Where is the dislike button?! Sorry but they have cancelled a few streams now so its very fair that people asking whats happening right? You're approach is a little silly...

the fact that the page has existed on steam since the 11th raises this suspicion, doesn't it?
of course, nothing confirms this, it's all theorizing and speculation

We often wonder why DTG staff have decided to take a step back from the forum... Theres room for criticism where it's necessary. But the amateur dramatics on this thread alone, answers that question!

I don't use Discord, but does the same amount of hand bags at dawn go on there?

Not just that, if you have the 805 they have removed quite a bit from that too.

I never had any major issues with Crewe-Brum nor West Coast South but now I'm missing out, cheers DTG.

Not going to be a good selling point for Trent Valley at this rate, "Yes you can have the route but if you want to use the 805, 807 or Pendolino you can only do so on a couple of services, sorry" followed by "oh yeah and we removed the static AI so the stations are totally dead too". Anyone got that South Park BP "Sorry" meme to hand?

 

From what I've seen lately, the conversation on Discord is more relaxed, and the DTG team participates much more in discussions than here. Of course, there are still some questions, but it's clear that it's more civilized than here.

Besides being easier to interact, it's probably because of the curt responses on this forum that the DTG team is communicating very little here, only providing basic information to avoid conflicts...

they might as well just leak what this MYSTERY stream is all about.

 

See I beg to differ, if they were here more often they could deal with a lot of issues before they get out of control. Just look at this thread for example, one of them could have stepped in days ago to quell some of the speculation and latterly dispel rumours but instead they are nowhere to be found and thus the echochamber of speculation kicks into high gear.

Without wanting to sound nasty I do actually wonder what the role of the community team actually is? It's a paid role so surely they are expected to do more than a typical volunteer who mods a forum in their spare time, so what are they doing?

 

I'm revising my decision to stay away from Discord as the hysteria on here is getting beyond parody.

It seems some are deliberately trying to accelerate the demise of the forums. Yet still complain about lack of interaction.

I’ve been asking the very same thing for months now although be very careful what you say on the Forum…as I got shut down by a CM not long ago for questioning the CM’s roles! It appears they don’t like to be questioned. You’ve been warned!

Four pages is a lot to ask, it's good to have a "previously on" every now and again.

 

Some of them have very large egos
And hell some would get annoyed at you for debating people on the discord

 

Even private discord servers among """""friends""""" were awful, I can only imagine a public one being hell on earth...

I can certainly understand the frustration, we were told last week that there was going to be a "mystery" stream, then the day before, DTG announced it's cancellation and apart from advising it was a hot week (undeniably true in the UK), nothing more has bene forthcoming - i'm as patient as it's possible to be, but it's not unreasonable to wonder what is going on.

Fair, I only prefer it because it doesn’t delete what I was writing if the app/ site crashes or freezes unlike the forums but that’s only a issue if you write a lot

Maybe it's time for independent moderation. I'd be interested in assisting but just like Jack Whitehall would insist on a contract clause that forbids me from working when Arsenal are playing.

It's not just static and AI stuff that has been removed, they have removed player controlled services.

 

It looks like they cannot even commit for next week. Its friday afternoon and the next weeks RFTV thread is missing in action. The community managers went back to their cold burrows after dealing with yesterdays mega patch which itself wasnt without its controversies.

I think DTG is too confident they got us customers hooked, too bad the world economy says otherwise and the first things to be cut from expenses are going to be questionable quality entertainment products that seem to have a quite uncertain future. Since I dont buy into lootboxes and other gambling related gaming goods, TSW DLC are on the frontline of being cut from my personal purchases list.

When they needed us to survive COVIDs economic effects, they could stream weekly, and deliver a semblance of quality over the shambles that is happening right now. With a much smaller team. Now they got the money and the management guys are running away with whatever profits are coming in, we are left with the trash the leftover money lets them produce.
