Has anyone else found fun easter eggs in the game? I'm not talking about the stuff you're supposed to be hunting for (for achievements), but hidden stuff that serves no other purpose but a giggle for the devs and fun for the players who stumble on them.

    I'll start.

In the DB BR 101 Expert, completely power down the loco (or start with a service or scenario that has the loco powered down). Now, switch on the battery, sit down on the drivers seat, click the EBULA screen to focus on it and wait.
You'll see the screen cycle through the EBULA computer's boot sequence, and for a few seconds the screen will show a Windows Embedded desktop (or something made to look like one without infringing on Microsoft's IP).

If you look closely, among the icons that are supposed to be there on that desktop, there's a familiar icon to long time players of Dovetail games.

Just to be clear, the easter egg I mentioned is actually in the game.

Not sure if it counts as an Easter Egg exactly, but there's this weird thing in the woods in the Training Centre.

On SEHS at Ashford depot there's a driving simulator in the depot itself.

There's the donkey in the Training Centre on the rock feature in the small lake near the tunnel.

I believe there's a donkey in the ruins just outside Lewes, in the direction of Brighton.

I like those little unexpected places where you can sit and watch trains go by.
I was really impressed that I was able to sit on the bank of the River Roding where the London boroughs of Redbridge, Barking and Newham meet, next to the railway bridge and watch the trains go past on the Gospel Oak to Barking Riverside route.

This was a special discovery for me because it was one of my favourite spots for getting away from life when I was a child in the 80s and early 90s. I love the sound of rivers, I used to look out for rare birds like Kingfishers and Warblers, I used to look across the river at East Ham Depot (now partially obscured by the A406) and wish I worked there, not realising that in a few years I would be the HR officer there.

The only less fun bit is that the line in TSW is so dead.

There is a donkey in some form in every route created by DTG. Some are very hard to find though.

Niddertalbahn has some easter eggs like the mailbox in the forest, the tree you can climb on etc.

I can't quite remember, definitely seem to recall it's in some thick woods, I'll have a look tomorrow.

There's a road that goes North uphill from the centre of the training centre loop, it's on the left a few metres into the tees.

Location: Top of the tunnel that carries the SFS out of Wurzburg
You will need to battle with the invisible walls to find this

That's a donkey. Apparently (I just learned this today from this very topic), there are donkeys hidden in all DTG built routes in TSW.

There's a Class 66 working hidden in every UK route. Does that count?

In Dresden Neustadt there is a golden Donkey Statue which is probably a reference to the Goldener Reiter Statue. This Statue is not actually there IRL but is located near the Train Station.

In Peterborough station if you use photo mode to slip past the invisible walls at the exit barriers, by the cafe you can find these two arcade machines.

Also as a little bonus, the customer service attendant at the station is of the feline persuasion.

On Blackpool Branches, not only is the old alignment of the line through Poulton fully explorable but the long since abandoned platforms of Poulton Curve Halt are there too.

East Coast Mainline's PIS screens show some services as 'Hull Trains' and (I think) Lumo, despite being represented by the 801.
A number of routes also have railtours operated by Dovetail according to the PIS.

Also not an Easter Egg so to speak, and very well known, but the hill at Meißen might be the best scenery viewpoint in the entire franchise (outwith Bernina Line) and certainly my favourite.

Somewhere in London, there is a random piece of OHLE catenary on Euston-MK
Use external free camera (8) and go past HS2 works to find it on the inside of a building [IMG]
