Right. I haven't passed a single freight train yet. I have looked at the layers and I seem to have some missing from routes I do have - strange

I ran one of the 66 DBS freight hauls earlier and saw no other trains at all. There must have been one ahead by a couple of signal blocks as I'd run into yellows from time to time. I'm thinking that there is little traffic since it was early morning (~0440h) leaving Wembley Central (headed to Kings Norton OT Plant). I'm on PC, using full layers despite not having the license for the 802 DLC. I don't mind the 'quiet' tbh, and find the early runs rather relaxing.

I suffered major crashes and stuttering BEFORE I went and brought my PS5 to a repair shop in case it was a personal issue. Turns out it was! Haven't hade more than 5 crashes in the last 2 years. (mainly when approaching Euston). There is the very occasional blurry texture which usually resolves it within a minute if not less and all other performance is decent. Like you said, you'll rarely hear about the good jobs but you'll always hear about the bad ones. This is one of the main reasons I dislike the "Forget about consoles and TSW" conversations when TSW works fine on my console and im sure it works on many others. I think a lot of issues can arise from the console itself, it's maintenance, location and condition. Not disregarding those who do experience constant issues, just stating its not as widespread as it seems.

I've done two, one each way. They were both Liverpool jobs coming in at around 1:04hrs, I'm not sure how many there are but the ones I did were one of the first diagrams (1R11 I think) then the other was the last one, left MKC around 9pm and gets to Crewe just after 10.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear random train horns along the route (not on departure).

Can anyone advise regarding the lack of freight, what layers should we have? I am toying with the DRS freight pack (Edinburgh Glasgow Express?) but not worth it if it’s not going to bring anything to this route. I know the FL Class 70 will when it’s released, but that might be a way off releasing.

I am disappointed with the lack of freight on this route, no freightliner services. when i do a full run end to end on a passenger service the best i see is one freight on a whole run. Would be nice to see the odd charter as well as stock moves.

I have run the lunchtime DRS Mossend to Daventry twice and every time i have an emergency brake application between Nuneaton and Rugby.

Apart from the disappointments above I have really enjoyed this route and well worth the price. I visit the area Cathiron and Easenhall a lot and can't believe how detailed it is. I'm running the PS5, the game runs smooth but I do experience the blurry textures and I always choose the full timetable.

it tells you in the timetable when you select the service, a really nice addition from All Aboard that I hope will be on future routes. I’ve found it really helpful to have that information in the menu

Yes it’s a nice feature but I was being a lazy bar steward trying to avoid trawling through the lists. I have actually suggested before, a proper tabular timetable - whether in working or public format - would be easier to use than these scattered listings under separate motive power headings.

I notice the same old broken timetable issues that still plague TSW6.

Evero service something like 2110 off Milton Keynes heading north. Drive for over an hour in the dark. Get 2.5 miles outside Crewe then brought to a red. 3 trains stacked up ahead all stuck at red signals. Not moving. Can't complete the timetable. Another hour of driving wasted. Why are these problems still happening?

Also a sour taste that to get the cl807 into Milton Keynes - London or Birmingham - Crewe routes you have to buy the Cl805!

If it weren't for the constant blurry textures and odd FPS drops this would be a very strong route, the scenery is nice, it has a great timetable and is overall way better than WCML S.

I'd say it's the best depiction of the modern WCML so far but DTG NEED to sort out this blurry problem, it's taking too long for a fix.

This is what I did on my Pendolino run. It shouldn't happen and hopefully AABS are investigating, but at least we now have a solution which works (most of the time).

In the map, you can select a train and then click to remove it.

If you click on the train in the map, you have 2 options, remove path and remove train, you want the last one.

Love the route but why included DIRFT if there are no services from there?! Do I need another layer? Already got container wagons layered in from elsewhere presumably so I don't think thats the problem, do we have to wait for the CL70 for any DIRFT runs to Basford hall? Surely there should have been a layer from the CL90? Quite a poor show from the freight side of thing really.

