Mystery Stream Next Week | What's Coming?!

From the Nidder valley to Blackpool, the dangerous trend of people sitting in parked trains has become more and more disturbing. It's a mystery. Jessica Weisenheimer reports.

Because Harry said that, as part of the roadmap, routes including the Frankfurt-Fulda and Frankfurt S-Bahn lines will receive an optimisation update at the end of May, and we know from photos of the DB BR 420 TSW5 and TSW6 that it is almost complete; the BR 420 could arrive with this update.
We know from the Steam page that the Trent Valley will arrive at the end of May, but I don’t think this will be a mystery.

It'll be Trent Valley, I reckon it's going to be a release in the second week of June. Which means I'll be on holiday and won't get to try it out until July.

But, the timing of such a mystery just after SWR and Southern launch trains in GBR does leave the door ajar for a possible update to the GBR pack to include a 387. If it turns out that the GBR 802 pack is actually going to turn into a GBR branding pack for other routes DTG will certainly sell more of them.

In all seriousness either it's the tadami preview, db br 420 or the wcmlTV preview.

 

Given the lacklustre reception the GBR AT300 received, they obviously didn't read the room very well to trot out Harry's upbeat post if the "Mystery" reveal is more GBR liveried stuff. As regards BML, well I would be more interested in an "Electric Classics" pack which gave us a 4CIG (+BIG), 4VEP and maybe a 4EPB, not yet more reskins.

 

Come on old chap, you know their track record for misreading the room and joyously announcing tripe...

I agree though, the idea of old school 3rd rail "slammers" is nice though I've said years ago that even just a 319 pack would bring BML back to life... On an unrelated note, I saw a pair of Thumpers at Wigan today, very much a long way from home and I believe it's been about 40 years since any have been up this way...

 

I have just read this entire thread and gone back and read the RFTV post again and I want it to be something big, but I can't see it.

Read the post in Harry's voice and I think the tone is revealing (someone mentioned sarcasm- sorry, can't remember who). It's a bank holiday, the Trent Valley line is obviously close, they can't fully commit, but haven't had a stream in a while so need to put something out there.

It has to be Trent Valley if it actually happens...

In a different thread a user has referred to the mystery stream as the upcoming 'surprise'.

Thats how self hyped people are getting.

I'll have my popcorn out to watch all the drama unfold in Tuesday when they post the article.

I do wonder how difficult it would be to port over models from TSC, given how detailed something like the AP 411 pack is and that is a unit definitely crying out for being able to wander around it and explore in TSW. It evidently is very difficult or impossible given that we've not had any attempts so far :/

As for Tuesday, well I am currently scheduled to be flying all day and not getting back home till seven so will be able to thumb through the comments on the commute home

The general consensus is, it’s a bit too early for that and would be more of an event - i.e. Dovetail Direct.

 

For sure you can save you're money for that. It will not come. First at all 90% of the users are not interested in this ages and to obtain reference information is nearly impossible. You need some good 3D starting images to create a train and due to missing trains it's nearly impossible to create that in game. You can save endlessly I think it will not/never come.

Looks great but that’s nothing to do with TSW.

 

Saw these at Preston yesterday where they were swapping the lead units round due to one getting overheated. Never seen one before in my life, so was very pleased about it. What a great sound they make too!

 

As I pointed out earlier in the thread, maybe DTG have seen the light and will be playing this live for us, while apologising that TSW looks like a cartoon in comparison!

 

As soon as I saw the words 'mystery' I knew that second what the soap opera like reaction would be in a thread like this. Almost popcorn worthy.

 

The reveal of the long awaited GE P42DC and GE P32AC-DM locomotive. I am so happy to finally see it after, jk. Who knows what is going to be revealed but I hope it is something that has been requested for a long time.

 

The Class 104 and TT for PF has been brought back from the dead complete with zombie passengers.

 

I wonder if this is going to be a pre-recorded video by the team. One of those videos with funky background tunes with a bunch of “this is coming soon”.
I know we normally get one of those videos for the launch of a new TSW game.
Maybe the production and advertising budget has increased somewhat.

 

Possibly confirm on the stream, a release date for next Tuesday maybe!

 

I respect all the theories presented here and the hype, which is truly contagious (even on my part with GP60M)
but realistically, it will be the trent valley preview stream and the release will be next tuesday or thursday

 

Im impressed also by all the things that users like to see but indeed there is a serious change that it will be the Trent Valley preview. Only the portion of "suprise" is a bit strange. They want to prevent disappointment when it's postponed so that is the issue I guess.
