I would like to propose the Izmir Metro as a new route for Train Sim World. The Izmir Metro offers a unique Aegean city atmosphere combined with modern rail system operations. The approximately 27 km long line consists of 24 stations and generally runs underground and above ground. The line connects densely populated areas, business centers, and important transfer points in the city. Although most of the route passes through tunnels instead of along the coastline, this setup creates a focused urban driving experience with consistent signaling, close station spacing, and high-frequency service patterns—ideal for a detailed metro simulation game. An important operational feature is the integration with the Izban suburban system at the main transfer stations. Izban functions as a main suburban line covering most of the Izmir metropolitan area, providing tiered service options and realistic passenger flow dynamics between the metro and the regional rail system. Additionally, significant archaeological findings were discovered during the metro construction. Some of these artifacts are currently on display at stations such as Çankaya, presenting a rare combination of modern transportation infrastructure and visible historical heritage within the network.
