So these are the answers I had so please score your own and post your scores. If you feel youve a different right answer let me know!! TrainGeek08 gets the tie breaker. 1) Manhattan Island, Long Island, Isle of Wright, Lindau 2a) Italy 2b) Tirano (RhB) & Tirano (RFI), dont think any one got both, but give yourself 1 mark for Tirano 3) Altoona Station (HSC), Barstow, Victorville (Both Cajon) Cumberland (Sandpatch Grade) are the four I had written down. 4) New York Penn & Embankment (both 9mtrs below sea level)- in fairness Id forgotten that GCT had a lower level on a route I dont own but as the upper level is 13mtrs above sea-level the lower level is probably about the same as these 2 so unless anyone proves otherwise give yourself a point for this as well. 5) Main-Spessart Bahn, Peak Forest or North East Corridor - Newark Penn to New Rochelle 6) S-Bahn Voralburg (some great answers though!!) 7) Fowler 4F (1924) 8) Island Line/Isle Of Wright 2022 9) DTG Protagonist 10) Tharantder Rampe TB 527 (there are none over the Forth Rail Bridge itself) Should I do another at the end of May?
another one would be great, lots of good questions in there. just a point about question 5, would Frankfurt S Bahn also be valid, as a short section on the northbound approach to the flughafen s bahn platforms isn’t there anymore?
thank you, yes I'll be try and be a bit more specific in the questions next time. Glad you enjoyed it.
At least I got the tie breaker . Good quiz too! Cannot wait until next month to see if you do another one.
Was great quizz can I make small suggestion. Next would mind spacing the questions out because I had trouble separating them to me it just read as one long story. Sorry it was good tho thank you.
By my own count: 1) 4/4 2) 2/2 3) 2/4, although I have to ask if the LIRR ones are valid (I have no idea; just remember seeing a YT video a while back alleging that LIC / H Avenue have no services) 4) 0/2 5) 1/1 (also got NEC, but I'll take PFR) 6) 1/1 7) 1/1 8) 1/1 9) 1/1 10) 0 / 1 Total, if I'm right: 13/18.
You should do this as often as you can On a separate note, would it be okay if I host a similar quiz sometime on this thread ? My idea is that I'll ask more complicated questions like - 'Name this equipment', 'What train have this feature', 'where is this located' etc. Players would be free to use the game to find it out (only the game, not Google) and the first correct answer per question wins.
Thank you redrev1917 To begin with, let me explain some rules - Every once in a while, I'll post a list of 10 questions related to a specific aspect of TSW (e.g. routes, rolling stock, infrastructure etc.). All of these questions will be initially marked as UNANSWERED You're allowed (and encouraged) to jump into the game, search the forums, review DTG livestreams, product manuals etc. to find the answers. Some questions would require you to take in-game screenshots. Please avoid the usage of search engines, LLMs or image scanning tools. First one to answer the question correctly would earn the bragging rights for that question. Additionally, the UNANSWERED tag next to the question will be replaced by ANSWERED BY <USERNAME> Feedback & queries are welcome ! Good luck

Not quite Those rotary switches & circuit breakers are way too modern for the OBB 1020. Think about something old, but not 'that' old
Today I learnt that TSW has a secret Italian route that I've either completely forgotten about or just completely missed! Just like I missed out on the quiz! I'll keep an eye out for next month! At least I have Shackamaxon's quiz! Fairly sure the class 313 has one above the driver's side window. Total guess but the F40PH-3C from Boston Sprinter? (Stujoy can have it if he's correct - just seen that he's already submitted an answer)
Those are all correct, well done ! Yep ! You've got it now That's correct ! They determine the light level inside the cab and automatically adjust the screen brightness. An unintended side-effect however is that the screens briefly 'flashes' when the train crosses under a footbridge or a road bridge. Perfect; That was one of the harder ones so, well done ! No actually. That would still count as two windows. It's just multiple panes mounted on 2 window frames. Yes, stujoy's answer is correct. Apart from the 2 windows on the side of the driver's seat, you can also open the two mounted on the door itself. So that makes up a total of 4 interactive windows in 1 cab. Great job so far everyone ! A lot of questions are still up for the grab so keep it up
I knew it wasn't one of the American locos I owned but I recognised it (as I previously did own Peninsula Corridor and it's associated DLC) .
While only the Swiss tracks are accessable I think having that small section in Italy is one of the many things which make Bernina Line stand out.
Yeah I couldn't remember if the windows on the doors could be opened or not - I think that's a class 710 feature but I couldn't remember. This is fun!
