This was posted on the ATS FB page

FYI for all those that use Railworks Enhancer 2. Since AP updated everything to work with the updated Weather Enhancement pack those updated packs will not work with RWE2. For diesel trains it looks like they are on fire and electric trains all the lights are on at the front and rear at all times. They will not move regardless of what you try. There now appears to be a scripting conflict making REW2 pointless. This also includes and scenario where AP stock has been used as AI.

I do not understand why AP are updating the pack with realistic sunset/ sunrise times when they haven't fixed the broken rain/ snow showers. Surely they should have been able to fix this by now even if if it was dtg's fault that it broke. How can you sell a weather enhancement pack when not all the weather enhancement tools work?

What about if you are only using the updated shaders from RWE2, is this still affected?

I use both AP Sky and RWE2 and have yet to incur any issues.

I only use QD so can’t comment on scenarios.

I also haven’t updated my AP stock since the end of 2025

I felt that way initially, but for me the software does work - the way I use it (random weather) seems to work fine with no problem with showers and occasional lightning. It would perhaps be better to accept that changes of the core TS programme may limit some features for some users, and rate that part as a free bonus rather than part of the main software.

For me the random weather prevents scenarios becoming repetitive and I can play them over and over again, never knowing what the day's weather will be like. The one loss was scenarios I had created to match the sun rising or setting which were never quite the same with the fixed timing. I'm hoping this latest improvement to the software (which I rate as significant) will reinstate such delights, although I am yet to put it to the test.

Why do you say "surely they should have been able to fix this by now". They are confined by the simulator they are working with and can't just wave a magic wand to override any issues in the core simulator. Don't you think they would have fixed it if it was possible? Showers aren't even completely broken and to be honest, it's rare I experience the problem they describe. Would you rather they just remove showers as a feature because they occasionally don't work? Far better to still include it on a "don't shout at us if they don't work" basis.

I can't think of any other developer who consistently try to fix most bugs in their products and issue free updates many years after the pack was first released. Yet they still get flak. Some people are never happy.

I would be happier if they just fixed the software I have paid for! At least DTG make a reasonable attempt to fix their software bugs rather than simply throwing their hands up and blaming someone else. Even modders release updates to fix things broken by DTG's software updates. So no I dont agree with you. lol

The amount of DLC from DTG which is Faulty and has never been fixed is quite long

What happened was that one of the latest tsc game core updates broke some lua scripts that AP packs rely upon. That was certainly not APs fault, and not something that can be easily worked around either.

I notice in the class 37 packs that all the scripts are .lua rather than .out, has it always been this way? I rekon this will interfere with running Cobras software in advanced mode as well, in my case I dont think this is going to be a step forward, for me anyway

It doesn't seem to have affected mine - what makes you think it would?

It doesnt affect mine if I use Cobras software 'Standard' mode but if I try to run them in 'Advanced' mode then I get the same result as mentioned by Peter with RWE2, I have only tested with the AP Class 37 at this stage

It’s unclear to me if there are other enhancements in the new AP weather pack update, apart from the more precise TOD (which i really do not need to be honest).

Has anyone been able to work out if there are further enhancements?
