The first time I tried uploading a high-quality screenshot the website says the file is too large. The file is about 12Mb. Any ideas on how to upload 4K screenshots?
As there is no snow falling or even cold here we can enjoy winter in Train Sim World, a DB BR 146.2 is waiting for the passengers to 'slide into the coach' as the platforms seems to be very icy on the Main Spessart Bahn: Aschaffenburg - GemĂ¼nden route.
An ACS-64 hauled train gets priority into the tunnel out of Penn Stn. as I wait in the Ex-Metroliner Control Cab Car hauled service on Northeast Corridor

Just a little question: 4K screenshots posted by thearkerportian or Rob Jansen have resolution 4096x2160 but correct 4K at 16:9 is 3840x2160 My game aslo create HQ screenshot at 4096x2160 so I rather post them in native resolution 2560x1440 Is there some bug about that size or that wider 4K (4096) it's OK ?
Not to clutter up to much, but the game creates these 4K ones, this size is known an Cinema 4K it seems, but still is recognized as 4K (4096 × 2160 (full frame, 256∶135 or ≈1.90∶1 aspect ratio)
That's not a problem at all, I'm mainly just looking for higher resolutions so that we could include various dimensions on our Instagram page when featuring winners, currently if a user submits a 1920x1080 screenshot, the Instagram post will be limited to a square version (1080x1080). Instagram's best format is 1080x1350 (the latter being the vertical edge) which doesn't work if a screenshot is 1920x1080. Hope that explains it! Dmitri
So 16:9 aspect ratio condition isn't strict, that is just limit for ultra wide screenshots (21:9). Thanks for reply, I will set Screenshot Quality to High again when DCI 4K resolution is OK.
It's not super strict, but you have to keep in mind that screenshots go into the loading screens, so they must be at least 1920x1080 in order to fit onto the screen properly. If any side is smaller than that then we are dealing with blank spaces which is a basis to reject screenshot a victory. Not that it happens very often, however!
Congrats to the first winner of 2020 - Matto140! Great and balanced shot, well done! New thread: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw-screenshot-contest-week-2-january-2020.20273/
Nice one Matto140. A very crisp wintery shot. Brrr, make's you feel cold. Now the running silent phase has finished I'll say thanks. Unfortunately the picture was only saved in HD resolution. I spent so long positioning the 166 to get it "just right" I didn't want to go though it all again once I'd seen the new recommendations! I'll up the pixels for any fresh shots.
