Route Wcml Trent Valley: Milton Keynes - Crewe Add-on Feedback Thread

On the ROG 37 doing the 0N42 is impossible because of the red signal board where if you contact the signaller it just says check switches even though all of them are correct. Ps5.

 

32k AP for a semi fast from Crewe to MKC, really? I know we want to knock Bakerloo and the 1972 stock out of everyone's favourite route/train but this needs a serious nerf - by about 50%!

 

This is probably more of a DTG instigated issue, but WHY can you not wrap text in the box properly ?

 

After heading into a save game on a service with the 807, the screens turn off and you have to click for them to return, and for only 5 seconds it lasts.

 

It’s a valid signalling sequence though. Just means that the route has been set over the junction.

 

Very few passengers at all stations on the route

 

Near the market at Milton Keynes’s there white text floating that just says text. Also enabling and disabling the market at Milton Keynes scenery tile does nothing and is always there even before you unlock it.

 

Just out of interest, why is there a Pumpkin at Lichfield Trent Valley ?

 

But is that the right AP for a 100+ mile journey?

 

No, because Carlisle to Preston which is 15 miles shorter with 4 stops not eight gives less than half of that.

 

I'm really enjoying the new sounds for the 350. However, like the original 350 that came with WCMLS, the ventilation sounds in the cab still occasionally disappear and don't come back on again. I realize this is probably a nitpick in the grand scheme of things, but I find it really annoying and immersion breaking to come to a stop at a station and finding the 350 to be completely silent in-cab. At least the 350/4's cab fan sounds seem to disappear less readily than was the case in 350 from WCMLS, so that's an improvement I guess.

 

Very frustrating evening.

Reloaded a previously CTD’d save game around Litchfield and continued on towards Crewe. Passed Litchfield.. then Rugeley.. saw lots of trees, bridges and fields. On approach to Stafford I was brought to a standstill with four services held at red in front, with a stubborn LNWR refusing to depart its platform and clear the line at Stafford. The exact same happened on the other side, with a backlog of another 4 trains. I had to delete both LNWR’s just to get moving, and not without a huge delay.. but the game wasn’t happy with just that, no. De ja vu! The same again at Crewe. A pair of stubborn LNWR 350’s holding up and contesting Crewe from many angles. Again, I manually unblocked, but only to be served with another CTD. I reloaded and manually unblocked Crewe again. Crawled into the platform.. CTD. Reloaded once more and made it to the marker, hooray! Nope. CTD as the doors interlocked in the final act of the full length non-stop run. Reload again! CTD again. Try again but delete some unused dlc to free up space.. CTD. One more go, despawn all trains in the area, leave the opposite side doors open too and walk the train manually closing doors. Guess what?

Such a pain the save feature doesn’t work properly on this as a lot of the journeys are quite long and I feel like I can’t save them mid journey cos it won’t let me reload it at a later date

 

Im getting so peed off starting a job and spawning in no where near train or even in a cab.

 

My only other criticism is that there seems to be a lack of 807 services.

If the timetable is the late 2025 timetable. All the Euston to Liverpool services which depart Milton Keynes at xx:15 should be booked an 807. And similar the Liverpool to Euston services which depart Crewe at xx:23, should be booked an 807.

It’s only the new ‘additional’ Liverpool’s booked for Pendolinos.

I've noticed this. 1A64, for example, should be an 807 but is a 390 service in-game.

 

If i got a clear path in front on for next 15 miles why i chase yellows and reds all the way.

 

interesting. I havent had a problem with that, Is it the full mainline run or the crewe - crewe CS (2nd one) this happened?

 

Also I think I have seen an 807 on a Manchester service in the game which has never happened IRL to my knowledge!

 

they sure put a lot of cow's and sheep's on the fields

 

but missed putting passengers on the platforms from what I have experienced.

 

Its a great route but im getting a little bored with it now.

Please Explain form for the TSW signaller. Doing 1M17 Glasgow to Euston which is non stop from Crewe to MKC, brought to a shuddering halt at Rugby for 1U44 110 MPH Class 350 to get routed out in front of me. I mean, I know we wanted the signaller to be dynamic but that's definitely tea and biscuits with the Manager!

Further to my post above, 1M17 12' late into MKC. Delay exacerbated by having to delete the train in front of 1U44 which had got stuck on the Up Fast south of MKC and not cleared off to the portal.

Also, might just be me, but is this route back to the very poor night lighting. Even in the big towns en route there is very little building or street illumination apparent and most of the stations are a bit dingy too. A great shame after what Medway Valley and the Czech route showed what is possible.

