On PC the passenger announcements in the 165/166 are no longer working, but the headlight and safety systems bug is resolved on the dynamic lines units
Is me or are the headlights on the new liveries really dim almost so cant see anything. I know they are not especially bright but these seem way dimmer then before.
PC Steam Just run the "Back In Blue" scenario and found a couple of issues..... As you approach each Go Via point there are "we are now approaching London Paddington" train announcements followed by "This is *******" announcements as you go through the Go Via point. You are routed onto the relief lines for a period but nothing actually passes you on the main. You are then routed back over to the main as though something should have passed you etc....
Hi Liam. Defo not a big issue by any means but I've noticed that on 43002 and 43185, the attachments for the handles are painted instead of metal.
So the DSD bug mentioned in the scenarios might be a bit more complicated than initially thought. I've had it on PS5 in all the Riviera scenarios even before a change of cab ends. The other times I've had it are: - Down by Dawlish scenario at the start when coasting for a while through the Paignton sidings before stopping at Paignton station. - Riviera Rescue scenario after the signaller permits you to crossover and I was coasting at around 25mph for a bit. In both instances if I went back and disabled DSD for those parts and then reenabled it afterwards it worked fine including the alarm sounding and responding normally after coasting for a bit. So it may be that it's a scripting issue where DSD goes silent when you are in a yard or shunting situation rather than a changing ends issue. This fits with it happening in the Open Day scenario just before you leave Old Oak Common but being fine once you get the instruction to head to Paddington. Hope this helps with a fix!
So just ran 1A07 in 43185 in June on PS5 to replicate the run that was shown in the stream. Huge amount of AI as you approach Paddington which was great, but unfortunately the extra liveries probably tipped the texture pool over the edge as I had blurry textures on the exterior of the HST by the time I got to Paddington.
This happens a lot with the models, however not to the extent seen in the photo. If using any decal or new to livery designer then make sure both setting are full when using the projector tool. It will mirror to the other side plus fill all surfaces. By slightly adjusting the angle it will fill the whole body better. Ie remove any blurry spots or unfilled gaps. That’s if you are, if not then it’s a serious issue with the model itself. ✌.
Hi GDG Liam Just tried driving 5U56 Laira depot to Exeter. The brakes won't release on the 47 when connected to the Barrier coach. This is on PS5.
Just to note, I picked 5E63 Laira Depot to Plymouth and picked a vinyled GWR power car. The game spawned 43002 as my rear power car. This is on PS5. So they do appear to sub in
I was doing some depot shunts on Laira Depot on the Riviera line in which I spawned a 7-car standard HST set and the 43002/43185 power car set with no coaches with the intention to reduce the 7-car to a 4-car and swap out the castle sets was that the carriages from the 7-car set seemed to remember the data from the coaches in which they used to be coupled to, even after I had uncoupled them and moved them to opposite sides of the depot, and they would keep the mesh between the carriage gangways connected, resulting in the black streaks across the depot as seen in the screenshots. This could be solved by quitting and relogging the session, but being on PS4 that's not entirely a quick process nowadays, so I would rather avoid it. As well as this, whenever I spawned in the locos the reverser would be set on 'Engine Only' but the Master Key would be in the 'Off' position, and this locked the reverser up, not allowing me to turn the key to the 'On' position or to move the reverser to any other position. When I did a physics reset of the loco, it did solve this however then locked the brakes from releasing, which again needed me to relog into the session for it to be fixed. One final point was when I uncoupled the rear powercar from a set and tried to set a path somewhere to traverse the signals in Laira Depot, the path would not set until I sat in the front loco of the set (The one still attached to the stock at this point), and then would disappear once again when I sat in the rear uncoupled power car. Not sure if this is just an issue with the game itself or whether it was as a result of the pack, but just thought It'd be worth a mention since I was tinkering with the pack when I experienced it. As mentioned, I play on PS4, and these issues occurred in free play, and would persist even after closing and repoening the game as a whole and resetting my PS4.
DTG Harry You may wish to change the first word in the title of this thread to 'GWR' rather than 'GBR'. May cause some confusion when the eventual GBR-branded loco is released!
Nothing added for raildriver, but I am talking to members of the community about the possibility of getting it implemented.
The barrier coaches don't seem to be Formation Designer compatible? They are only available if used on their own and as soon as any other loco etc... is used first they cannot be selected or chosen to be added to the formation. If they are used as the first vehicle nothing else is then available to be chosen. Has this already been raised/noted? Apologies if it has.
I may have been incorrect on this one. I was under the impression the GWE HST which this used as a base didn't include Raildriver support, but I've just seen there is a Raildriver config file for the HST. I don't have a Raildriver to test this but I'll ask someone who does and report back. Update: Raildriver support has been fully implemented and been sent to DTG for an update.
