Does anyone else feel like Creators Club desperately needs a way of filtering between fiction and non fiction liveries?

All I’m trying to do is find a London Midland reskin for the Class 350, and I know there are some good ones out there, but because the search engine is so awful and there is so much fictional stuff, it’s basically impossible to find (Not to mention half the preview pictures never loading…).

I’m not saying the fictional stuff is bad but it makes up probably 90% of what’s on Creators Club, and makes finding real stuff a real challenge.

It's up to the Creator to identify whether the upload is fiction or non-fiction. Personally, I use an expression in the Title: 'What If...' and then the creation is understood to be fictional. However, many do not identify fictional liveries.
A little research should identify which liveries are real-life, especially with the British TOCs liveies being well-photographed, generally. I've found looking for a specific TOC and era on Wikipedia to be useful and also Flickr for pictures.
    Hope this helps you Owen.

I’ll jump in on this one because I use creators club for what it says. Create your own designs and share.
That’s what’s creators club is for.
    IMG_0752.jpeg IMG_8801.jpeg IMG_8875.jpeg IMG_8881.jpeg
IMG_7621.jpeg Top photo is fictional work, the rest are real with all data being gathered from BR official archives.

If there’s any problem then it’s the service or search method that’s the cause. On console it’s practically impossible to find anything.
Yet if using the online search feature it’s a lot easier to find what you’re looking for.

I will agree that it’s up to the creators to make sure people are aware, however I’ve found it’s impossible to place all information in the title.
All the information will be provided in the description so players understand what it is.
Plus any knowledgeable player will clearly know the difference without having to look too much if a user provides accurate photos on CC.

Here I’ve noticed other users using my work but placing them up as their own thus misleading players.
So a lot of people do mis treat the system and DTG don’t make it easy either.

IE. Around the time this thread was created I had to place weeks worth of work up all because TSW5 wouldn’t allow me to take photos.
That’s about 40 liveries I’ve had to then transfer over to TSW6 and then pushing the backed log out in batches rather than one or two.

Plus there is something else I would like to add in that I myself recognised what users want.
Real world liveries. Even tho I create from scratch more than copy real world liveries I created a thread aimed at pulling true enthusiasts from out the wood work to work as a Heritage community project. Users could track who owned what and who was responsible for its accuracy to the real deal. Anyone who wasn’t a true enthusiast would be kicked out.

Because it would have been a project for entertainment purposes by doing what rail enthusiasts do. Stats and facts, loco numbers, routes all that kinda of stuff. A place where community members invited or involved could share paint matches or other types of information valuable to creating more and more accurate content for their own use and that of the CC users base.

So in some ways would that not be an option?. Work together not work against each other.
A friendly community a place away from the hostel world most have to contend with.

    ✌.
