They dug their own hole. Not just the "bugs" those are relatively minor really.
They didn't give it hardly any services.
It's like having a car that you can't take out of your garage, but just look at.

But also a car that doesnt work quite right, with the person who designed and built the car saying they know its broken and are *really sorry* about it but will still make you wait two months before they bother to do anything about it - all the while telling people their complaining isnt helpfull and continuing to sell the broken car to other people who might not know its broken.

I would honestly be surprised after how the MAC was released, and the issues still present. and after the class 90, if anyone trusted an ATS dlc in the future at all. 2 for 2 is a heck of a trend to set on your entry to the TSW third party scene. hows it go "fool me once, shame on you. fool me twice... cant get fooled again" or something like this.

AABS' class 70 only needs to reach the lofty target of just working with a controller to beat ATS' best efforts, and from what ive seen so far it looks like its about to masacre the class 90 so badly TSW will need to bump its PEGI 13 rating

There are 37 Class 70s, though one was "written off" but still survives as a demonstrator back in Canada.

The model looks good to me, sounds are sourced from AP and they seem ok to me but i'm no expert.

Said this is another thread, but it looks and sounds fantastic. Cannot wait to get it, coupled with the fact it comes with new wagons and a TT for MML, what's not to love?

Only thing I noticed was it seemed a bit shinier than other trains, is that intentional?

I did think that myself, it could do with toning down a bit as they only really looked that shiny before entering into traffic. Because of their "bone" shape and various overhangs, I'd imagine the carriage wash plants aren't very good at cleaning them and the only way to get the bodysides gleaming would be to wash them by hand.

The clean look could well be a licensing condition

And external. My Lords… This could just be on track to be the best sounding UK diesel locomotive in TSW. Looks like that Day One itch will need to be scratched, again.

tl:dr but if they haven’t mentioned it, when do we reckon this will land - late July, perhaps?

Oh those sounds are lovely! I always get a 70 pass my house Mon-Friday doing the Carlisle-chirk log run and I always get to hear it roar pass my house!

if there’s something I could say they could maybe adjust:

The sounds of the traction motors at speed, might be a bit too quiet for my liking but in real life, you can hear those motors from a distance away, maybe just over a mile away on a good day!

I like the new clag/exhaust on the 70’s, definitely the right color for those beasts! I’d say if to improve it, have the clag going more straight up instead of kinda hovering around the roof but I understand it’s a work in progress and would probably be adjusted before release!

someone mentioned how shiny it is, I agree but could well be down to licensing so I’m not too bothered! Least we got a new beast in town!

looking forward to this! Not played TSW in months and this is going to reel me back in!
