PS5 How To Get Rid Of Red Handle Icon

When braking, there is a red handle icon that sometimes appears. How does one go about getting rid of it showing.

 

Im on xbox I have no idea handle you mean grab a screen shot if you can.

 

I think he means the handle icon on top of the screen, I think it's traction lock.

I don't know with what train you have this, did you maybe not turn off the power and brake already?

 

Does anyone know where is the option to toggle on/off traction lock in the game settings? Specifically which sub menu.

I thought there was but I can’t find it anymore. Maybe I’m misremembering?

EDIT: I found it. It’s called Minimal HUD Traction Lock under HUD & Gameplay

 

That's just to turn off the icon. You'll still get traction lock if you try to apply power with the brakes applied or the doors open, which is just traction lock doing its job.

 

For many trains types the traction lock icon is stuck showing and doesn’t actually indicate the lock is active. For other train types it’ll incorrectly show after restoring a save (but might go away the next time you get to a full stop and perform the other actions that would normally clear the lock). So, I can sympathize with the desire to remove the icon.
