    Similiar Routes:
Brighton Main Line: Brighton - London Victoria
East Coastway: Brighton - Eastbourne, Seaford

    Information:
It is operated by Southern, using their electrostars (class 377/3, 377/4). It has been in operation for over 180 years, operated by Govia Thameslink. The top speed is 90 mph, using third-rail to cover the route.
It normally takes around 1h 45m to fully complete the route from Brighton - Southampton Central, but if you drive to Portsmouth Harbour, it would only take 1h 30m. You can operate a class 66, 377/3, 377/4, 700 possibly GWR train which uses AI to go further on from Southampton Central, and SWR, which is very unlikely players could drive, since they leave the route so early, going to Havant and London Waterloo. Licenses included would be Govia Thameslink Railway, branding for class 377 and class 387 electric units. It operates under GMT timezone. Havant includes the joining of the mainline from London Waterloo, allowing you to see SWR services. It could be set in 2018 to include the 313s and GWR Brighton services, 2024, only operating electrostars and classes 444 and 350.

    Trains would include:

    Services:

    Brighton - Southampton Central
    Brighton - Portsmouth Harbour
    Brighton - Portsmouth & Southsea
    Brighton - Chichester
    Brighton - Littlehampon
    Brighton - Bognor Regis

    AI:

All of the routes above - Southern
Portsmouth Harbour - London Victoria - Southern
Southampton Central - London Victora - Southern
Bognor Regis - London Victoria - Southern
Littlehampton - London Victoria - Southern
Chichester - London Victoria - Southern
Portsmouth Harbour - Cardiff Central - GWR
Portsmouth Harbour - Bristol Temple Meeds - GWR
Portsmouth Harbour - London Waterloo - SWR

    Reason:

The line Brighton - Southampton Central is located in the south of England, it could either be a quick, non-stopping service or a slow, passenger service. It enables Brighton to become a major hub for southern services and allow more freedom in the game with many major stations being included. It is a scenic, fun coastal route which would be absolutely amazing to drive in game - you would get my money! It allows drivers to travel back in time and see the line with the class 313s, which have now been removed.

It could be added as a Coastways bundle, with East Coastway and West Coastway included. It allows players to choose how they want to drive and has many different routes available. The RHTT class 66 could also be included in this route. Barnham station also offers a variety of technical maneouvres, such as reversing to go to Bognor Regis and bidirectional platform 3. Littlehampton and Bognor Regis are also branches off of the mainline, which can only be accessesed in certain direction and are a break from the mainline, with different scenery and sites.

There is many different types of train to drive in this route which makes it even more fun to drive. The class 377/3 being released already makes this route make perfect sense. It is a very active ride which causes players to focus more on driving. I think it would be fun because you have beautiful scenery mixed in with short stopping servies or fast paced services. I think that it would be more doable if you make the branch to Littlehampton, then Bognor Regis, then Portsmouth Harbour and then finally Southampton Central.

I really hope that this route gets added to the game as I live close to the line and have experienced its beauty in person, it has some amazing sites such as the historic city of Chichester with its amazing Cathedral, the Titanic History of Southampton, the views of Portchester Castle and the iconic Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth. Thank you so much for reading my suggestion, and please leave a comment if you see anything which needs to be changed, thanks!
