No, I haven't purchased it because xbox reviews average below 2.5/5 due to OOM issues and fuzzy textures. Same headcode operation from Crewe to Euston is highly desired though.

 

Well then you won't see the 807 as that's what timetable it's on.

 

Pretty sure the original WCMLs timetable is before the Evero's were even a thing, also

 

805/807 have been operating since 2024. The Trent timetable I believe is November 2025. Therefore the 805/807 are representative. Had the summer 2024 timetable been used you could have had them alongside a handful of Avanti 221s.

 

the 807 only layers into evero timetables so you’ll need them if you want the 807 in timetable mode, otherwise free roam is the way to go

 

i’m close to picking this up on xbox series x, should i expect significant blurring and crashing? it seems disabling the 805 layer will help, how are other xsx players finding it?

 

Im on xbox had few blurry parts and no ctd. I did disable some layers tho.

 

Does this mean if you have the Class 805 DLC you can select the Class 807 in timetable mode on WCML South?

 

yes, but it’s only available on the wcmls evero timetable

 

Very nice route on the XSX 2TB. I uninstalled pretty much all non-UK routes now and hope to do Euston-Liverpool through run even if that requires going back 68years once at Crewe .

 

Hopefully now MK to Crewe is released the interaction of the Class 805 regarding memory can be optimised. I don't see why it destabilises things in a way the Class 807 does not. Looking forward to the updates next week.

 

Hi Jamie, all 35 layers in the full timetable. Don’t have any custom liveries in TSW6.

The route is great BTW. Just annoying when you get the blurry textures still playable on other services I’ve done.

 

i've got most layers on except the 805 (because i don't have it) and it's fine so far, but i'm only about halfway through my first run

 

It happens when you start on foot
Start at Milton Keynes at 10:30 wait for the 805 to arrive on platform 6 wait for the doors to open then the game crashes

 

807 when the pantograph fails, there is no warning to tell you. You just lose power.

No blurred textures yet. Good AI traffic so far but lowest passenger numbers I've ever played. Nobody around, even on trains

 

still no speed set for me. i know others have managed to get the screen to work for them but it's just not happening on mine (xbox series x).

 

If you can use a wireless keyboard it would make so much easier for and still use the controller majority of the controls.

 

i’ve got it working fine on xbox series x using controller. the key is to avoid tapping the buttons, it’s more of a press to make it work

 

Just done a Crewe to Milton Keynes run a 390 and this time no blurry textures noticed

 

which platform, and what layers did you have disabled?

 

Should where it says 11:42 here not be 2nd, 3rd etc and the time be the section next to it. Similar to the 1st row?

 

All layers which are available I got, and nothing disabled, the same before with the 807 from Milton Keynes to Crewe and I had blurry textures 33 miles away from Crewe. Returning back from Crewe to Milton Keynes in a 390 no blurry textures. I will give it another run later and see if that appear again

 

others must have the magic touch then. tried taps, presses, holds on the speed indicator on the screen but nothing happening for me

 

What screen are you trying it on.

Seeing light grey triangles on the OHLE uprights that disappear about 100m infront of the train.

 

I'm playing at 4K with everything on, it appears that the final LOD for one particular type of masts transitions very late.

 

MU speeds are missing on the Crewe-Stafford section, warning for the 75mph at Queensville on the Up fast appears to be missing, some texture blurring in and out around Stafford/Rugeley. Running okay on PS5, not bad entirely.

Can anyone confirm when the route was set? Don’t think Basford Hall box should be there…

 

Strange numbering on this Class 170 at Nuneaton. I'm not sure if this a CC livery at fault?

 

Why was the 805 button issue not fixed in time for this release?

 

Took a chance with this one. Just finished the 1F12 in the 390 on a series x and encountered nothing game breaking for me at least. Did not have any blurry textures at any point. Ran it on the full timetable but I only had 21 layers activated. Still encountered a fair amount of AI traffic. Now I don’t keep every route installed only 28 currently. I’d also like to note besides TSW I only have two other games installed on the console.

