Offering a different opinion is not antagonistic, this forum isn’t just an echo chamber for one train of thought.
If you can’t abide by people offering a different perspective without being wound up then you may need to look inwards not outwards

I still don’t understand why it has to be plastered in ‘GBR’ and ‘Great British Railways’ instead of just the double arrows on each end.

The only question I have over this is whether the extra couple of services on ECML will be available only on the base timetable or if we will be able to play them on the SHG timetable as well. I’m guessing it will be the base timetable only which would make them somewhat irrelevant to me personally and just another reason why DTG need to come up with a better turnkey solution to timetabling across multiple third parties

It’s literally the creators club livery on a GWR 802

it’s even still got the GWR interior here!

Perhaps all the £5's that roll in for this (both of them) are going to be invested in tidying up Creators Club so that we can actually find the liveries we are looking for. If so then that might be a good thing? (Clutching at straws here)

 

Possibly as the interior design hasn't been finalised?

Did some further digging and found out that it is the GWR interior, just the handles have been changed to blue, rather than the green seen on the Riviera Line 802.

 

I also doubt very much whether they'll change the interior on existing trains in real life. It's probably pretty accurate. Not really bothered, I still hate the livery and different colour seats aren't going to change my mind.

 

Another reason why my wallet will remain shut for this. I of course expect the usual suspects to conduct mental gymnastics to justify why a creators club livery should be payware

Wow. So is DTG gonna take down other liveries especially from companies they don't have licenses to or is something they only do when they want to sell a reskin of an existing train?

That’s disgusting. It was up there before the Livery was officially announced no or something? Someone has put hard work into that as well. Quick enough to remove liveries but it quick enough to fix bugs from day one

 

Considering there is no feedback thread yet, I will post this here. On PS5 Pro: Doing timetable run 1Z78 from Doncaster, I got blurred textures almost immediatley after the first Azuma passed me. I know the texture problem has been on ECML for ages, but it was not bad the last runs I did. This add on tips it over the edge again. I thought it was said in yesterdays Roadmap that these types of things are checked now when new releases affect other routes?

EDIT / UPDATE: After uninstalling the GBR pack, I drove an Azuma at a similar time of day with the same AI trains around me and there were no blurry textures. So it’s not just the route.

 

No surprise every route or loco DTG release seems to have issues its not on

EDIT: Same on Riviera, a service at a similar time in the Green 802 and no blurry textures.

 

Just checked the tsw facebook group and people are livid as DTG are removing any livery on any train that slightly resembles their GBR class 802. (so far hsts, class 387s and 395s)

 

I heard on the road map stream last night that positive feedback with blurry textures has been received on recent route based releases. Loco add ons can still be prone to blurry textures. I found this out for myself with the HST farewell pack. Meanwhile the Medway Valley line dlc has no blurry textures.

Disgusting to remove existing liveries on CC. Are they that much on their knees for money they fear the slightest competition to this cash grab? Or if an instruction has come from elsewhere (DfT?) then why not communicate that openly and honestly. Shameful company.

 

Not be rude but they did not have released a final fix for the blurry textures so complaining about it each time a new product will released will not bring anything. It's there and you will have it. Until DTG releases a definitive patch you should expect that.

I highly doubt that the DfT are behind the decision. It will be one of the hidden people that sit higher up in the DTG chain of command above Matt, the usual suspects that put cash above anything else.

 

Boy, oh boy. I had a feeling they would remove the GBR livery.
That’s a low blow on DTG’s behalf, since we’ve had custom liveries before mimicking in-game liveries created by DTG or third parties. Why all of sudden have they decided to do this now? Now they really want us the pay with our hard earned cash for bare bones content. They won’t be getting my money though.
I have a sweet n sour chicken with egg fried rice with my name calling me later, which comes to £8.50. That £5 is going towards that instead and not this cash grab rubbish.

I hope you enjoy your egg fried rice, however, the reason they have probably been removed due to a licensing restriction which DTG had agreed with the DFT, think about that whilst eating your stupidly expensive sweet and sour chicken.

 

Kind of a scumbag move to remove recreations of it, especially those on other trains. At that point they might as well start removing versions of real liveries on trains.

 

GBR liveries have never been allowed on CC as they aren’t on the approved list but DTG are actively taking them down now and not relying just on automatic filters.

If DfT have not given permission for their GBR name or branding to be used in CC and restrict them to specific approved releases under the terms of their licensing agreement with DTG, then DTG must take every step to avoid infringements occurring. It’s understandable considering the future situation when the GBR license will be covering much of the modern UK content released in TSW. It’s too big a deal to be allowing infringements and putting the GBR licensing in jeopardy. There are thousands of liveries on CC that are not allowed under the rules but DTG don’t police it much. They have to with this because they simply can’t put the licensing at risk.

It’s not great but it is the reality of it. CC may seem like it’s a tool for personal use but it is actually DTG publishing every livery on it so they have to be careful.

What about using other real-world brands?
The use of any other real-world brands/trademarks is not allowed. With the exception of the above all liveries created and shared in the Creators Club must be fictional and original work.

Are there any loco models that cannot be uploaded?
Yes, some locomotives are restricted from use with the Creators Club. These currently include the below list. These can be used in the Livery Designer and used locally as you would previously, but not shared.

What do I do if I spot offensive content?
If you see any offensive content on the Creators Club, you may report it in-game by clicking the "Report" button on that content. Offensive content could include, for example, images or descriptions that are racist, abusive, obscene, involve nudity, promote violence, or illegal activity.

What happens when a piece of content is reported?
As soon as a mod is reported, it will be added to a queue for review with a moderation team at Dovetail Games. All flagged content will be reviewed and appropriate action taken.

What happens when a piece of content is removed?
If a mod is removed from the Creators Club because it violates Creators Club terms or is deemed to be offensive, it will be removed. The mod will also be removed from any players that have subscribed to it. The original will be kept by the creator for personal use. Repeated attempts to upload liveries that breach the terms and conditions of the Creators Club Beta may result in your expulsion from using the tool, temporarily or permanently.

What do I do if my content is reported?
If your content is reported, one of two things will happen during the moderation team's evaluation. If approved, the content will be kept on the Creators Club. If it is rejected, the content will be withdrawn, and an icon will be added to the mod to indicate that it has been deleted. This content will still be available for your own personal use.

 

They should have offered it for free instead of shafting the community into buying a blatant cash grab, then I could be enjoying the best of both worlds.

I'm subscribed to several Northern, TPE and EMR liveries, who aren't on that list, and don't get removed.
Plus the livery sharing function in Forza has hundreds of liveries with brands and they all seem to be fine

 

Not really sure what copyright laws would exist on a livery that doesn't technically exist yet, if you kept the same design scheme but removed the GBR branding would it be ok then? It's hard to say.

 

Some companies give away content/dlc for free. Something so minuscule as this GBR livery should’ve been given to the community as a sign of good faith, since a lot of console players are still finding the game they paid for 1-2 years ago in an un-playable state (blurry textures).
