Why on earth did this need its own topic, instead of posting into the bigger thread for this route? This place is getting messier and messier because everyone thinks their point is so important it needs its own topic. Moderators really need to step up and brutally combine threads. The amount of route info that gets spread over multiple threads means it's getting nigh on impossible to keep track of info and changes.
Super shady! They should have posted an updated blog with a correction noting they were removed for performance reasons. Come on ya'll!
arent the railtours being placed back into the timetbale as per that announcment post from DTG Jan? does this mean they ARENT going back into the timetable then? or why remove them at all from the dev blog as it wouldnt matter if theyre back?
The steam loco rail tours haven't even been removed from the route, and the 86 and 87 are coming back in a few days (apparently). Headlines get headlines. Nigh on impossible to track is a self reflection at best.
That is certainly a weird decision? Especially now railtours are being re-added? Not sure what to make of that
Probably a temporary legal / consumer rights thing. Anyone who buys the route today will not have the AC electric railtours, so keeping them in the description is effectively false advertising. I'm also baffled as to why this OP thought this needed its own thread... There are already three or four threads on the topic of this route, the content reductions, optimisations for consoles, and the effects it might have on Trent Valley.
And they will tell me AAS control whats on their website, I think this is better than doing that but ta.
I don't know, but if I cared enough about the Class 90 I would have no trouble making a new thread every day with the title "It has been X days since the Class 90 patch was promised". So me and them have very different ideas of what a forum is.
Not so much moderator as just trying to get people to use common sense. There are already multiple threads about this route, I would love to know why a screenshot from its dev blog warrants a whole new thread.
How many threads are there and how many posts have you made complaining about multiple threads. You are up to 4 just here. Lets go with "noticing a future gaslighting setup" thread. If you find anything similar please don't hesitate to contribute to this thread. Or make your own if you feel it's important enough, because that's what a forum is.
given how often things get buried in a "catch all" thread, i can understand making a new one to draw attention to a specific issue or thing. while it might be strange to you it clearly isnt to others. and OP clearly felt it was deserving of having eyes on it without other distractions.
its almost 55 i think now isnt it. but we have an update coming soon to tell us all about the update that will be coming soon, sprinkled with a little "coming next from ATS" for good measure - dont forget to upgrade to TSW7 to take advantage of the updates to the class 90 because they sure as F--K wont be coming to TSW6
on a serious note, its not completely out of the question for this to happen. the SR 158 ended up being not the TSW version it was originally promised in, the GWE remaster likewise ended up being a different version of TSW. there were some fixes to the gangway doors of the 377's that i belive was across 3 and 4 and you needed to move to TSW4 to have the patched version of BML. im sure there are other like situations im forgetting too
am i not allowed to be displeased at the state of the Class 90 and how it has been handled? point me to where i was out of line, please.
I never said that, as you very well know. Hyperbolic false claims hardly enhance your argument. Then again I haven't bought the 90 yet so I am quite happy.
Po-tay-to, po-tah-to. said or implied, i have purchased it and my platform of choice has declined the refund. if i choose to use some hyperbole in my displeasure, thats realy besides the point. the point being, its almost two whole months since the release of the Class 90 and we still have no patch or fix in sight. Sure, i could pretend like DTG always do everything they say they will, when they say they will. and likewise i could pretend that ATS always does what he says - but why kid myself. and if someone reads my comment and truely thinks the forums are done for, i cant really do much for them. Alan Thomson - by the Emperors grace, FIX YOUR CLASS 90 ALREADY!!!!!
would you bet against it? Given what we’ve seen in years past? DTG will keep this forum open as long as it continues to generate interactions and more revenue than it costs them to maintain. Until such day happens these forums will remain, and Candace said herself today that the forums actually need less moderation than discord.
no way.. for real, discord was worse than the forums? i thought "we" were supposed to be the worst part of the TSW community. i did hear the class 90 thread on discord was closed/locked so maybe the youth are out in their shenanigans
It might need less moderation but there is a reason DTG staff don't visit here, Matt for one, who used to interact on here and help people out.. t's likely a lot less busy than Discord. Lots of posters have disappeared from here, ones that were regular contributors. I'm finding the desire to come here less and less as it's not the place it was a couple of years ago.
Well I would say the point is, why did you buy it when there was plenty of information about it. All hyperbole does is muddy a point of view and in my experience is likely to cause those who might need to take notice of it, to ignore it.
Just to respond, I believe the intention here from the AABS team will be ensuring that anyone who reads their old article gets an accruate description of the add-on they are purchasing, given the news of some services and railtours being removed from the timetable that we shared in our update notes last week (View this on the link below). https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-6-update-notes-may-28th-2026.98127/ Since this post, AABS have commented that they're planned on re-introducing the Railtours they removed, however this is planned to arrive in a core update later this month, and so the above changes are a good reflection of the add-on today, but in reality the only change that will be present from that list beyond this following update will be: - Removals of 3x Static layers (One for 86/87 and a rake of mk3 coaches at the Crewe Diesel Depot, and two for filling out bassdord hallyard). This change was part of optimisation work across all timetables. I hope that helps explain the changes you'll see - I think from the AABS team, it's important to ensure people understand what they're purchasing, and I'd expect them to update the list with the re-added railtours following their update soon. Thank you!
