disappointed but not surprised that the 90 has missed the third update since its release and with still no word on if and when we should expect some kind of communication about the plan, let alone fixes. as far as i’m concerned this project is dead and buried

Only possible solution they rebuilding it again from start hence the delay or overwrited correct build by mistake with an old version of this build by saving it on top of it and couldn’t get it back. Something deffo happened along the lines

DTG Quality control (if there is even one), really needs to sort themselves out releasing broken dlc to consumers as is ATS fault for releasing the dlc for distribution. Who is seriously checking this stuff and making sure its even working, its pathetic.

DTG should be the oversight but half the time it seems whoever is doing the QA does little more than rubber stamp it through to the preview stream, where we get the silly headphones, high fives and look how good it is - because money is now all that seem to matter for this company.

Definitely concerning that the 377/3 AWS can't be reset on controller PS5 and , neither can the 90. Neither have been fixed.

Alan aluded to a passenger version coming, what's the bet that this passenger 90 or maybe 91 is a required DLC for something TSW7 and the focus is on that before fixing the (soon to be history) bugs of a broken TSW6 DLC

You mean something like "ECML York-Edinburgh comes with Hitachi rubbish, Class 91 sold separately" Yeah I could see that, in theory DTG should have the sense to know that it wouldn't go down well but here we are...

exactly this... Class 80X, most likely 800, and the "deluxe edition class 91 DVT combo that EVERYONE wants"
and just like the sound set fixes for the Class 170 coming with "this new DLC" no wait "this new DLC" no hang on, its "this new DLC" i wouldnt be surprised at all if the Class 90 is going to be a victim of "Class 91 will feature updates to the Class 90 at launch(tm)"

Unfortunately like everything else in this f--ked up world we live in, nothing will change till there forced to change, so we come down to a few options DTG somehow manage to fix there Q&A department, we suddenly get an influx of other train sims and that forces DTG to do better or the final unlikely option is everyone just stops buying there stuff.

That last one wont ever be an option as long as there are developers like Just Trains, Firefly and (imo) AABS. Dovetail can use those quality products as cover for their really f--ked up low quality ones. how many people have been drooling for Preston to Crewe since it was announced, im not even a big BR era fan an i am.....

Running train is out now, but that like that other sim game in europe is too narrow a field i think to be widely appealable to everyone who plays TSW so thats very unlikely

Dovetail are the only real game in town and they know it, theve gotten themselves established with a solidly large back catalouge of DLC and i think the best possible outcome would be third party TSW developers just saying screw you to DTG and doing their own train game

I mean I just picked up Running Train and that was the most enjoyable train sim I have ever played, and that's only just came out and in early access!
Plus its been made by 1 dude with Unreal 5

The problem with both Running Train and SimRail is there both kinda locked to their regions, and one thing train enthusiasts are mostly locked to is trains from there country or region, if they change that i would be interested, but as it stands i personaly have no interest in other countries trains.

Reading the bottom paragraph of Jan’s statement…

So no updates for the class 90, just planning and preparation. ATS have had all this time to be working on a fix, and this is where they're are at? The planning stage :o
What have they been doing the past two months?

Surely the ‘fix’ is just releasing the correct version though? Or does DTG/ATS now finally accept that it was not really a ‘wrong build released’ issue?

“He who must not be named” shouldn’t be doing the admin here for ATS.

Find it strange that ATS aren’t the one’s releasing this statement. Show us you care :(
They have more important matters to attend to I guess.

Unfortunately of course the ATS FB Group is private so not open to non members, even read only. I was a member for a while but either got kicked out or jumped off the cliff (can't recall which) after comments I made about their e-commerce policies for TSC. Not really inclined to rejoin...

Before your game of chinese whispers gets out of hand, it was Jan not Jane, as in an update from Jan, the DTG community manager.

So Jane or Janet works for ATS or AABS, gotcha!

I knew Janet was familiar, I remember seeing her name on the bulletin for employee of the month.

Isn't Jane a misspelling for Jan who posted the announcement?

Yes, as was pointed out 5 posts above yours. And the person who misspelled it has corrected their post.

    Hey Vern,
I'm the only third-party one, and Community Managers don't handle posting more than "Hi y'all, it's out." After that, we just send the critiques and complaints to the various studios in charge of stuff and post updates. I haven't been on the Forums in about a week or so because most of my time has been spent handling issues on Discord that are a lot more intense than "stop attacking each other". I've also been writing up some notes on a few of the main issues various lines face, but I'm part-time too.

Our CMs are Alex, Harry, Jan, Jamie, and me. JD handles all the management stuff, so he can sometimes pop in and help with other stuff or pop in for a stream here and there, but mostly works with higher-level stuff. Jan and Alex were out most of the past 2 weeks, so Harry, Jamie, and I have been handling all of social media, Discord, Reddit, and Forums solo. Harry is mostly handling social media, so basically it was Jamie and I trying to do all the other community tasks we do while Harry handled posting and creating posts.

Shortened version: Yeah, we've been quiet, but we've also been doing a ton without saying much and keeping an eye on stuff; otherwise, y'all have been awesome, and we haven't needed to intervene too much. I apologize, I haven't put my usual "noted, thanks for the feedback" on the threads, I just kept getting pulled away for other IMMEDIATE situations.

OHHH, weird, seems like you have a spam block on your account, let me see if its that or the age of your account.

Edit: Just checked, there's no reason you should not be able to post links. I'd just say make sure you use the link button? We're not doing it, and it's not automoderating you or anything.

Yes and who drove it in the preview stream and did his utmost to sell it?
Thank goodness for Running Trains, I just hope that game goes a lot further.

No, y'all have just been on your best behavior lately. We had a couple of bad eggs sneak into some other areas, and that was not a fun time. I can't say what some of the issues were, but it was a lot more than "please don't say that".

Amen to that! Seems we (as in the forum) are the quintessential voice of reason. I don't know why DTG insist on persisting with Discord.

Going off other Train Sim related servers (i.e. Train Sim Community), this forum is heavily disliked for the amount of moaning that happens on a frequent basis... which I think is fair to say lol.

That’s being generous. I’d argue we’re the turds. We kick up a stink when we’re not happy. DTG are the bleach trying to kill the germs (deceiving us with fake promises).

The answer is yes, the question we all are asking is when, and the answer to that is somewhere between now and the heat death of the known universe.

DTG and Rivet did a similar thing with the Scotrail class 170 and the WMT/XC 170 and ECW 171 - i always have a small hope that each new time will be different from the last but a pattern is a pattern is a pattern

This dlc and failed attempt to build a cl.90 is a total joke.

This thread should be full of excitement about finally having a stock what some tsw players waited since 2017!, instead i read 5 pages full of annoyance. Well done ATS.

A locomotive like the legendary cl.90 for tsw, deservese a competent dev willing to go the extra mile. I hope this dlc gets deleted from the store and JT takes over with their quality standard.
