just a thought, not the biggest issue but still something dtg might want to consider. is it time we had a statement regarding the class 104 and 420, or lack thereof? these are dlcs that appeared on the roadmap 3 and 6 years ago respectively, and whilst i understand that not every project will make it to release, as customers we still deserve an answer as to whether these projects are cancelled, instead of just endlessly waiting in the dark
I thought DTG had confirmed cancellation of the Class 104? It's certainly been off the Roadmap for a good while now. As regards the DB 420, well it was highly anticipated we were going to see it at the end of last year but can only assume something went pear shaped. Hopefully unlike the 104 it won't evaporate into vapourware... Then there's also the DB 232 Ludmilla from TSG which was highly anticipated but also appears to have gone AWOL.
i must’ve missed that because i don’t recall that, simtrack have also been involved in tsw recently so i’ve still got some hope that the 104 will eventually come
it’s been like that for 3 years, either they cancel it outright or provide a timeline for resuming development
I don't know about you guys, but I've already accepted that we'll never get the 420 nor the 104, and with a lot of luck we'll only get the tadami after the TSW7
well, high iron simulations produces content for cajon pass till these days (and both peak forest and cajon pass are from the TSW3 era)
No experience with US routes but yeah, looking at wiki pics it's hard to imagine this as a game with texture memory issues.
yeah, that’s the issue. the 104 would’ve been a great addition a couple of years ago but now peak forest, as with most tsw3 routes, is starting to show its age
We have just had a class 171 for ECW, a route from circa 2020. Yes it had a remaster but it still is very much a route from 2020.
Well maybe so but it shows the age of route isn't necessarily a barrier to an update or a "new" train. GWE will get one too
I wish they would revisit peak forest, yes we know they dropped the ball with steam, but that route is a joy to drive, why not make a timetable using diesel traction, it may not be true to life, but such an enjoyable route doesn't deserve to stagnate because of a failed traction experiment, i often run the 101, 142 and many others along there.
I don't know how you've missed it, there have been multiple threads about this over the past year or two. Search '104' and you'll find them, they all end up with someone pointing to past discussions that all say the same thing; consider it dead until such time as Simtrack ever proceed further.
