I know Basford Hall won't have static stock. But will other areas that are due to have static stock on PC layer onto Console?

Still buying it, but I'm hoping other yards etc won't be bare.

For the time being nothing will, am aiming on having more of a look into optimising the timetable so the PS5 and XSX can have some static stock.

The only areas really of note that will seem like it's a bit barren is Basford Hall, All of the things in Arpley are from other services.

I hope Dovetail give us an improved scenario editor for TS7 on console. It’s not a deal breaker by any stretch, but it is nice to be able to add static stock to a route.

Very excited to see how the Route hopping works for this and WCMLoS. The Electrics are my favourite locos and the thought of driving a service from Crewe via Preston to Carlisle is so exciting. Route hoping isn't a feature that I use but a scenario like this is where that feature could really come into it's own.

Haven’t watched last nights stream yet (busy trying to get old FSX add ons working, looking at you JF 757 Captain!!) so wondering what the hot takes from it were? Day One purchase or wait and see, full price or wait for a sale? My biggest worry is this will be a bit of an anticlimax after Shap and without the scenery factor it will end up being a bit of a drag, like Trent Valley (unfortunately) seems to be turning out.

The work that has gone into this route is absolutely amazing. So much to do and enjoy that it is worth more than £30. This is certainly the best route in the game, it is so accurate it’s unbelievable. The walking around Wigan is fantastic and l advise you to watch last night’s stream and the JTs one, as you will be blown away by its so many features. Great price and Day One buy for me.

lf you buy for Steam get it on the Just Trains website as you will get points towards money off future purchases so saves a bit of money.

Going into it (and only seeing some parts of it briefly when it was in it's earlier development phase) I had NO IDEA you could walk around Wigan Wallgate and all the way down to the factory. It was amazing seeing so many familiar sites! Including The Old Courts and where my mum got married, where my dad worked for his whole life, Preston looking incredible.

I had a great time! Very excited for this to come out!

Only caught a small part as was watching Belgium v Egypt (will watch the rest today) but looked superb. That section between Warrington and Wigan looked so alive with freight and just the general detail of everything.

Wigan is really impressive yeah - chuffed to see they’ve modelled the interior of Springs Branch too - that shed was at best a 50/50 for getting a look round - I got the old “will they/won’t they” butterflies just seeing the road leading down to it :D Can’t wait to have a good old wander about. Might have to take some sandwiches and a flask of tea and have my lunch in the cab of a 40 just for old times sake :D

Seeing the variety in traffic and the number of layers, the console will probably boot up even without static resources ........ :D

One observation on PS5 Pro, which is more related across the spectrum of JT maps, when I have an active service with Class142 (Pacer), when moving the view or moving the camera outside, it is so jerky, it is not smooth as when I drive the same service (for example on PReston-Carlisle) with Class101. This phenomenon is manifested on both previous maps from JT. But when I try Class 142 on West Cornwall, where there is also a substitution, it is smooth there...... it is a shame, it is a bit distracting

Day 1 for me without question. It looks superb and I love the freight. Also the express services are a little shorter than Shap so might be better when you don't have as much time.

I hope we see some loco DLC for it. A 25, unrefurbished 37, 56 and 85 would be great.

It's a shame it's released around the same time as Trent Valley, I can't afford both so Trent Valley will wait till next month.

I jumped out of my seat when I saw the floodlights from Central Park. Absolutely incredible inclusion, and I’m looking forward to seeing how much of the old cathedral of Rugby League is actually in the game. Pretty sure I spotted Springfield Park on the other side of the tracks too. Absolutely cannot wait for this route. It could be a Wigan sandbox at this point and I’d still buy it.

Desperately need JT to do a route out of Wallgate now, preferably Manchester Victoria to Southport via Atherton complete with the iconic 80s/90s graffiti around the Salford area - “Dean Lewtas is a grass”

Day one for me as I’ve been highly anticipating this for what feels like a year now! Unfortunately I’m a lowly XBox S user so Basford Hall will be like a ghost town for me, but it will be worth it if it prevent crashes, which plagued me on the arrival to Preston on Blackpool Branches, initially anyway.

It’s been a hard week not pressing the button on Trent Valley, for sure, but I know it won’t get a look in from Friday so much as I’ve loved Birmingham-Crewe I’m giving it a miss for now. Probably when the 70 comes out…

So my second question in the Q&A thread wasn’t answered during the livestream so I’ll ask it here.

In regards to Timetable operation. Do all the FID-FERY-PWR MGR trains come from the two coal sources on map or are there MGR trains that originate off map as well to feed the station. And to what extent can we drive those… like are there any MGR trains I can pick up mid journey at Crewe and continue up and through FID-FERY-PWR and back?

Caught up on most of the stream and the Deepdale branch looks spot on. Like the little in game shout out to TinTin there as well, very nice.

There are off map ones too which come in and you can drive from a point that makes sense.
For example one coming from Maryport which you start at Preston giving you a very nice long run.

In theory too once the Cumbrian coast route is released one could drive the entire run which is exciting!

The Cumbrian Coast route we're doing is from Carlisle to Whitehaven, the diagram would have went south from Maryport and through Whitehaven.

I did notice on the stream last night. When the wagons were being loaded with coal, you could see the coal passing straight through the bottom of the wagons and onto the track as if the doors were open.

Not sure how that was missed.

Ah, I had assumed it would be routed via the M&C, but still good chunk of it can be run from Carnforth.

There won't be platform announcements for Preston - Carlisle in this update.

The timetable for Preston - Carlisle had no stations other than end points as off map destinations and so if I added announcements they wouldn't be realistic.

It can be easy to miss, but it does seemingly pass through the bottom of the wagon. Screenshot_20260616-162624.png

I've just gone back and watched the part of the livestream that "concerned me" yesterday and am happier, I had jumped back into it to watch the run up from SP to Bickershaw and at the time it looked like they had royally messed up Platt Bridge but upon watching it back it has been done correctly, it was just really hard to tell with the camera constantly moving around to look at things on the cab floor etc... So well done there guys & gals, very happy with that :)

(My physio is adjacent to the line at that spot and everytime I go past I wonder just how great it was back then to have pairs of 20s thundering past, less so if you were staying at the Victoria Hotel with your room at track level, though some of us would enjoy that).

Aside from checking in at Platt Waz I didn't really watch the stream as the JT one had covered enough for me, even with the shoutout to my reference to Mesnes Park and getting married there ;)

Wigan looks brilliant, really went above and beyond there and I will be finding plenty of opportunities to linger around there. My "spots" at Bamfurlong are in there too and look accurate, though I'm not used to seeing it no longer overgrown like it is now.

I do wonder service wise, according to the timetable there are 666 services (loving that of course) but I wonder if some services are hidden, such as some of the loco swap moves as per Shap in order to keep the timetable tidy. I mean even after all 666 services are done I'm fairly sure I'll be re-doing some favourites and making my own trip workings and tours etc... I have no fear of not having things to do with this route.

I've got 9 days leave from Thursday so dare I say for a change, "Everything's coming up Milhouse!" ;)
