Tsw 7 - What You Want?

Two things closely related but different enough both should be in it.

1) If the current loco has another service that starts within (insert something reasonable here) minutes, let the player know and have it as another option rather then return to timetable or go free roam. Maybe a toggle in the options to auto accept so you don't go to the menu at all?

2) An option to merge all these connected services together in the menu, so you can start at the ACTUAL start and end when you put the loco back in the siding without all this messing about.

 

And if I haven't already mentioned it on a previous page, a proper scenario editor that's for everyone... where we can create more paths, as what we get with each route is pitiful.

 

True, I wanted to create a scenario on Fife Circle, but the creation were too limited and buggy, even apart from the scenarios, it's the Creator Club as a whole that's been abandoned, both the features and the site itself.

 

One path at Edinburgh Waverley. They just didn't care when making the route!

 

Really? (I’ve not opened this route up yet to have a look). I thought EDN-GLA was bad enough with only 3 paths in each direction. But just 1 path has got to be the record.

 

I honestly think everybody just wants better performance, stability and improvements to older content.
I know DTG are all about Cash and how to charge you for things, but improving old content that came out on TSW2-4 is honestly the best way to want to get people to buy that content. it doesn’t always have to be about brand-new content!

What I personally would like:

• Reworked Passengers - The AI passengers in this game can sometimes act extremely strange! you can have stations that are supposed to be pretty busy at certain times of the day feel like they are dead, whilst also having passengers still on your train when you are supposed to be out of service going to the depot. This might not bother a lot of people, but it is something that really annoys me
• Dispatch Mode - I remember we saw this on a scenario, and it was very refreshing to be able to do something different and it definitely had positive feedback! implementing this into the game so you could simply spawn into a train station and take over dispatching trains would be absolutely awesome!
  
• Improve conductor mode - Again this was a core feature added to a previous TSW version, and the idea of it is great, but I feel like it needs improvement to certain Routes! I have found on high speed services where you simply drive from A to B, once you have departed you’re starting station it will tell you to wait till the next stop even though that is actually the last stop so you are unable to check any passenger tickets!!
  
• UK Routes - Personally I only buy Modern day UK Routes, and I really like those routes where you can take a train from the depot at the start of the day, and once you finish a service you simply set up the cab at the other end and do the return part, then you can keep doing this throughout the entire day. I really like Routes like this!

I recently replaced my Gaming PC With a PS5 Pro, and generally not only have I been playing TSW6 more I was pleasantly surprised with the performance! and the bugs that are present I think are present on all platforms..

 

Following on from my previous post I would also like the ability to be able to fast forward time whilst at a train station!! this is extremely useful if you get off a service and you’re wandering around on foot but you might have 20 minutes before another service starts.

 

I want tsw 6.5 to fix the bugs lol

I really hope we finally get FOV sliders. I always have the feeling my FOV is way too small. I have seen people play with mods on PC and it looks so much better with a bigger FOV.

I wonder would a more streamlined interface be a thing for TSW7, a clean hammer a button and start driving trains front screen instead of the busy one we have at the moment?

Anything with a class 50 or 55. Two of the most popular locos in the UK and both completely ignored to this point.

Waterloo to Basingstoke or Exeter to Taunton in the 80s. Kings Cross to Peterborough in the early 80s (Valenta HSTs + Deltics).

Oh, and fix the blurry textures and all the other broken stuff, but mostly 50s or 55s (honourable mention to 91s as well).

 

After playing Clinchfield the other evening, we desperately need a more dynamic signaller/despatcher. Trains should not necessarily be forced down a predetermined fixed path which, in the case of Clinchfield, resulted in several instances of the player train being routed over the 15 MPH loop at passing places, when there was no opposing train to cross. It should be smart enough to look ahead and calculate where trains will cross (and adjust dynamically if things starts to run out of course) and route accordingly. In that respect, TSW is no further forward than MSTS in 2001 yet at or around that time Zusi 2 (the old version) was able to dynamically route trains.