Passenger runs are very good imo :)

There are some jobs to/from DIRFT, I am not entirely sure of the specifics but some diagrams are tied to particular Class 66 "versions" or liveries. For instance the MAC 66 has just one diagram but the DRS 66 "version" has 5+ including some modals to/from Daventry :)

You need the scots rail engineering pack dlc. Im not sure if you need Edinburgh to Glasgow route for it to work tho.

Just to check, do I definitely need the Glasgow - Edinburgh route for the engineering pack to work on Trent valley? I don't mind spending a tenner but £40! Got to feed the kids this week!!

I do think you need the route for what it was originally made for. To be able to use it on other routes. Could not just buy it and if does not work get refund.

The engineering pack was released after TSW 3 so no you would not need Edinburgh Glasgow.

Does anyone know how many services the Engineering Express pack unlocks across all routes and timetables (including modded)?
I'm trying to see if I can justify the purchase.

Very good, just make sure the tail-lamp hasn't been left on the front ;)

(Just a little joke as some of the DRS 66s have the tail lamp stuck on the front).

Great route, really enjoying it. Although it does make the MACs ending at Alderley Edge a glaring omission. Imagine being able to run from Manchester to London Euston with route hopping at Crewe and Milton Keynes.

Yeah wouldn't it have been great to do a full run Eus - Man picc! ATS ended MAC in a very random & premature place.

I really think DTG should pick up MAC and finish it off to Crewe, because ATS clearly aren't going to do it (they're on the record stating that even just fixing the track would be too much work). It would then justify selling it as a full price WCML: Crewe to Manchester route with a major discount for existing owners of MAC

I now have done atleast 4-5 full runs from London to Crewe and i absolutely love it. 807 does have blurring issues for me at times but 390 works great! As a base ps5 player im quite happy with the performance.

I might take the "plunge" with this one full price. It won´t be in the next sale anyway. Sadly I´m missing B-C and the 805 for the layers. I hope they show up in the summer sales. Some great content coming from the UK side, I must say!

My verdict is still out on whether it was worth £33. I mean, there's nothing majorly wrong but there are a few concerns that AABS really should have learned from B2C and we can only hope will be sorted.

I hear you. Having finished my 390 run, now going back to my alphabetical playthrough, though might punctuate with a couple of Trent Valley outings. Hard to put my finger on it, but maybe it’s the fact we already had a substantial part of it with B2C. Despite the length it’s still just an A to B run for the most part with the same trains as we already have in game. Scenery wise, well it’s largely an avenue of trees running through the Midland Plains. To be honest, I would rather have had the Cambrian Coast or Central Wales line, low traffic levels aside would have been more appealing.

There’s also the little niggles which seem to have escaped through QA, plus the poor night lighting and lack of reverb makes it feel more like a TSW3 route. I would score 7/10 at the most.

We desperately need something new and different in TSW than these same old route styles, same old (well, new!) trains and little operational variety. One of the reasons I’m currently doing a curated reinstall of TSC. Give me the old Maerdy branch any day, pottering around with the electric shunter (trying not to run the battery flat) or rolling along Weardale with a decent steam loco.

I'm still very much enjoying the route, the signalling issues (see the feedback thread) and also lack of 807 services which should feature on all Liverpool services that run express Milton Keynes to Crewe and vice-versa are the main let-downs.

However, it really does feel like you are going somewhere on this route, not a short distance but flying through a large part of the UK!

Tier 1 of mastery seems bugged I found 3 potatoes at DIRFT but it only counted 2 of them (also why is this a challenge)

I feel like DTG have generated a new problem with the amount of timetable options we have.

Thought I'd run 1U24 from Crewe to Milton Keynes Central and then carry on the run in WCMLS. The train is a 12-car 350/4 from Crewe, yet in WCMLS it's now an 8-car 350/3 in the Evero 2025 timetable. If I'm using the wrong timetable, then please let me know, otherwise it was a bit jarring even with the route hopping being quite painless.
