Anyone else unable to operate the GWR Class 802 on the line between Paddington & Reading?

 

I have this issue as well. Seems like the train doesn't want to move. This issue is present on the riviera line as well. Pressume the brakes are the reason why the train isn't moving

 

I have drivin it up and down several times now without problem.

 

On timetable mode? I only have the issue on the 2016/17 timetable modes on the Paddington - Reading line, and can drive it on free-roam on that line as well as all other routes. I guess the HSTs got offended I was trying to replace them, and broke the motors behind my back or something, must be an age thing.

 

I think it happens more if you stop at a point, not when you are on the move

 

Anyone done job 3c23 depot to Paddington. I just get stuck at a red signal deleted a few trains but nothing tried 3 times now.

 

On the Class 802, on the Great Western Express, the train is able to run on diesel mode IF the pantograph is raised, regardless of the presence of overhead lines. So you turn the diesel engine fully on, and then raise the pantograph, then the train runs fine on diesel mode. Support said this is a known issue, etc etc etc, bla bla bla.

 

What was platform 5 used for at hayes and Harlington.

 

If that's the Bay, it was usually for turning round Connect services short or briefly during the 387 initial introduction when a Paddington to Hayes shuttle replaced the Greenford services which were cut back to West Ealing.

I might be but after that update this morning this route looks and feels why more empty and quite. Then what it was done two full length runs and passed only few trains both times.

 

I saw that the HST 1P26 service was fixed, so I tried it but...There's always a traffic jam between Paddington and Acton Main Line

I don't know if this is part of the problem, but when you delete service 2Y22 (class 350) near Royal Oak station opens up track 6 fot trains which goes to Paddington, but those on track 3 until fast track to Paddington near Acton Main Line station (mine) to Paddington remain blocked and I stayed behind the trains

I don't know why, but I think there's also the service 1D23 is problematic because at its scheduled start time of 09:48, the trains are running normally just for a brief moment, because afterwards I found myself stuck next to Royal Oak, like the 2Y22 service before and the trains to Reading were running normally before they got stuck too, I don't know why.

What's strange is that when I spawn in Paddington at 9:15 and leave all services on AI until 9:50 (the arrival time of service 1P26), everything works fine.

 

Today's update removed the passenger announcements on the 165 and 166. Hope I can find that mod again that added those before the remaster came out.

 

Ps5 passengers still appearing below/beside footbridge in midair at Ealing Broadway after update. Also on all routes announcements levels still have to be reset every time you start the game , Matt said 2 road maps ago that this was an easy fix.

 

All the freight now only display as 1 minute job times.

 

Well.. nevertheless i can confirm: yesterday everything worked fine, today, after the patch, there are no announcements. Just tested it out.
Also I want to confirm less traffic on the route in comparison to yesterdays trips.
So, even though some things were not touched in the "patch", there seems to be more broken than before...

I misunderstood the "asked about"-part, hence my confirmation of the error. For further information: I tried other rolling stock and the announcements work fine. And I tried the 165/166 on Riviera and the announcements do not work there either, so it has to be a problem with the class 166.

The 166 PIS announcement mod still works on the GWR 166, but sadly not on the FGB 165/166, so there's at least that for running the 166 on Riviera Line. Also it seems that rail singing got a lot quieter, I can barely hear it anymore since the update.

 

Now that this route has had it's remaster I'd love to see an extention to it. In terms of extending the Mainline I think Oxford is probably a good choice, or if extending the Mainline is too difficult then I'd love to see the Greenford and Marlow branches, and maybe even Heathrow. Although I'm still confused as to why the 387s haven't been implemented in the timetable.

Quicl remark/question: I have the "Woodham's Phoenix" railtour layer (apparently using the JT mark 2f coaches) shown as installed but could not find out what train this actually is (playable/AI, what loco, etc.)-.

Edit: I found it. It is a service with multiple parts run with the Class 66. Nice run.

Following today's GWE class 66 DB patch (16/04/2026), the AWS sunflower is still broken in both cabs. It does not light-up at all.

Just did a run on WCML Birmingham to Crewe using that loco, and AWS sunflower did not work at all.DTG Liam

I'm also getting this issue as well it only seems to be on the 165/166 services it's definitely not mods causing it, the update broke the announcements so it'll need looking into.

