finished my 2nd ride with the M8 to Stamford and enjoyed it until... ... when entering Port Chester at 30mph, one of the passengers stepped from the platform onto the tracks just in front of me. This ain't funny ! C'mon DTG, this is TSW 6 and this shouldn't happen any more !!!
PS5 When trying to play the 17:30 service in the M8 from GCT it crashes while going through the loading screen. Not had crashes like this before.
Hello Everyone, I have a few questions regarding the IRL standards of Metro-North Railroad Snow Brakes What is the proper procedure for using the snow brakes on the M8 during a storm? Using the horn I know about sounding the horn when approaching the station, but what about passing trains that are stopped in a siding/yard or station? Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank You
I am unsure if anyone has brought this up, apologies if people did bring up this bug with NEC: NY-Stamford. But with the SD40-2 if you spawn it in via free roam in the timetable and link it up with a train then set the path for the train the reverser breaks and the train cannot move. It basically soft locks the train. This really breaks this SD40-2 which sucks as this is the only U.S updated suspension physics freight train right now. Another issue is why was Fresh Pond Yard not brought to this route? along with the SW1000R switcher? Finally, the consists are not in the SD40-2 spawning options when spawning the train in. The only option is the single engine. Since there are some services with the SD40-2 those formations should be presets on the locomotive as with all other trains released. Please add the formations list to the SD40-2 and fix that train bug that breaks the SD40-2 when you set the path for it.
Excellent post here my friend!!! This is the detail and quality DTG should be putting and pumping into routes for U.S players. Especially for that high price of $45 (basically the price of a full game) Man I miss the days of $30 routes and $20 trains. Not sure if this was true, but last i heard DTG did not update or bring back the GP38-2 or her sister GP40-2 due to signaling issues and the model being old or something like that. This is just laziness!!! I understand it takes time for you to add in signaling systems, but come on, you folks from Chatham are charging premium prices for this stuff only for it to not do the route fully justice and omit trains that were here in the past and blame it on signaling issues or outdated models. Many inaccuracies exist with this route, I just do not understand why just the SD40-2 was updated for this route. Both of the aforementioned locos should have been updated and brought back here respectively. Credit where it's due, DTG made a decent American route here, just of course in classic fashion it falls short drastically in terms of how much more could have been added to fully justify the price and route itself. I'm grateful for what's there, but come on, i ca't help but feel this could've been better had it been developed a little bit longer. But I guess you gotta pump out half baked routes for that $$$
