Firstly l don’t want to be reinstalling all my products, because of a ultra slow download speed of 0.18MB/s., I have only last week finished downloading all my purchases.

Secondly l would like to see the following UK routes at some stage in TSW7. K&ES railway,
The Metropolitan Line, Severn Valley Railway,
Manchester to Stoke on Trent via Macclesfield
The Chiltern Line London to Birmingham via Banbury and North Wales coast Holyhead to Chester, NYMR.

Finally, I would welcome a Sydney City rail route as well. I really don’t see any of those mentioned happening, but l can live in hope!!

since I am from Macc I would also like the Macclesfield line as well we got close in TSC in that it went as far as Kidsgrove and in TSW to Cheadle Hulme. I would like Manchester to Stafford to fill in the blanks

I think an Easy-to-use route builder that allows players to make their own routes and share them on the Creators Club would be great

    What i would wish for...

That DTG would stop re-releasing the same game every year and spend that time and effort into actually fixing issues that are known for many years now.

Considering the number of Go a route takes up, I don't think it would be so easy to post it on the Creator Club.

l agee as on my slow internet it is an absolute nightmare.
l wholly agree. Get this edition working correctly and stick with it. TSW7 will have the same bugs and possibly a few more as well!

I doubt very much this is something that will happen, EVER.

What I would want for TSW7 Is less focus on core features and more focus on a quality of life aspect for the game, focusing more on performance and how the game runs as a whole, while, of course, keeping the three core routes.

Think about it, the root of a lot of issues, even in third party routes has been linked to the core of the game, which has remained largely unchanged for a long time

in my eyes anyway, it would make sense for the next game to stamp out a large thorn in the side of this game.

I just hope a bit of imagination and creative thinking has gone into the three routes, assuming that will actually be a thing. TSW6 was okay but didn't exactly take the breath a way...
UK - a good route choice but completely wrong era. Should have been 90's with Paxman HST's, residual loco hauled and Pacers along with 150 and 153, or... 70's with loco hauled bringing in either a Warship or a Class 50 depending on exact time setting and either a Class 120 or Class 118 DMU.

USA - Another slow cyclostyled NE commuter route.

Germany - A mostly recycled interurban DB red dirge.

B- at best, they need to do much better this time.

US - Updated and extended NYC to Trenton, now going to Philly. Modern era
GB - Liverpool Street to Ipswich/Felixstowe plus Colchester Town & Sudbury branches - 2020
    D - Berlin S-bahn - S9 Flughafen BER Airport – Spandau & S45 Flughafen BER Airport – Südkreuz - Modern.

Yes that would be really good. Especially for console users. A simple basic version. Doesn’t have to be complex like the PC Editor lol. They could make it in the same style as the amazing Far Cry 5 map editor. You can choose all existing assets and place them wherever you want.

My #1 wish is for locos to be separated from routes as an option to save on the inevitable massive annual downloads we have to do with each release due to layering requirements.

I’d really like to see better end‑to‑end runs within TSW, rather than relying so heavily on route hopping. For example, when the Trent Valley Line is released, it would be great to see it fully merged from London Euston to Crewe, allowing for long‑distance driving in the same way I'd like ti see LNER services run from London to Edinburgh. This would add far more depth and realism to the experience.

I’d also prefer to see existing routes updated and improved, rather than continuing to release entirely new versions of TSW. The potential is definitely there, but ongoing bug issues still cause problems almost daily. Routes like the Bakerloo Line, even with community mods, still feel like they could benefit from further official updates to really make them immersive.

In addition, I’d love to see more routes carried over from the original Train Simulator (TS) era. Examples include the Metropolitan Line and the Great Eastern Main Line, ideally set in the era of the Class 321 and 360 EMUs, or even using more modern rolling stock.

It would also be great to see the c2c route included, especially as it would create a natural route‑hopping connection at Barking with the Overground.

Overall, I think there’s huge potential for TSW if more focus is placed on expanding, refining, and connecting existing content rather than starting from scratch each time

Some locos are listed separately on Steam. I generally download my favourite dozen routes and a similar amount of traction then leave the rest until I intend to use them. If you're downloading one route before you use it, it'll take a couple of minutes at worst. With TSW6 it was a couple of months before I'd downloaded all UK routes/traction and some German and USA routes are still not downloaded. Saves time and space.

As I've said here before, according to Steam, I've played MS Flight Simulator 2024 for 96 hours. In truth all but 30 minutes of that has been downloading updates over the last two years. By comparison, TSW takes a couple of hours if you're downloading everything. It's nothing.

DTG hasn't released a UK route (1st Party) this release barring riviera line. This has me wondering if they are focused on a yearly (Next TSW) UK route whilst 3rd parties fill in for UK releases during the year, does this mean the biggest route incoming for TSW 7?

Potentially a merge of East Coast Peterborough to Doncaster with an extension to London Kings Cross with the 800 and 379 or 717 with the special edition loco being the 91?

    Or

The Chatnam mainline down from London Victoria down to Dover (like the TSC route)? With the 465, 375 with new stock being the 707 and 466?

If DTG start releasing Kings Cross or other mainlines into London one of two things will happen, either they’ll be deserted (eg Euston) or the route will crash all the time (eg oh err Euston)

Or even better a new ECML route without a IET,

like having the intercity 43s, 90s and 91s all running all the same time with the special loco being the class 89 (best electric loco ever)

I doubt it to be honest. The last British route we got from DTG was GOBLIN According to some, both WCML South and the Riviera line were developed by Rivet. I don't know how this translates to the German and American content though, but I doubt we'd see a massive route for the British side considering Rivet were working on their 377/3 + 171 pack and the ECW remaster (with Liam). Would be nice though.

