Due to me having issues with the Unofficial Editor I thought I would have one attempt at making an extra paths mod and created 140 paths in one sitting. Cooked it in TSW4 and then added it to TSW5. It worked. So you can see 2 very simple test scenarios to prove the concept. 1) Hackney - Graham Road curve. (Signals didn't pick up route divergence). 2) Willesden Junc - Turnback siding and Link from Wembley sidings (CL86 running as AI). Quite please with the outcome. As usual, all screenshots taken from a scenario created using the standard Scenario Editor with standard vanilla formations. Will now need to get it tested to see if it works in TSW6.
Some shots of me messing about with a scenario at Stratford. Need to work out now if I can get the DLR routes operational. So far most paths seem to be behaving themselves although I have found one where the train sets off in reverse The route could do with more markers but, despite this, the mod will still improve things greatly for scenario creators. As always all screenshots taken from a Scenario created in the normal Scenario Planner.
And a few more as we depart Stratford and head off for Hackney. All screenshots taken from a scenario created once the new paths mod has been attached.
A few more screenshots including a static DLR service that I have got into the scenario. (Now must try to find out how to get it to move). Am happy with the scenario up until Camden Road now so we are getting somewhere Enjoy
Have now done a full run through to Willesden Junction. Plenty of AI but, unfortunately a pair of CL20's were given priority over the player service at Gospel Oak so that mucked up all my timings. Anyway at least it gave me a chance to see what was happening at the end of the line and to sketch out some rough timings there.
Willesden + WCML As always, all screenshots taken from a scenario created with a modded Scenario Planner
Tidied up the end a bit but still have a couple of timing issues with the scenario in the middle stage. Should be ready to upload soon Enjoy
Working on a second scenario that starts at Willesden TMD. Once again not a great deal of markers to play with to place stock around the sheds but I think I have done reasonably well with some clever placements of services (allowing them to run up to each other of the same sidings). As always all screenshots created from a scenario in a modded Scenario Editor. Enjoy
Managed to squeeze a few more services into Willesden TMD to give the impression of a busy depot. I'm quite pleased with how it's turned out. I just now need to run a player service down into the middles of all of this and see what happens. (Plus correct a couple of my paths which appear to be incorrectly named) Enjoy
A few more piccies this time from a short scenario (in distance) that packs in 42 services in just under 30 minutes. All screenshots taken from a scenario run from a modified Scenario Planner
And then we end up in the depot itself. Quite a variety of stock on display. All AI services of course. No Freeroam here Enjoy
Thanks very much for your comment. It is appreciated I really do anything special when taking screenshots. If I have a process then it is usually this. 1) Stop the game at a point where there is something interesting to 'photo'. 2) Move around in the frozen image to get the best angle of whatever it is I want to see. 3) Zoom in to as close as possible to the subject you are taking the screenshot of. Make this the main focal point. 4) Add approx 5% rotation, either direction, to add interest to the image. 5) Reduce Exposure by 5%, increase Saturation by 5%, increase Vignette to 70% and reduce Brightness by 5%. That's all I do. Nothing remarkable. (I may take more than one screenshot and then choose the best one).
Third scenario. This time driving across Mildmay in a Silverlink liveried CL101 DMU. The scenario starts at Willesden Junction Platform 2 (underneath Mildmay) and then climbs up to join the main line proper. Quite a few things to see en-route Enjoy
Scenario complete up until West Hampstead where a couple of tweaks are needed on the MML. (Some AI services are visible on the Chiltern main line as we pass underneath). Enjoy
Had another run through of the CL101 DMU scenario and everything was fine apart from one misplaced AI service that mucked up the end. Anyway I managed to get some more screenshots on the way.
And we eventually arrive in Stratford And that concludes a very busy (78 AI services) and very colourful scenario
Now struggling with driving what feels like an under-powered CL47 hauling a heavy train of loaded JNAs. Plenty of signal checks and hard to get the speed up over 20 mph.
Finally, on approach to Willesden we pass a CL66 heading up a train of Ammonia tanks before then coming to a halt at a red signal because I had set up an AI service incorrectly !!!
Final scenario before uploading. This time an early evening run from Highbury & Islington to Willesden Low Level platforms. The run is slightly different in that it has a short amount of wrong line working due to some engineering works that are going on near Camden Road. Enjoy
Willesden TMD is still busy even though it's much harder to see anything The short bit of wrong line running in this scenario made a bit of a change. The signalling on all other crossovers on the line prevents you from using them in scenarios. A shame really.
Mod now uploaded to Trainsim Community and is available here: Mildmay Route - EXTRA PATHS - Train Sim Community Note I have only been able to test this in TSW5 so far so if anyone wants to download this to a TSW6 and let me know if you can see the extra paths in Scenario Designer there then that would be great. A quick one-line post her to say that it works (or it doesn't) would be great Thank you.
