It seems too bad they chose to simply bin a good route instead of just updating the scenarios/rolling stock to the new TOC.

I've been recently looking at pictures and videos of the RhB to try and recreate some of the real trains I saw. The RhB is my favorite Swiss railway network. Got a couple of shots! :)

And here's a couple from me. The AP class 37 is a joy.

The AP 37 is their best one - slightly better than the class 50 I think (the 50 is great - don't get me wrong - but the 37 has got just a little bit extra - the cold start procedure is I think better detailed and more realistic - certainly in terms of the initial clag and how the engine runs when just started with the 37).

I recently got that 37 on sale and it is fan darn tastic. It can be just about anywhere and swap w the default 37s just about anywhere. Aside the valenta powered HST its my fav for sure

Oh yes! I like that one too. One of my absolute favourites. The noise is just fantastic!

Oh yeah, the 37 is a lot better than the 50. The cab just feels so "lived in" while the 50 feels a little sterile and is somewhat lacking in special little features akin to the 37's wobbling antenna.

Oh, and don't forget the flies splatting on the windscreen in the summer on the AP class 37 :)

It was a dark and stormy night on the Riviera...

    20200112162942_1.jpg

... alone on the platform, a young woman stands shivering in the rain. Where has she come from? And what tragedy moves her to stand on this rain-swept platform, as the darkness of night gradually covers the coast?

    20200112163009_1.jpg

One thing seems certain, it wasn't the weather that brought her here...

    20200112162811_1.jpg

Perhaps she is running away, making an escape from a life untold. Who knows what horrors drove her to board that train? It would seem the chance of escape was her only way out...

    20200112162213_1.jpg

Who knew Train Simulator could give rise to such an unsolved mystery story...

I thought a run with a TGV would be good to find out how fast it would go
    TGV 512.jpg
The Digital speedo stopped above 399kph but the F3 HUD shows the 512kph as top speed.

Yes, I am. I've copied Michael's GN Train 1 (1955) scenario and swapped out his consist for a more accurate one, and while the payware set is nice there are a few issues with it - in the second picture you can see the numbers slightly clipping through the numberboards and the draw distance on the dome coach sides isn't great.

Screenshot_Canadian Mountain Passes_51.13901--117.85255_03-02-21.jpg Canadian Pacific #9354, a manifest train, passes by a "mixed grain" train. As 9354 climbs up the mountain which has a %2.2 grade, the mixed grain train makes it's way down the mountain with ease. Screenshot_Mittenwaldbahn_47.48529-11.10354_23-40-04.jpg Somewhere in Germany, this town is very quiet, despite the noise of the passing electric trains and noisy railroad crossing. Screenshot_Mittenwaldbahn_47.49020-11.09791_23-39-17.jpg
Meanwhile down the line, train #206, on platform B, makes the final All Aboard call before the doors close. Soon after, the train departs. Screenshot_Mittenwaldbahn_47.48529-11.10354_23-39-59.jpg
Later that night, Train #206 passes by the small town; surprisingly, it provided little noise, despite the crossing.

Anybody else find it funny how a completely free to download third party NYC J3a Hudson has managed to match, and quite possibly, outdo payware DLC off of Steam? Is it perfect? Goodness no, nothing ever truly is, but you gotta admit, that Hudson freeware has Gtrax's steam locos whipped.

Yeah, G-Trax's steam locomotives have not aged well at all. I've always hoped that someone would revamp them to modern standards. It's amazing how good DSGDDR's models are. Just look at this!

    Screenshot_Horseshoe Curve_40.37293--78.82767_12-13-21.jpg

What's more amazing is that he's kind enough to release them for free! Imagine if he and Smokebox decided to team up? They'd be unstoppable!

Unstoppable's a H U G E understatement if they did decide to team up on something. With Smokebox on board, they'd possibly be able to get A LOT OF details modeled that they were unable to on their own, and vice versa.