A shame to be honest that we don't get routes being churned out like in the heyday of TSC.

We could normally have expected a short in house or 2P sub contracted route (Goblin, Glossop, CCN) by now, but there seems to be nothing simmering on the stove. Happy to be proved wrong, but just get the vibe things are stalling badly at DTG as regards TSW both creative direction and actual coder/developer resources.

It’s likely that a UK route was not made this year because somebody had to make a little island instead. Track laying, signalling, stations and scenery plus some little trains and a timetable and stories. That lot did not make itself.

You must be younger than me. If I have a few glasses of wine while driving in TSW it'll inevitably end with my wife hearing a constant AWS warning sound coming from my hobby room because I've fallen asleep on my keyboard.

I think that’s separate. The Thomas game is an extra game and won’t have any connection to how well TSW is doing. I really don’t know where people’s perception of TSW sales tanking comes from as it doesn’t appear to be evidence based. If DTG can afford to release fewer DLC of their own for a year while they instigate other projects, that could point in the other direction. It’s difficult to tell.

Birmingham - Milton Keynes via Northampton with the fast line from Rugby.

Class 730 & Potentially the Class 221 for extra DLC?

I do think this becoming absolutely vital as TSW grows and grows and grows. The strain on disk space and addon mounting is becoming unsustainable. The yearly re-release of all the DLC represents the best opportunity to make this separation. Equally, maybe it’s time to make some very common rolling stock part of the game’s core - I’m sure you can all think of what stock this would be.

The locos on the Steam page are the add-on locos DLCs, which isn't what I was referring to. The vast majority of the rolling stock in TSW is embedded in route PAK files with no option of installing them separately.
I acknowledge the other points in your post though....but installing as you need them doesn't really apply to me as most of the content is needed from day 1
Honestly though, I don't think this DLC separation will ever happen...it would have been done by now if it were possible. This issue is just growing worse each year and should have been nipped in the bud back in the TSW2 days.

I'd go a step further, integrate several older routes right into the core, frankly it might be lower effort than even pulling out trains from those routes and including them. Those old TSW1 (or even TSW2) routes go on such heavy discount that having them just be included with the core would do a lot more for the game than to keep on selling them as separate purchases. Would definitely do a lot to make the free/training portion be actually attractive if you got a couple of hours of content to explore. Plus would mean the layers of a lot of older routes could be covered this way. You wouldn't need to ever include the CSX GP38-2 in anything ever again if Sand Patch just came with the game after all, just as one example.

This may seem like a silly idea but stick with me.

On those timetable runs where your drive finishes at a station but not the train's final destination, place a driver in hi-viz where the cab stops and replace the return to UI with a notice saying "Time for a change of driver, secure the train and alight" or similar. You get out on to the platform/trackside and then it cuts to the menu.

    Also, put an option in the settings to be able to start each time Timetable service;
    1: In the cab
2: Outside the cab (on a platform or in the siding)
3: Outside the cab pre-arrival (start a few minutes earlier and watch your train roll in with the AI driver you're replacing - where applicable)
3: Start of shift (in the concourse or near the depot mess room so you also have to find the correct train).

I guess there could be options in settings as to where you finish your duty too.

I'd like to see a new CEO at DTG.

    One that's focused on:

    1: Quality, Fully Finished DLC.
2: Mass program of bug fixes
    3: Less Marketing, more Devs

I believe Matt Peddlesden needs more authority and not being as heavily restricted by the penny pinchers above him.

Possibly the most unintentionally funny post I've seen for ages.

Reminds me of commuters with no clue of how railways operate loudly offering their opinion when there are delays. My favourite one was Colchester North after someone did an arson on 312707, burning adjacent signal and power cables in the process. As we piled on the replacement bus that morning someone said "More chaos, it's any excuse to not run trains". I corrected her, mentioned the incident and her response was "Well, why don't they just get it sorted?"

"Oh yeah, I'll call First Great Eastern and find out why they didn't think of that".

As always, with pretty much any issue on any subject the explanation is a little more nuanced and/or complicated than those on the outside care to consider.

I really like this idea. Did you put it in the survey? Personally this would really add to the immersion for me, although I could see it being a bit of a pain to implement as you’d have to manually determine where this positions were for each service. I can see it being great for services that start in yards too, where you actually start in a mess room or similar and then have to walk down the side of the track to get to your train. Sign me up!

Thank you, that's very kind of you.
I'm pretty sure I did mention it in a survey and have also suggested similar in these forums. I know the staff read these forums so if they like it, I'm sure they stick it on the list of possible new gameplay ideas. I was pushing for random weather patterns in the early days (after East Coastway I think) and while I'm not taking credit for it, it can't have hurt.

Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I would like to see more NA rolling stock and loaded cargo options. I would like to see a Military Cargo pack for N. A , as there's always a military equipment move on the Cajon Pass and other subdivisions, but with the limited N. A 3rd parties guess ill have to keep dreaming

Not really fussed about the reinstall my internet is tops out at 900 mbps, so will take mere minutes. Would really like to see a PS trophy list revamp, one with longtivity, like TSW 2 (drive 10,000 miles) as well as DLC trophies again. Also want a deltic and definitely a class 91. Suprised these havent been done yet. More focus on ECML now that a vast majority of the west coast is done
