So far I can only speak about the M8 trains and in my opinion, yes. But you have to get used to the M8 safety systems which are rather demanding ! I made about 20 timetable journeys until I finished without any penalty brake. In earlier times these DLCs had proper manuals, but today you have to figure out for yourself how everything works... I don't care much about the cosmetics or which way the panto is pointing but it was very satisfying to master that train. And I like the sound of the M8, with my buttkicker gamer my chair feels like on a real cab.
1583. At the start of the service you hear the announcements about train 1362("Train to Old Greenwich. Stops at Old Greenwich"), which is going to the Stamford yard(in the opposite direction from Old Greenwich), without stopping at platform.
Also, always forget to ask, can you remove the sungluses from ACS-64? I don't see anything at night from the cab. Is there a mod that changes glass material on this loco to transperent? Just start the service at night(not at a lit station), look at the pitch-black darkness ahead from the cab, where even the spotlight is almost invisible. Then attach a camera to the nose - you'll be amazed at the difference when, instead of pitch-black darkness, you see objects and the spotlight suddenly appears bright.
From what it looks like in the May roadmap, I don't see any mention of patches for the NY-Stamford route. I guess we will have to be patient. Hopefully it gets patched by the next roadmap or sometime mid May
In the update please adjust the times and stop making us 22mins at grand central before the job will end.
That's how the schedule works irl. There is a lot of padding. You can operate slower and still make it on time.
So what? Let us start at home and drive to work then. Because that's how it works irl. On many other routes game register the end of the service afyer you closed the doors, even if you arrived an hour early. There is something in config, that needs to be changed
I dont know anything about but its one my favourite but why is the freight limited to very low speeds.
DTG Harry hello Harry with today's patch for this can you now complete the SD40-2 journey. Because previously your train would end up off path and you could not complete it. Thanks
It isn't listed on the patch notes as a fix, so it's unlikely but I'm not 100% sure if one of the other fixes could have fixed it?
Ok thanks its so annoying you get almost to the end of the job and then you end of path and its a long job as well.
I believe someone here had mentioned the Mianus river bridge. Hopefully is much better now Changed top of the bridge at Mianus River Bridge near Cos Cob to use wooden slats material instead of ballast.
This was another one mentioned here , Resolved issue of M8 wheel cap axles not spinning when the train is moving
Since the Patch installed today I have had two crashes on the 7:27am express service with the M8 from Stamford to Grand Central on PS5 Pro. They both crashed at exact same place approaching Port Chester station. I never had any crashes before the patch.
So we had fairly big update today and couldn't be bothered to fix the two yard moves at Stamford that derail immediately after you start. And didn't fix the SD40-2 chapter last job where the train loses its path.
I spawned on foot and ran a local service a few stations and it was OK at that point, but didn’t have the time to keep driving….will try maybe tomorrow at some stage
I tried an Amtrak train just now from Stamford to NY-Penn and it was ok. So hopefully it is just one or a few services.
is ATC properly usable now, or do you still have to drive with less than enough power to compensate for the possibility of having to slam the brakes on? that’s the main thing putting me off, i don’t have the patience for a system that i understand but doesn’t work properly
Bought this addon yesterday, but already refunded. The overheadwires are a mesh, the pantograph is bouncing up and down. The wires are cutting corners like the overhead wires in early dlc's. The CSX SD40-2 is not better, dynamicbrake fans running instead of the cooling fans, the air hoses on the front are leaning in the air on an invisible snowplow, handlebar of on of the rear wipers in the cab is the wrongly attached. In overall the route looks very nice, also fun to drive with al the speedreductions, but these details like the overhead wires are something I will notice, that should deserve some more love.
So im on xbox and that job was OK no ctd but when I got grand central I had to delete 6 or 7 trains that where off path just so I could get to my platform.
