I suggest a Class 55 Deltic preserved and one that has a mainline certified an example would be D909 Alycidon which is mainline certified the Loco DLC can Layer on These routes, Routes Great western Express ECML WCML London Euston to Milton Keynes All Aborad Studio's WCML Milton Keynes to crewe Riviera Line Exeter to Plymouth Livery British railways Green Loco must have working GSMR In cab also TPWS as it will be mainline certificate, this train is the most requested train In Train Sim World, So for Train Sim World 7 I would like to see this loco in the game. I would love to see the Deltic in TSW. This should have been the main locomotive for the ECML Railtour pack and not 47484 which has never ran in preservation
Can you imagine how bad a job Athena would have made of a Deltic though? If there’s going to be a Deltic in TSW it needs to be made by a good developer, preferably the best. We should thank our lucky stars Athena never made a Deltic.
BR Doesnt sell, one handle to rule them all, WOW PIS/GSMR/BRANDING and a general huge demand to have content which can be seen and rode on right now. Even the 37 which is arguably the most popular UK diesel type across the generations has a real small presence in the TSW world. I dont see a 55 ever coming in the near future.
It’s almost criminal we haven’t got a 37 in BR green, blue, large logo and all the various sub classes including 37/4 (with Regional Railways livery variant). Rework the sounds for maximum thrash. That would be a Day One for me. Sorry to hijack the Deltic thread, but there is an English Electric connection and all much needed in the game.
Its mind boggling how the community celebrated the Voyager but seems quite content to overlook the lack of decent BR traction. The 55s when withdrawn made the news!!

The 90s are well forgotten. The West Cornwall effort doesnt count. It has never really been a hit with Devs on any previous platform. Was still plenty of interesting stuff and liveries but seems to be no market for it.....
I'm not so sure, I think that if JT were to take a stab at it, and it was done well, it would sell well. Obviously just my opinion, of course.
Its my go to now also for model railways. Again it seems to be poorly served compared to the BR blue and green eras and the modern day stuff.... Maybe its to do with the disposable income and that folks in their 30s and 40s who remember the 90s era have...
It's a sobering thought that the first gen Sprinters etc. are now knocking on for 35 - 40 years old. But I have to say, the 90's are not hugely popular as that was the period when BR followed by the private companies fairly quickly killed off residual classic traction. The GM's were making inroads into freight haulage (though we still had the 56's and 60's). Railtrack were frantically welding up or replacing all the jointed track everywhere, so to many of us that's when the traditional railway died.
That is true, yes.. I would rather a developer like Just Trains do introduce the Deltic possibly even on an ECML route set in the very early 80s, seeing as JT love to do 80s routes, depicting the end of the Deltic's reign before being completely phased out in January 1982
I have liking for the early 90s as there was still plenty of interesting stuff knocking about and BR kept under ordering new units. In 1993 in the Summer it was still possible to travel behind 20s, 26s, 31s, 37s, 47s, HSTs and 86s and 87s and 87/2s lol. Plentt of 1st gen DMUs and EMUs also. I get that it was the beginning of the end but for me it had an indian summer feel!
If we could get the rest of the ecml in the game along with the deltic it would certainly be a day one purchase for me.