 

Playing on PC. Maybe I am being stupid but I have had the 807 cab screens turn themselves off a couple of times now. Have I accidentally done something or is this a bug. Click on them and they come back on then switch off after 5 or so secs. Tried switching between classic and enhanced but no change. Happens after using the speed set.

People keep saying this, there isn't really any differences between the too locos aside from the extra coaches. No one has claimed they are anyway different otherwise.

 

The train is probably not scheduled to stop at Milton Keynes. therefore it runs as AI from Stafford onwards.

 

Regarding the signalling sequence issues, I’ve just played 1U43 (1646 Euston) 1719 Milton Keynes to Crewe.

No issues until Lichfield Trent Valley but then the following signalling sequences happened. They even continued past Stafford to Crewe in some places but I’d given up caring at this point. Disappointing and for me personally, completely immersion breaking, not unplayable obviously but not enjoyable at all.

But it all started at LS5527…

I gave up looking properly after that! But something has gone badly wrong with the signalling on the slow line.

 

Has anyone experiencing these odd signal aspect sequences got Signal Delays turned on in the game?

 

I did have, then I disabled all random events (I only ever signal delays enabled anyway) still the same.

 

Which is why it’s a bit cheeky to really mention the 807 when plugging the route!

 

The formation of the RHTT services (3S12) in WCML Trent Valley only have the Dual Tank w/Generator and a Triple Tank Wagon in its formation, lacking a pump, which means the jet cannot be enabled. When following the standard procedures of booting the RHTT up on such service, the engine lights does not light up and the cleaning does not start. On the other hand, scenarios with this loco on SEHS itself are not impacted. (Ticket: #121778)

 

PS 5

The game is continuously randomly crashing.

Journey mode - first route after training centre for the 350/4, Rugby to Crewe. Game crashes as I am pulling into Crewe at the 20 mph speed limit change. Also, very heavy snow on May 21st!!

Cannot load any of my saved games. Game crashes if I try and reload a save.

Service 1F16 - Overspeed emergency brakes applied while driving under the speed limit. Just before passing through Litchfield Trent Valley. Happens near the HS2 works every time I play it.

As it crashes so frequently and I cannot load any saves I won't be playing this route again. I should have learnt my lesson after buying the still broken Birmingham to Crewe route from AAS. Incredibly frustrating and a total waste of money, especially as Sony won't refund it.

 

They had to justify that £33 price tag though…

 

Did you check the map to see what you were potentially following? If there's a rogue service ahead then worth noting, if not and the despatcher is simply not clearing enough route then that's a separate issue.

 

I had the same issue, with no trains ahead of me.

 

I also recorded these special sequences on PS5 and I would almost say that it is permanent, because it seemed to me that it was always without selecting the service. Especially in connection with 350/4, where the annoying acoustic signal for AWS confirmation before the Y(YY) signal, I got a penalty break every now and then

Just had exactly the same running 1U27

 

There was no signage on the ground that I recall seeing and certainly no advance board. There was no approach control either, straight on greens. Also why would there be approach control in this instance as you are staying on the Up Slow, not diverging to another line.

 

When I play full timetable Milton Keynes to crewe . When i place a Freight down at mk and say 4m77 come up to train and then goes through red light of it follows me to he'd to rugby via weeden

 

at the end of the day it IS a new train class. Its perfectly normal to mention it. People complain about the lack of variety in classes but then complain when developers mention them. You really can't win.

 

Mine crashes after I have saved the game, and then try to re-load it, this has happened multiple times on the PS5 Pro, different trains, different locations, but always on the MK-Crewe route. Funny thing is, when I first installed it, it worked fine, when I saved the game, it re-loaded fine, but since then we have had an update, I don't know if this has broken things, but it don't wanna know...which is a shame, it's a great route. Just a shame there were no old Class 86 and 87s services too, now that would have been great.

 

Jamie....This is also happening on the PS5 too, it does not matter what train I am driving, if I save the game, no matter what train, it crashes, yes I have re-built the database on my PS5 Pro, but it ONLY happens on the Crewe-Birmingham and Crewe-MK route, and also since day one of the Birmingham-Crewe route, when shutting the doors on the 350, it says open doors again after you have shut them, this ALSO happens on the Crewe-MK Route too. But this is mainly on the Class 350, its nearly all the 350's, and its nearly all the services, I mentioned this before, but as usual, I got ignored
