Competition Theme: Springtime Prizes and Winners For the contest, there will be 2 winners; all winners will receive a feature on the Loading Screens for 2 weeks, a feature in the Roadmap for that Month, plus a feature on social channels. They will also be rewarded with a TSW6-supported add-on key of their choice. Keys will be delivered via DM from the official Dovetail Staff once the competition is closed The last entries are on the 31st May 2026, with winners announced shortly after this. Competition Rules: Rules Update : Please only send one entry per theme, and make sure your screenshots haven't been edited to keep it fair to other competitors. Limit is 1 screenshot per person Include in your post the route the screenshot was taken on as well as the name of the train (if applicable). Screenshots must be in a 16:9 resolution, at least 1920x1080 pixels, even better if it’s 4K! Screenshots may be taken on Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X & S ,Steam or Epic. Submissions must fit the theme of the month, as stated at the beginning of this post. Other Rules: Official content only. Please make sure anything that is not available on the Steam Store or Dovetail Store is not shown in the screenshot. - This means no community mods. No entries to include vehicles using Livery Designer. Due to licencing limitations, we are unable to use these images. Your entry may be disqualified if it is deemed to not follow these rules. Please limit chat to only when absolutely necessary. Setting up the shot If you are playing on Steam the keys “2” or “3” will offer a selection of pre-set external views, or you can use “8” to get a free camera with more control. If you are playing on console pressing the right joystick will give you a free external camera. Console players can change the camera angle moving the two joysticks, and on Steam the direction keys and mouse will achieve the same results. Taking A Railfan Shot Make sure “Hide the UI” is on in settings, then... Xbox One – Hold the X button. PlayStation – Hold the Square button. What are the standards that you use to determine winners? One of these shots don't even feel like spring and there are a lot better choices than that.
In the end it's all up to personal taste. I think those are good choices, congratulations to the winners
If it's personal taste then they need to hold it to a vote so everyone can have a say based on their "personal tastes". This isn't the first time they've picked winners that don't even have to do with the theme they picked and it probably won't be the last.
As long as the pictures look good and give me something pleasing to look at during loading times, the theme is secondary to me But I agree, a public poll would be a nice thing to have! Could be difficult to put all the pictures from here and Discord into one basket for a fair poll though. Or would having two polls be better? One here, and one on Discord? I dunno... just throwing ideas against the wall here