So far I have only tested the 1F16 service with Class 807 in various timetable modes, weather always static, custom, 50% clouds

1) Reduced timetable (journey mode - uses reduced timetable) - complete all currently available layers No blurred textures, but the game crashed when passing Stafford. I have not tried this mode again yet

2) Full timetable, only added Class 390, Evero 805, Class 220, Pack Class 170, Cardiff Tfw150+153, Glossop (323), EMK Class 350/1 + Class 66 DB
After about 50 miles of driving from Mielton towards Crewe, the blurring became even more massive, both the external texture and the cockpit labels. With minor changes, the blurring lasted all the way to Crewe

3) Full timetable, only added Class 390, Evero 805, AABS 350/2 + 350/3, EMK Class 350/1 + Class 66 DB (I tried to approximate the operation as in the reduced timetable as much as possible. I found out that compared to the reduced timetable, there are more Class 390 trains in operation, plus probably only AI-controlled trains)
The entire route is practically free of blurred textures, only just before Crewe the outer texture was slightly blurred, but only in zoom mode, which usually signals that it is at the limit and adding anything else would blur it again.

In conclusion, I must say that the exterior textures of the Class 807 are just as ugly as those of the 805, especially in the cabin area. The 805 still has a problem with some of the buttons in the cabin (black squares), which is probably a result of the last update.

 

I have seen that too, not just on tvl but on every crosscountry class 170 since a couple of days ago.

 

Basford Hall went in January 2025 I believe and I’ve read somewhere the route was set in November 2025.

Here's my feedback on PC/Steam:
I've only done one run from Milton Keynes to Nuneaton so far (1H10).
There have apparently been lots of optimisations on the route, and this one at Milton Keynes is particularly obvious, but I haven't seen anything else this obvious so far:

I think the performance of the route is quite good. I was getting between 50-60fps for a large portion of the run, with some drops to around 40fps around Rugby. There was also some stuttering, but that is probably due to shader compilation on my first run. This is with an Nvidia 3060 @ 1080p. The tree popping in was not the best I've seen, but not the worst either.

Outside of performance:

• the M1 motorway is present, but the overhead gantries aren't modelled which makes it harder to see.
• You spawn in at a random location when starting a Milton Keynes to Nuneaton run, at least this is the case for 1H10 and 1H13. I think it might be due to the fact that it's a "fake" stop, although other services that have a fake stop at Milton Keynes don't have this problem.
• You only get a 30 seconds setup time when it's a fake stop, but that's probably not a problem for most players.
• To finish on a positive note, from the ambassador streams it seems a lot of approach hold signals are setup correctly, although not everywhere (like Rugby).

My first run was in the 807, 1F30 1715 (1643 Euston) Milton Keynes to Liverpool.

Platform: Steam / PC

Scenery was brilliant, so much variety, I don’t think there’s a part of the WCML I don’t like, I always love the Colwich/Shugborough area in real life and it’s nice to pick up where All Aboard left off.

Where it differs from WCML South and Birmingham to Crewe, is there’s a behind sense of speed.

My only issues and this is the first time I’ve come across something immersion breaking in TSW for a while, I had spurious TPWS activation near Lichfield, definitely wasn’t speeding, I was doing 106 mph and speed limit was 110 after resetting (after a while) I got going again. Now it be user error, I won’t completely discount it, but i’m 99.9% certain it wasn’t, so I was a little disappointed by that. It spoilt a good run.

I’d have to look at the sectional appendix but there’s one or two places where the MU speeds didn’t seem accurate?

Also as mentioned the LOD for the OHL masts, once I noticed it, I couldn’t unsee it!

Well worth the price and a brilliant long run, hats off to All Aboard Studios.

390 Pendo service speed was 106mph at the point of derailment.
PC steam no mods.

 

So I ran a 350 service all the way. On PS5 I did get blurry buttons in the cab view (for example wipers/max speed sign above the window) for the last 50% of the run, (crewe to Milton) but actually the run was fine and enjoyable. The “critical” need to view things in the driver view were not blurry, and the run was quite fun. It’s the first service I’ve done; but honestly I’m pretty happy with the purchase. Note that I ran on the full timetable with every layer on, and not a ps5 pro, just regular PS5. If it matters the only game I have installed is TSW, and have every route but German (which I own but didn’t download as I don’t run them much after updating to TSW6).

if certain not needed instruments are blurry I get it that’s a problem, but for me, I had an enjoyable first run and expect to run many more. Just a regular drivers opinion!

 

Posted already in the discussion thread but had a CTD on Xbox Series X (full timetable, all layers on, dynamic weather off) on the northbound 7:11 390 service as I arrived in Crewe.

Also then had an instant CTD before the map had loaded on a southbound 807 service starting at Crewe - not sure what time it was, but mid-morning and it was a non stop Crewe to MK one.

 

Ver nice route! Question, why does the the class 807 speedcontrol go's back to zero after changing to the outside view and back in the cab?
