Does Your Dovetail Account Link With Your Dlc's? (steam Account Hacked)

Okay, so my steam account is kind of hacked, long story, but all my train sim world dlc and game itslef is also gone now. But thats leads me to a question, since I have to get tsw6 again, does my dovetail account link with the dlc's? Otherwise I have to buy all of them again, and I had much dlc's.

 

No, it doesn't. DLCs and the main game are only linked to the store you bought them from. Dovetail Live only stores things like screenshots and mastery progress.

What do you mean by kind of hacked. I had problems with an old Steam account a few years back and once I got through to a real person and provided them with proof of Id they were really good at getting my access back.

 

Someone hacked my Steam account once. Used it to play TF2 and Dota 2.

...as to why they had to hack my account that only had Sonic Adventure 2 just to play those games instead of making one I'll never know...

 

I find it hard to believe people are getting hacked in 2026. Unless you responded to one of those bogus phishing web sites, that mimics the site in question (steam) and you entered your username and password there?
2 step verification should be your main task, if anything goes wrong you can request a password reset sent to your phone.

 

Unless you are able to recover your Steam account, you'll have to purchase your collection all over again.

Assuming you haven't tried customer support already, I'd go through them. As TigerT said, they're your best hope of recovery.

If you had 2FA enabled, or remember your Steam recovery code, you should be able to log in to your Steam account.

Either way, contact Steam support, and they should revert any changes since you last accessed your account.

At least TSW6 is not like ETS2 when it comes to DLC being linked.

 

I got a reply from steam support, and I had to send my credit card info, thats normal, so hopefully they will help.

 

The problem was this, I was put in a steam familly years ago, to share steam games, it was just our home, everything normal. Then, someone, logged into my father's account and put a lot of restrictions on me. Like I can't even play games anymore. Sadly my father passed away, so thats makes it even more stupid.
