    ## Route Suggestion: Koralmbahn (Graz – Klagenfurt)

I would like to suggest the Koralmbahn between Graz and Klagenfurt as a future route for Train Sim World.

    ### Overview
    - Route: Graz Hbf – Klagenfurt Hbf
    - Length: ~130 km
    - Country: Austria
    - Operator: ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways)
    - Status: One of Austria’s most modern high-speed railway projects

    ### Why this route?
The Koralmbahn is one of the most ambitious railway projects in Europe, featuring:
    - The Koralmtunnel (~33 km) – one of the longest railway tunnels in the world
    - A mix of high-speed sections and scenic Alpine landscapes
    - Modern infrastructure designed for fast passenger and freight traffic

This would offer a unique experience in TSW compared to existing routes.

    ### Gameplay Potential
    - High-speed driving through long tunnels and open countryside
    - Regional and intercity operations
    - Freight services using the corridor between Styria and Carinthia
    - A varied timetable with both stopping and express services

    ### Rolling Stock Ideas
    - ÖBB Railjet (push-pull high-speed services)
    - ÖBB Cityjet / Talent EMUs for regional services
    - Freight locomotives (e.g. Taurus / Vectron)

    ### Scenery & Features
    - Graz urban area and Klagenfurt basin
    - Alpine terrain and bridges
    - The full Koralmtunnel experience (long-distance underground driving)
    - Modern stations and infrastructure

    ### Why it fits TSW
    - Expands the Austrian network (currently underrepresented)
    - Combines high-speed and regional gameplay
    - Introduces a landmark European megaproject

    ### Closing
I believe the Koralmbahn would bring something completely new to Train Sim World and attract both high-speed fans and players who enjoy scenic European routes.

    Thanks for considering this suggestion!

that thread is 14 months old and lost in the abyss, the only way route suggestion will be taken seriously is if lots of people request it.

on the route itself, this sounds interesting. we need another austrian route and it sounds like a good mix
