Was thinking this would be a cool DLC, but then wondered what route it would fit on? Guess it could do - TfW Mk4 sets? - RHTT's? - TPO's? - Rescue runs on ECML P'Boro- Donny? - Royal Train?? Guess it would need a few other things before it becomes viable Anyone have any suggestions?
Whilst the Class 67 is a decent enough loco its pretty boring to most players, your more likely to see DTG produce one of the new TfW DMU over the older loco hauled sets. TPO's would place them into a certain time period, for which we don't have any routes for. Royal Train would need licensing which poses DTG an issue. Class 67 did most of their work in a time period that isn't really covered by TSW presently.
Valid points. You think a generic rake of coaches would work as a railtour pack? Or a Network Rail test train pack could work. Slap it in Derby and layer on to many routes
If the Crewe-Shrewsbury route rumours are true the 67 would be ideal for that. Certainly a day one purchase for me - highly underrated locos IMHO
Trouble is, it’s just another “ying, ying” GM as opposed to something more interesting like a Class 68 or one of the missing BR Classic collection.
True, I was just speculating/hoping on the Crewe-Shrewsbury rumour and a possible new loco that would fit that. I'd love to see a 68 too, and my lusting after a 25 is probably well documented here by now
