That’s really strange. It seems like it affects everyone randomly. I’m actually hoping I get a crash now so I’m not just a special case ;)
Can I ask what routes you or your friend played? Maybe certain routes are less prone to crashing then others?

Edit: All the Trent Valley dev blogs have disappeared from the AAS site, this was more difficult to find than it should have been.

Thanks, this is it! do we have any explanation on the apparently absent services between London and Blackpool with the 807?

Standing by what I said in my review, as per your previous post to the quote above, I think it’s worth considering at £32.99, only if you’re able to experience the full experience. Too expensive imo for only the reduced experience. Was very disappointed to find out that the journey mode uses the reduced timetable.

Meh seems like a ton of issues at launch for this one. Gonna wait for at least a patch and maybe until the Class 70 releases before buying.

I'll tell ya'll, the longer I go without buying anything for TSW, the easier it gets.

I think they made a mistake mentioning Blackpool services because looking at the November 2025 Avanti timetable there were 2 trains a day from Euston to Blackpool and they both ran fast from Euston to Crewe.

Great route, worth the money to me on PC as it is my local route, only bad thing to say is that Wolverton has had no stopping services on Platforms 1 & 2 for at least 15 years now, both platforms are blocked off and not used for passengers.

What time are they showing services calling? If they’re very late or very early then they might be Fast Line diversions due to overnight engineering works.

Putting aside the blurry textures which are clearly here to stay, I can’t emphasise enough how nice is it to actually go somewhere in TSW. I cannot stand just doing small bits of services, going from nowhere to nowhere. But London - Crewe is a nice long run and it feels like you’ve accomplished something, even if the services do carry on a little further.

    Really nice to see.

I’m new ish to PC (this calendar year) and even newer to god mode but wanted to ask if there there is something I’m missing as to why it isn’t working with this route? The last new route I bought was Medway Valley and I’m pretty sure it was the same for that too. Hopefully it’s something small that I’ve missed, or a thing with new routes and god mode. It’s no bid deal either way

I’ve done one run so far from MK to Crewe and it was excellent. Nothing out of the ordinary to report on my end currently thankfully. I’m about to head back, then on to Euston so fingers crossed it’s the same.

Just done a Crewe to MK then jumped to WCML:S to continue the same service to Euston. Very nice to get a really long full speed run in the Pendo. The services are very long though (1hr 45 for 350 full length), so we could really do with the save game feature being properly sorted out. With this and the upcoming JT route as well, the route hopping function could do with a bit of improvement, even if it is just from the menu screen you get sent to after completing a run, have a "route hop" or "continue journey" option, select the route, select the timetable, select the service.

https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/tsw-6-enhancement-lighting-graphic-ep-v6-1.84738/page-28 Look at the newest post there. The reason is God Mode needs updating for new routes and it has been in some "dead but not dead" state for almost a year now.

I agree that the route is interesting, the length enhances the experience, but the blurring on the full timetable, even if you don't have all the addons active, is quite tiring and annoying. After the celebratory stream that everything will be bathed in sunlight on consoles, I've lost all illusions. And since I predicted last week that it would be blurry, I'm not that surprised. As soon as I saw the reduced timetable and carefully talked around, it was almost clear that the reduced timetable would be the optimized route. But this only shows the state of affairs, that a large optimization or suppression of this phenomenon is probably not entirely realistic

But as I say, it's a nice route and certainly a more noticeable improvement compared to Birmingham - Crewe.

Could not agree more. And, speaking for myself (although I’m confident others will feel the same), taking the 390 out on a non stop run for over an hour felt incredible. Felt like a dream doing just that.

I’ve said before (whilst providing not so positive but justified feedback of Birmingham Crewe) that I love what All Aboard Studios are trying to do and desperately want them to succeed. What they are offering appeals to me so much and I really hope this one is a winner, and they follow it up with something equally ambitious. Early signs are good here.

    EDIT:

For clarity I’m running the full timetable with a Radeon 6700xt 12GB with fps capped at 50

Further to this, continued my run this evening with no further blurry textures and all was going well… until an Out Of Memory and CTD as I arrived at Crewe. Sigh.

I think that must refer to collectibles at the Daventry (which is actually nowhere near the town of the same name) freight terminal!

