Found A Simple Fix For The Class 378's Sound Issue. Can Dtg Make An Official Patch?

There has been a sound issue with the London Overground Class 378 'Capitalstar' EMU add-on for years that has never been fixed, there is no track noise and no sound at all when coasting, which is very immersion breaking nad has lead to many negative reviews of the add-on as well as the North London Line, and North London & Goblin Lines add-ons. But I recently discovered that the Class 378 that comes with the WCML South: London Euston - Birmingham add-on does not suffer from this same issue, and it is possible to simply copy the audio files for the 378 from the "WCML-SouthAssets.ap" file and replace the ones in the "Class378Pack01Assets.ap" file. It completely fixes the issue and I am surprised that DTG have not made this patch avaiable themselves. I have left instructions on how to do it in the Steam reviews for the Class 378 so others can make the fix themselves, but it does require the user to own a copy of WCML South: London Euston - Birmingham.

I just wanted to bring this up as I think a patch for the standalone London Overground Class 378 'Capitalstar' EMU add-on should be looked into, as the only way to fix the sound currently is to purchase additional software, whether that's the WCML South add-on or a 3rd party sound pack, it seems unfair to leave the audio broken on the original add-on like this and I hope that this issue can finally be rectified.

 

What would DTG gains from making a Patch?
It would cost time and money for somebody to do this, check it works then upload the patch to Steam.
DTG have not really fixed any trains with Sound problems since they were released.

You have told people what to do if they wish to fix things
Or they could just swap the L-B 378 for any others
