I know Was hoping with the upcoming extension there might put it on sale Guess I'll just buy it and kick myself if it's on sale tomorrow lol
If you with the extension then I would wait until its done then buy it. You never know it might go sale by then.
xbox sales are rare enough but for a third party dlc the chances are even lower. but to be honest, i think the product now is worth £24.99, let alone once we get the richmond extension
I do wonder though if DTG aren't thinking about raising the price up to "regular route price" once it's been extended
I’d pay full price. What’s the point waiting months on end for something you really want? Plus the route is getting a free extension to Richmond soon.
It's safer to just assume that you'll never see a meaningful DLC sale on XBOX - that way you won't be disappointed. In reality we do get thrown a bone once in a while, but don't hold your breath.
So is this worth picking up at full price right now, considering the extension and upcoming price increase?
It depends on your patience and your desire. If you want to play immediately, buy it now before the price increase; otherwise, if you can wait (a long time), wait for a promotion that suits you when it comes along. Personally, I'm patient and I don't mind waiting to play a route (I honestly find the DLC prices too high and always buys on sale). I bought Midlmay a year after its release when it had a 30% discount.
This was one of the routes that suffered badly with blurry textures and performance issues on X|S and I've got no idea if they were ever fully resolved, so if you're on XBOX it might be worth waiting 'til you can see exactly what you're buying before making any commitment because, well, "no refunds".!! Besides, Mildmay is still listed for TSW's 5+6 on the Microsoft store and being as how the new update won't be back-ported, Dovetail Games cannot increase prices for an expansion those versions of the game aren't going to get....so you should be able to pick up the TSW5/6 version for £25 and upgrade it for free once you know it meets expectations.
