This route has always been one of my favourites for several reasons, namely because of the incredible timetable, variety of services (both duration and type), rolling stock (such as the epic 218!) and finally a very busy Hamburg Hbf (and now Lubeck Hbf too with all the 628 AI traffic etc). But, overall, one main thing that still frustrates is the older TOD 3 lighting. Pretty much like Koln-Aachen, the timetable is perfect, although it really just needs updating to TOD 4 for it to be complete. Thank you!
nope, and it’s unlikely it ever will be. a tod4 update really ought to have come with the 218 a couple of years ago but that opportunity was missed and now the route lies in the dustbin. real shame, because it was a great route for its time but like many others it’s become inferior and unenjoyable
Imo it has never been a great route. The release was pretty bad back then. The 112 had lots of bugs (and I think it still isn't exactly perfect). The route got a lot better first with Joes new timetable, then with the addition of the 218. But without TOD4 (and some AI trains that are missing a lot), the route is still mid at its best.
Yes another forgotten route in the wake of constant DLC releases. I quite enjoy the odd run along there (better than Bremen to Oldenburg IMHO) but really should have continued to Puttgarden for the train ferry or at least Travemunde.