And now an instant CTD upon loading up a southbound Crewe to MK service in the 807. My good will is rapidly dissipating.

ahh ok, thanks for the explanation! little annoying there are no end-to-end runs in the 807 which stop at any intermediate stations but I also prefer having realistic timetables so no blame on AABS outside of a slightly misleading article

Okay, taken the plunge and bought it. If Steam finishes downloading before bedtime will probably ignore the Journey anf fire up a 390 from MKC to Crewe.

Edit: Well so far, it... rocks! Going through those reverse curves north of Roade towards Kilsby totally hellfire and very zen. Running in 4K on my GTX 1650 and getting +- 20 FPS which I'm happy with. Hopefully squeeze a few more once the shaders have built.

So seems my pessimism/scepticism was unfounded. My only constructive criticism based on this fairly short bit so far is do they really have to replicate Network Rail's linear forest quite so meticulously. Leave some gaps so we can see the scenery and (maybe) improve performance a bit.

It was noted on TrainsimTV that the catenary wires do not zig-zag per the prototype (for even wear on pantographs). Not a showstopper but hard to unsee once you notice. Apart from that, Tom was very happy with the route.

Just completed a full run in a 350/4 1U23 on the full timetable with freight layers disabled, and it honestly exceeded expectations.

Some blur started to appear around Nuneaton (roughly 46 miles in), but it wasn’t too bad. It mainly affected the smaller text on the train control buttons, while the larger text stayed sharp (see attached image).

Platform visuals were a bit blurred but signage remained clear, and most of the scenery held up well for the duration of the journey.

The exterior of the train did become slightly blurry at points, but nowhere near the level seen on other routes like Birmingham to Crewe. On that route, the 350s sometimes look like they’ve been through a fire.

Considering the route length, it was seriously impressive. I was fully expecting a much worse experience.

I also did a short run in the 807 from Rugby to Milton Keynes Central and had no issues at all with the same setup (full timetable, freight layers disabled).

So far I’d give it an 8/10.

Assuming the crash at Lichfield was due to a spawn on a WMR 323? I had the same problem, on a full run in the 807, MK to Crewe. Weirdly though, there was a Northern 323 heading southbound between Nuneaton and Rugby..

Done some digging and using Euston to MK, Trent Valley and Manchester Commuter, you can almost do an entire run from Euston to Piccadilly using headcode 1H65, departing Euston to begin with at 10.31 in the Pedolino AWC 350/0 train if my memory and notes serve me right

Nope. There's no such thing as a British language.

There is English (traditional) which people in the UK speak. And then there is English (simplified) which the rest of the English speaking world speaks.

PC/Steam here, did a few runs and no major issues to report.

    Did 390 Crewe-MK (1 stop at Nuneaton), 37 L/E Nuneaton-Crewe and 66 DIRFT-Crewe BH.

Only momentary stutters were experienced on the 66 job as passing through various waypoints (evidently it's how they had to set the paths up as go-via's). The 390 run was at line speed all the way and it kept up without any issue loading in the scenery at speed.

    So far the only issues I've encountered were;

37 L/E Crewe-Crewe: Signaller won't allow you onto the fuel road as you need to "check the switches" but the points are all correctly set.
66 DRS 4S44: Flashing tail light affixed to front of loco and non-removable.
Texture: Posters seem slightly low resolution until you walk right up to them then they become perfectly sharp and remain so when moving away.

So far done about 300 miles, was nice to get the 390 to stretch it's legs (even if I don't like them in reality) and the same for the 66. Will churn out another few hundred miles tomorrow, bedtime now ;)

i’m not sure why and how this thread has descended into people quarrelling over what the english language is, but it’s hardly a surprise to see that happen. back to the topic, i’m very happy with the route, aabs have proven themselves again and the 70 can’t come soon enough

This means go to DIRFT (which is one of the teleport points) and get 3 potato collectables there. The problem is that only the potatoes around DIRFT count, others do not.

Update: For documentation, the position of those potatoes are in the screenshot attached.

too bad there isn't a dislike button. lmao what?

Simplified English is a controlled, easy-to-understand version of the language. It uses a short word list (about 850–2,000 words) and basic rules so people with low literacy or who are learning English can read it easily. It helps make text shorter and clearer to read

    Americans speak American English
    Canadians speak Canadian English
    Aussies speak Australian English

    get it?

English is the overall mother language. However, pretending that even all of "Britain" speaks the SAME exact English is poppycock. A Scot and a Etonian and a Liverpudian are all speaking quite different variations and that's within a quick drive from one another.

For that matter, simply the terms "England" and "Britain" being interchanged have led to more than one fight in my experience.

    =-)
