Hi everyone and the DTG Team, I was recently looking at the route maps and screenshots available on Steam for both the London to Faversham route and the Medway Valley Line. Looking at the two pictures side by side, it seems like these two routes connect so naturally that they could be merged together without any major issues. The route I have in mind for TSW6 would be a fantastic, seamless network: starting from London St Pancras, running all the way to Faversham, and also including the branches heading down to Ashford and. This would create a massive playground with incredible operational variety and endless timetable possibilities. Is a route merger like this technically possible on the current engine, and is it something you might consider for the future of TSW6? Thanks for reading!
i’d be all for this, on a few conditions: sehs is updated to have the same lighting standard as medway. the difference is stark the scenery across sehs is updated to modern day standards. the remaster was pretty good but the routes 4 years old nearly and starting to show its age one timetable. keep the original medway timetable and all the current sehs ones (im not sure how many there are as of today) but create a brand new one that means we don’t have to worry about conflicting time periods fix the passenger system to make it realistic for a route that goes to london
I like this idea and I would even push the route down to Dover via Folkestone from Tonbridge, referencing a suggestion from another user recently.
Hello Thanks for your replies, I agree with many of your points. My original idea was not just to “glue” SEHS and Medway Valley together, but more to imagine a proper, coherent Kent network for TSW6 or a future title. If this ever happened, SEHS would definitely need to be brought up to the same visual standard as Medway, especially in terms of lighting, scenery and overall atmosphere. A fully reworked timetable would also be essential to avoid conflicts between the existing services. I also agree that passenger behaviour would need improvement, especially for a route serving London and major stations. The idea of extending the network towards Dover via Folkestone is very interesting too. It would make the project even more ambitious, but also much more varied and immersive. Of course, it would be a big technical challenge, but this kind of larger connected network is exactly what I would love to see more of in Train Sim World.