For TSW7 I want a paid for update that takes the existing TSW6 into TSW7 without having to redownload my complete collection for the 7th time.

 

If you back up you .pak files mate then just copy them back over, then run a verify files, you don't have to re-download em all again

I think every player feels the same. They can do it with TSC, so release TSW7 like an update or a route addon. Seems sense to me.

 

in terms of routes, i think we’re long overdue a proper metro/underground route, i don’t mind whether it’s a US, DE, or UK one, as long as we get one that’s done properly. in terms of the actual game, i want it FIXED. this means minor and major bugs, blurry textures largely resolved, and crashing/performance upgrades

 

Metropolitan Line for me or the Piccadilly Line, providing they both go to Uxbridge.

 

I more of the American Routes although not of the Electric I AM more of the Diesel era but something that I ask is that they make an Update in the Free Roam to control several Trains if you are in a part there should exist a Teleportation reach that place put the Train Search the Map press the Train to indicate to it where it must go in that Route while you return to go to where is the Train that you are going to control without leaving behind that the Engineer puts the End of Train Device or EOT which is the Red Light that Works for when something happens with a Car Brake the Train suddenly that piece is the one that eliminated the Caboose another thing that I ask is the Saving that it can be Saved more than one game because the TSW is looking more like the Train Simulator Classic they would not have left it if they were going to do the same thing That's all I ask for so that TSW's future becomes the best of all Train Simulator.

 

I'd like more of the bugs to be addressed but I don't see that happening. More RailDriver support, if that happened I might buy more routes and the other half of the GWE route, So that would be Bristol to Didcot but they could go into Wales, Swansea, Cardiff, But I doubt they would do that either.

 

With the release of Trent Valley and the upcoming Preston to Crewe from JT, I would like to see DTG overhaul the route hopping feature.

 

The 3 things I would really like, is When you select timetable mode and to choose the walk option, the time display is the current time and not 10:00.

The weather to actually not just to always go to fog, As it seems to happen always to me.

and that dog to stop barking everywhere I go. In fact it would be nice to have some better background sounds, as to me, they seem souless,

 

I'll keep it short it needs Dynamic Routing.

 

By the way, I was thinking that all the add-ons announced so far will have to be modified with the "possible" new features of TSW 7, and therefore they might be delayed.
So there are two possible outcomes: either what happened in the spring (i.e., a rash of releases) between June and August will happen again, or TSW will remain as is this time.
The assumption (which seems certain) that TSW is firmly in the hands of third-party developers.
The abandonment of MR, could also lead us to believe that DTG is working on something else.
Ultimately, it doesn't seem to me that the current situation is exactly the same as it was a year or two ago.
Or maybe it's all just my imagination...

What i want for TSW7:

1) the BR232

2) enginerooms in all locomotives

3)more in depth simulation such as temperature simulation , oil pressure simulation, and in general more of the systems / functions of the locomotives simulated such as for example more functions / displays in the EM2000 in EMD locomotives. i want locomotives close to what vector simulations have made , or like the BR218 from TSG, or the BR294 from DTG

4) a mode where you service / repair the locos and in general faults related to mechanical and electrical malfunctions / failures

5)blurry textures completely gone

6) more complex services and scenarios , not just go from A to B (there are very few in general that offer diversity) . especially in american freight in heavy freight hauling , we could drop cars at local industries or use a local switcher to take the cars, and place them in the right tracks, and then continue the journey

 

The game to display a list of what trains layer onto which routes so I don't have to use bloody ChatGTP to find out what routes the Vectrons go onto to decide if I should buy them in the Xbox sale...

I'd like to see them finally spell "receive" correctly when you get the pop-up at the start of each run about the safety systems.

If they can do that, it would be a GOTY contender for sure...

 

I really want an option to disable certain substitutions per route, just like we're able to disable layers. I don't want see certain locos on certain routes.

 

I raised a ticket for that last year….nothing got done!
