Oh no it gets worse! That bumps the price up to £40!! I'm certain in real life DIRFT let's in more than just Blue 66's :D

Just to check, do I definitely need the Glasgow - Edinburgh route for the engineering pack to work on Trent valley? I don't mind spending a tenner but £40! Got to feed the kids this week!!

I do think you need the route for what it was originally made for. To be able to use it on other routes. Could not just buy it and if does not work get refund.

The engineering pack was released after TSW 3 so no you would not need Edinburgh Glasgow.

Does anyone know how many services the Engineering Express pack unlocks across all routes and timetables (including modded)?
I'm trying to see if I can justify the purchase.

Very good, just make sure the tail-lamp hasn't been left on the front ;)

(Just a little joke as some of the DRS 66s have the tail lamp stuck on the front).

Great route, really enjoying it. Although it does make the MACs ending at Alderley Edge a glaring omission. Imagine being able to run from Manchester to London Euston with route hopping at Crewe and Milton Keynes.

Yeah wouldn't it have been great to do a full run Eus - Man picc! ATS ended MAC in a very random & premature place.

I really think DTG should pick up MAC and finish it off to Crewe, because ATS clearly aren't going to do it (they're on the record stating that even just fixing the track would be too much work). It would then justify selling it as a full price WCML: Crewe to Manchester route with a major discount for existing owners of MAC

I now have done atleast 4-5 full runs from London to Crewe and i absolutely love it. 807 does have blurring issues for me at times but 390 works great! As a base ps5 player im quite happy with the performance.

I might take the "plunge" with this one full price. It won´t be in the next sale anyway. Sadly I´m missing B-C and the 805 for the layers. I hope they show up in the summer sales. Some great content coming from the UK side, I must say!

My verdict is still out on whether it was worth £33. I mean, there's nothing majorly wrong but there are a few concerns that AABS really should have learned from B2C and we can only hope will be sorted.

I hear you. Having finished my 390 run, now going back to my alphabetical playthrough, though might punctuate with a couple of Trent Valley outings. Hard to put my finger on it, but maybe it’s the fact we already had a substantial part of it with B2C. Despite the length it’s still just an A to B run for the most part with the same trains as we already have in game. Scenery wise, well it’s largely an avenue of trees running through the Midland Plains. To be honest, I would rather have had the Cambrian Coast or Central Wales line, low traffic levels aside would have been more appealing.

There’s also the little niggles which seem to have escaped through QA, plus the poor night lighting and lack of reverb makes it feel more like a TSW3 route. I would score 7/10 at the most.

We desperately need something new and different in TSW than these same old route styles, same old (well, new!) trains and little operational variety. One of the reasons I’m currently doing a curated reinstall of TSC. Give me the old Maerdy branch any day, pottering around with the electric shunter (trying not to run the battery flat) or rolling along Weardale with a decent steam loco.

I'm still very much enjoying the route, the signalling issues (see the feedback thread) and also lack of 807 services which should feature on all Liverpool services that run express Milton Keynes to Crewe and vice-versa are the main let-downs.

However, it really does feel like you are going somewhere on this route, not a short distance but flying through a large part of the UK!

Tier 1 of mastery seems bugged I found 3 potatoes at DIRFT but it only counted 2 of them (also why is this a challenge)

Hope yous are all enjoying the long-distance run. I`ve been waiting for this route for ages but I should probably forget about it because my sim can`t stop crashing.

I feel like DTG have generated a new problem with the amount of timetable options we have.

Thought I'd run 1U24 from Crewe to Milton Keynes Central and then carry on the run in WCMLS. The train is a 12-car 350/4 from Crewe, yet in WCMLS it's now an 8-car 350/3 in the Evero 2025 timetable. If I'm using the wrong timetable, then please let me know, otherwise it was a bit jarring even with the route hopping being quite painless.

This is why, for route hopping to be convincing, the train you were driving previously needs to sub over the default in the continuation including importing any late running you might have incurred. It also needs to happen from the cab then spawn you back in the cab, not return to free roam and amble across to a marker.

Something that doesn't subtract from the gameplay but does irk me a little, why are the wires so straight? Usually they go I'm a zig-zag formation.

I'm pretty sure you don't need the route, only the engineering pack

Is it worth it to add more freight layers? I’m happy to spend £10 if it unlocks a decent amount.

Same problem with the 390s. Furthermore, some services available with the 805 Evero timetable in WCMLS are not there in MKC to Crewe.

I haven't tested it yet, but this PC mod is meant to 'unlock' the DRS Class 66 services without needing the Engineering Express pack.

Requirements are the Class 66 Megapack and either Cargo Line Vol. 3 for the FKAs services or Cargo Line Vol. 5 for the FNAs services.

This has been mentioned in the Feedback thread. Once noticed, you can’t unsee it. I know it would be a significant job to redo, but as the route builder(s) got it wrong then they need to go back in and sort it. Very surprised it wasn’t picked up during snagging and play testing, I mean it’s a fairly basic principle of laying out high voltage overhead wire system.

It's to allow even wear on the pantograph, if it where dead straight you'd end up with grooved pantos.

very surprising indeed, especially since a couple of the aabs devs previously worked for ats who are well renowned for their ohle modelling

Another screenshot but I couldn’t not!

A summer evening and 390006 skirts alongside the Grand Union Canal at Whilton Marina on 1A74 1943 Nuneaton (1835 Manchester Piccadilly) to London Euston.

Atleast we are getting value for money! 2x bugs for the price of 1!

I had a go at driving it but when I entered the cab & tried to sit down it launched its self off the track :D

Come on DTG get it sorted.

Yes, I reckon that’s because the locomotive is stuck inside the goods wagon.
As you can see in your picture. And TSW really doesn’t like that sort of thing.
