The Harrogate loop is a line in west Yorkshire connecting the big cities of York and Leeds with a very scenic line, it's 39 miles long and would provide diesel motive power from Northern's fleet to appear in game. The line features 14 stations and besides Leeds, all having unique architecture looking back to times now gone. The one piece of the architecture that stands out the most is the viaduct almost immediately southwest of Knaresborough. The surrounding terrain with the viaduct buildings an amazing scene that would really challenge a dev's skills to recreate. You also have the architecture at Knaresborough station, at York station, and other places. I'll give motive power options for two time periods post the year 2000. 2025: - Northern Class 170 - Northern Class 150/2 - Northern Class 158 - Ex Scotrail Northern Class 158 2015: - Northern Class 142, 143, 144 - Northern Class 150/2 - Northern Class 158 I'm not asking for all of those from both lists, just at least 2 from 1 of the lists Given that this route is about the scenery and architecture, I think, because of the success of their Medway Valley Line, the next route from Firefly Simulations.
I always thought this would be a great half of a double Leeds to York route. Including the Church Fenton / Gatforth line too would give some express runs between the two cities, as well as creating a full circle. Leeds would be buzzing with action!
We need more routes based in Leeds, would be good to see it in the 2016s with all the sprinters running.
