The Roadmap just confirmed. Cargo Line Vol.6 is a thing.

This Time it's For a German Route. It's called Cargo Line Gas.

    Feel free to Discuss

Personally, I hope for a German Version of Class 66 or 77

I confess I'm really curious to know which rolling stock will be used this time

I bet it will be the german variant of the class 66 :D

My guess is it's the Zagkks gas tank car, one of the most common gas tank cars on the european rail network. It's used for LPG (For example Propane).
But a cryogenic tank car would be cool (!)...

I just checked in the Game itself, and that looks like the Ludwigsbahn. This Screenshot was taken in Mannheim.

For the UK freight rolling stock situation, the constant recycle of the class 66 was a downside of the cargo line.
For the german cargo line i dont really care about the loco included, given the comparable large variety of substitution options and the pricing of the dlc.
Something i would want to have are new liverys for the 185 and layers on appropriate austrian/NL routes.
One thing i agree on is that it would be nice to get the class 77 for a special cargo line, possibly dedicated to a future diesel only route.

    Definitely getting this pack.

I'd love for them to have expert coupling so we can use them with the Expert 145.

Looks promising, but let's wait and see what else it will include, and which routes it will layer into. At this point, I'm cautious ;)

Honestly I don't get why so many people are so keen on a class 66/77, the thing's butt ugly. But I guess tastes differ... to me, it would even be an incentive not to buy the pack.

Let Skyhook team up with TSG/Maik and have a 232 instead!

I'm not a big Fan of the Class 66/Class 77 either. But at least one would be nice, just for a Change.

doubt it will have this feature, expert coupling is a TSG thing. Cargo line never called itself expert. So no, not going to happen.

It’s great news that Cargoline is expanding into new territory but I hope that Skyhook haven’t finished with the UK. There are so many more wagons that could be done!

Very unlikely to be a new loco, that's the exception rather than the norm with these packs, and less need - I expect these wagons will sub in in service mode with any German freight loco. Scenarios probably using the 185.

Damn, you may actually be onto something here. Could this be the pack that finally fixes the absolute trainwreck (hah) of the 187?

Obvious you're not a train person. For you would know a train's beauty comes from its function.

Interesting, thanks for educating me. Didn't know that everyone has to like the same trains for the same reason to be a "train person".

By the many BR 185 that are already in the Game, I wouldn't be Surprised if DTG one Day decides to put this Loco in the Core giving us another Free Loco. Especially if Skyhook plans to bring more Cargo Line Packs to German Routes.

Yeah, it definitely makes sense to include the 66, 185 and Dostos in the core as they come with every modern UK/German route anyway, so it would

    a) save disk space
    b) help the addon mounting issue
    c) stop people complaining that they get provided with every route when the alternative would be worse

As far as I know Dostos are already in the Core. They were Added with the BR 145 or BR 147 not really Shure

What does that mean in practice? If I buy one of those, will the assets be transferred to the core game and removed from all the other .pak files, saving a lot of disk space?

I'm thinking maybe this should be called Cargo Line Germany Vol 1 instead of Cargo Line Vol 6, specially since there are bundles with all the Cargo Line DLCs and it would not really make much sense to mix UK wagons with DE ones.

Wow. For the first time ever a TSW release appeared at 10.01am. Purchased and now downloading. Should be playing after 30 minutes on my slow internet. It means l get to play before the time most new releases arrive in the Microsoft Store! Lets hope this is the norm in future from Microsoft. Happy days ahead!!

    Hi Everyone,

With the release of Cargo Line Vol.6 Gas I wanted to take the opportunity to thank a special person in the community whose involvement has aided the ability of Skyhook Games to complete its first non-British release for TSW in 3 years.

At Skyhook we've had many requests to expand the Cargo Line series beyond the UK focus on, and we began looking at other territories a while back. We sought a variety of feedback on proposals and began settling on several projects that would see the series head to Germany.

Very shortly afterwards it was bought to our attention that one of these projects had in fact already begun with a community member on these forums. Observing the high quality of production and not wishing to duplicate efforts, we approached the author and begun discussions about turning their project into an official TSW release. Much to our delight, they agreed and Cargo Line Gas was born.

    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/zags-gas-tanker.84510/

Over the course of several months, we worked closely with the author to complete the artwork, while also bringing the various other aspects of audio, setup, gameplay and localisation to the project. We've had a thoroughly excellent time working together and they've indicated a desire to work on more projects going forward.

So, we extend a big thank you to Mattia aka Ragno/rag05 for their contribution to making Cargo Line Vol.6 Gas a reality. We're excited to see more from this upcoming developer in the future. You can check out other work by them here:
    https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/an-italian-project.89827/

Finally, to all budding content developers keep up the excellent work you're doing. You never know where it might lead, but most of all, enjoy what you do. Passion and enthusiasm always shine.

At a certain point slow internet is like blaming the car company for potholes in your street.
"But this car should be so much faster!"
