Tuhh.. Same. But of course, the RhB Enhancement pack, although was announced a week before release and week after the M2/4 was announced, still managed to make its debut. As I had suspected it would.

Exactly my point. They release stuff like a little Austrian DMU that honestly nobody gives a crap about only a few days after they announce it, and we have to wait weeks for something that people have been waiting years for. I mean I understand it builds suspense which could possibly generate more sales, but come on. Don't tease us.

This really reminds me of when they released the Arrows. It took like a month after the announcement before they were released.

I guess Reppo hasn’t declared it finished yet.

*downvote* I don't think it has to do with Reppo. I think they're done developing it. This is more down to the publisher DTG not wanting to release it until who knows when.

That I don't know for sure. They have their own reasons. My guess is to generate more suspense to try and generate more sales that way, or maybe to entice the people who would normally wait for a sale to buy it at full price when it's released.

They're either trying to murder everyone with hype or are too busy prepping random 4-year-old DLC from Just Trains for release on Steam.

4 year old DLC? Try up around 7 or 8 years old.

I would assume due to QA testing, but a few of the last few releases seem to have slipped thru with very little QA testing....

Wow, people are so hyped for this that the developer had to make an account on the forums today just to respond. If you want some suggestions Reppo, feel free to take a scroll up in the thread. *cough* Metroliner cab car *cough*

I don't think they'll ever give a release date. It's just gonna be "coming soon" until it's actually released.

Yep, we will just have to wait until it is released. Especially with a DLC this anticipated, they would want the release to be a "surprise."

I think they're getting to a point where people are starting to lose interest because of waiting so long. If they'd just release it already they might still capitalize on the hype.

At least with this, Reppo confirmed that the wait is due to some tweaks they have to make. At least it's not DTG holding it up just to capitalize on hype. As painful as it is to wait, I'd honestly rather wait if it means a finished product. Too many devs are forced to release content unfinished these days because of pressure from publishers, wether it be wanting to just get the product on the market to get sales or the publisher setting ridiculous deadlines for devs to complete their projects.

Not sure if you read all of what he was stating, or even read it correctly, but he totally isn't saying that. His statement is alluding to the fact that stuff tends to get released under pressure and not working as intended. But instead, it is being worked on to give the best quality, especially for something that has long been requested. Which even for someone like myself who just wants this thing released already, can understand.

Yeah, I said they're NOT holding it up just to capitalize on hype, but I can honestly see DTG doing that just to tease people, which is why I probably said it earlier in the thread.

Any possibility that the windows can get some tinting on them, either before this is released, or soon after via hotfix update?

I've noticed upon release with the Metro north EMU's that they don't have tinted windows as they should. The M8 DLC did, however, receive it eventually, whereas the M7A for the Hudson did not. If that can also somehow be addressed, to give them a more authentic look to them, it would be great.

Do you have any evidence to confirm this statement?

With our busy release schedule and tight deadlines, there is absolutely no leeway for holding up releases to 'tease people'. We only have two release slots each week, on Thursdays and on Fridays, for one release maximum each day, with two games (Train Sim World and Train Simulator) sharing these slots. If a product is not ready for release, it has to be moved further which creates issues for products scheduled for upcoming weeks. The business works thanks to advance planning and it cannot survive with imaginary speculation of whether players will purchase a few extra copies if the product is delayed by a few weeks - this would create more problems than benefits.

Let's just hope one of those slots will be open for the M2 and not taken up by some random 5 year-old add-on from Just Trains that nobody asked for.

Or another boring generic German/Austrian route. 120 kph most of the way with the same old assets from Munich-Augsburg. I still stand by what I said with the fact that I can really see DTG holding up routes to generate hype. They're not doing it with this one because Reppo confirmed it, but that doesn't mean they won't ever do it. They'll try to cover their a**, but people know. I know one good way to generate hype for a product is maybe to give the community frequent updates or an estimated release date. If something comes up and the release needs to be pushed back, let us know and explain why it needed to be pushed back. But that will never happen. Why communicate when you can just take our money instead? I guess that's what happens when 1 company has a chokehold on the majority of the already tiny train sim market.

And to...certain people, how dare I speak about the almighty DTG is such a horrible way! Bet now you regret bugging them to get rid of that downvote button, huh? ;)

As I’ve believe I directed to you once before. In some regards I do agree with some of your sentiments. And sometimes it’s not really what your saying, it’s how you come across with saying it.

Also, I think the whole thing with the upvote/downvote argument is rather silly and. I think even without it, still possible to be able to express a disagreement in a civil manner personally. The only have gripes with it because of how ridiculously huge the icon with the list are. It’s completely unnecessary for it to be so huge.

I couldn't agree more. The German routes are extremely boring unless you're really into DB. As a side note, I think we all know who that "certain person" is lol.

Just because you find a route boring doesn’t mean that everyone does. There might be people who think the M2s and M4s are boring.

If they find it boring, then they don't have to spend the money on it. That's why I don't buy German routes because I find them boring. Some people find American or UK routes boring (and I don't blame them with some of the mountain pass routes).

It's as TrainSim-Dmitri says, if you miss your slot and the there are other products ahead in the release queue then release can be delayed weeks or even months.

That said, I would suggest to DTG as soon as they know the DLC is fit for release and they allocate a future a release slot, they should communicate the date for release to potential customers. This way people are excited for the release date as it approaches, rather than speculating in a frustrated state and potentially spending money on another another company's product in the mean time.

Well, what you said, did somewhat come true. The "Valley Corridor Route" from JT was just released. It isn't 5yrs old. But, no one asked for that either. Glad I didn't hold my breath for M2 this week either.

Yeah really. Who asked for that? I hope DTG or some other developer is in the process of creating an absolutely massive and highly requested route, and that they're just releasing these old JT routes in the meantime in a poor attempt to pacify us.

And yeah, as far as the M2/M4 cars go, I really think they should have waited until a slot was ready or until the DLC was finished before even announcing, because if they did, I doubt a lot of people would be bitter in the forums. Really, I know patience is a virtue, but don't tease.

Aaaaaand I just saw, today’s release slot went to another Just Trains addon, as I thought it would. Just hoping the M2/M4 comes out tommorow or next week.