Sorry to bring it up again, but has loading a save game on the remastered timetable causing hard lock ups been sorted, please?

 

It still does it on xbox tried playing a saved game. Went into it and just ctd within a few seconds.

31 possible Layers on PS5 GWE 2017 show weird NOT OWNED notice:

"GWR - Electrostar Services ( Not Owned )
WCML South - London Euston to Milton Keynes "

and that final layer is in grey and not selectable. All other layers except 1

" GWR - HST Farewell Railtour (Not Owned)"

are ok and i opted for 15 of them that i think together risk minimal dlc routes loading.

Note that i do accept 2 LU layers from WCML South and a layer SN - West London Line

Was the error triggered by my not selecting some items from some UK routes ?

Although i bought the Rivet Electrostars for Southcoast and the London Commuter to Brighton, and although they have short runs out of Euston on WCML South ( 2 station stops ) what GWE 2017 says baffles me: the layer WCML South Electrostar is "Not Owned"

Is this Not Owned item for a future GWR fully electrified ... or is it what really worries me: i run TSW 6 on PC Steam, Epic Games, Xbox and this PS5, but i refused to buy it a 4th time for Steam. Is that what DTG is reporting ? Is the issue here that on PC Steam THAT DOC is in fact Not Owned ??

And why not refer to it as Rivet 377 ? Why the weird designation ? It is the only Layers oddity that i see. Why did testers not see it ?

I did go and test that 377 do their little run out of Euston.

Could it be because i refuse to pay full price for this latest Farewell DLC ? But i see no such Electrostar services advertised by DTG for that latest GWR Farewell DLC. Is it an item missing from a marketting list ?

 

I think the GWR Electrostar is not out yet. Will be a new DLC if I am not mistaken.

 

Hi DTG Liam well done on an excellent HST pack really enjoyable. Couple of questions. What’s the percentage chance of AI using the new pack? Currently don’t see it happening often. Also, the route between Twyford and Reading seems to be the most choppy and low fps. Is this something that could be improved and or will this kind of thing automatically improve with the overall work being done on performance?

 

Asides the colours and a couple of new services has anything been improved on the HST?

 

DTG Liam well done for the remaster. Recently got the route for my ps5 and it performs really well. In the 50-55fps section in fact, obviously Paddington runs between 26-35 but that is to be expected and not concerning since i have all the layers at paddington on both xbox and Ps5. I have tried it also on the series s and it performs really well as well. On the series s, around 35fps which is reasonable for the series s

Edit: Haven't had any performance issues on the the route on both platforms which is good. Have been enjoying and completing a lot of services and scenarios lately on the route and have been really enjoying. Keep up the good work and I am really looking forward to playing the 387 when it comes out.

Just as a note, I have most of the layers on both platforms so really impressed, especially if it performs really well on series s. I knew anyway that the ps5 was going to perform well anyway as the ps5 performs really well on other routes. But just tested by doing full line runs on this route and it performs really well in the high 50fps close to 60fps

I don’t know whether this is related to the latest updates, but I took a 5-car ‘165’ service which was going from Pad-Reading, don’t know which one exactly but it’s the one leaving around 09:30 the one which, strangely, you can’t do guard mode on.

I got to Slough and happened to save my game. On leaving Slough the game froze with the current screen and sound playing. The controller/keyboard were unresponsive.

I reloaded TSW6 but there was the circular directional thing that appeared on the screen (don’t know what it’s called) during load up which then stayed the whole time even after loading the game up.

So I rebooted both console and TSW6 (no circular thing this time) and reloaded the run, but the same thing happened again but this time before I’d even finished loading passengers.

I’ve not had this on any route/service before as I recall.

 

This has been an ongoing issue with the remastered timetable. If you save a game and resume, it either locks up on loading or exactly two minutes after resuming the run. In my case on all occasions it also resulted in a hard lock of the PC, unable to Alt - Tab or get Task Manager to appear. Only option being a hard reboot with the button on the PC case, not really ideal on a regular basis.

I know that Liam is aware of this and by extension presumably DTG but whether, 1. A solution is being worked on or, 2. They haven't got any idea what's causing it is unknown. It's only the new timetable that does this, if you run the original GWE or DLOGW timetable the problem does not occur. I tried disabling various layers in the RM timetable but to no avail as the problem still kept happening.
