Emmy_MAN The only thing I'm missing in TSW is the BR 145 locomotive; I haven't bought the Medway Valley Line route. Mir fehlt nur die Lok BR 145 im TSW, die Strecke Medway Valley Line habe ich nicht gekauft.
Hello folks, The missing Expert BR 145 (Or Medway Valley Line) was an issue related to the most recent patch. We released a hotfix that adressed this and it should now be resolved. More info here: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/train-sim-world-6-update-notes-may-28th-2026.98127/ All the best, Jan
@Michel.Guinand Take a look in your TSW 6 folder. The .pak file might be there; if so, you can copy it into the DLC folder.
The BR 145 is still available on Series X as typical and expected. Sounds like it might be a PC issue.
Any idea when this patch will be coming to TSW? I've SPAD'ed twice on this service today because I didn't want to come to a stop too early without traction power and therefore braked too late
Apparently the submitted 145 fixes/updates were almost released with the most recent patch. I believe DTG said they are probably coming up in the next round of patches, which was described as being in a few weeks. Still in QA purgatory I guess. I am very much looking to this as well.
From what I've read, the update for the BR 145 and Medway Valley was supposed to be released this week—that's what someone wrote at one point—but that's no longer mentioned there.
I don't have any more news than before, unfortunately. As mentioned before the patch is in QA with DTG so hopefully the wait won't be much longer now, but exactly when only DTG knows
cwf.green, Do you know why that update was included in the update released on 28 May, but was then removed again?
It very concerning, the Br101 asg cutout brake behaviour is not fixed either by dtg, and its an old one. (Introduced by an update, because it was working at release) - when 1 complete bogie is cut off, the brakes of this bogie should work pneumatic during combined braking, which is not the case anymore on the 101. Beside that its really hard to find errors on the 145 . Small things like panto not lowering when changing via selector during driving. Speaks for very good products, both the 101 and 145.
Can confirm, the whole PIS system on that loco is now broken. Deactivated all mods, still broken. Really sad, since it worked just fine before. Can't fix one thing without breaking another thing...
If true i hope it doesnt end up like the 101, where an update messed up the brake behaviour in the situation when 2 asg were disabled in the same bogie. Not fixed until today and very annoying to not have brake pressure when there should be.
Yes, it’s great that there’s an update for the BR 101. But why is it that after updates – which are supposed to improve things – there are always other things that end up breaking? And that hasn’t just happened with the BR 145 Expert, but with other updates as well. Time and again, something is improved, but at the same time, one to three other things end up being broken.
The problem is how DTG has set up their quality control. As has been discussed so many times already, it creates major limitations and makes the whole system painfully slow when it comes to updates. Some updates sit in the queue for months, and small bug‑fix updates don’t get released because every single click on a product sends it straight back into quality control again and that process takes months as well. There are now so many add‑ons that the system they’re using adds very little value and is mostly counterproductive. I imagine 3rd‑party developers are getting fed up with it too. The quality control process has been discussed endlessly on the forum, but DTG either doesn’t know or doesn’t want to adopt a different workflow that would distribute bug‑fixing more effectively across their pipeline.
I have found the solution for the 145 Expert PIS!! You have to turn off and turn on this button FIS: After a few seconds it will reboot with a count down: When the FIS has a reboot it will work. Its not a bug but a future but yeah without extra information how do you know that?! Big thanks to Matin_TSP for his video:
The electric-pneumatic brake behaviour with a whole bogie cut out was fixed last summer, so I need to investigate how it is still broken on the public build (perhaps a later change broke it again - though I highly doubt that as I never touched that part of the Simugraph physics - or perhaps it is a merge issue similar to how the Acela has a wheel slip issue on public builds but not the beta builds on PC). I will also investigate the PIS issue where a reset is needed (missing/broken initialization). This one is even more confusing since I actually worked with QA to test some issues with the PIS before my final submissions for the patch, and this was never flagged (nor did I encounter it myself). I will update here and in the bug/changelist thread once I have an answer. Apologies for the frustration, believe me I'm more frustrated than any of you are!
One "fun" bug I've just figured out: Getting close with the camera to the 145 disables the noises inside the cab of any other rail vehicle you're driving. This causes only the rolling and traction sounds to be audible but silences things like switches, levers, airconditioning etc.. Only the sounds of the safety systems aren't affected but I guess thats because are also intended to be audible in free cam. I've had this with various different trains (e.g. Br 430, IC-CabCar, WiKo). They sounded fine until I've got close to an 145 (regardless of walking or free cam) and then the in cab sounds weren't audible at all. Note: This was also the case before the update yesterday (June 17th), only I hadn't figured out what caused it.
It seems that you are right right now the the choice of route in tsw6 is lottery, you never know where blurness or ctds hit you...
You can expect trouble in routes with a wide variety of different trains. More layers means more expected ram consumption.
Thank you for the answer, didnt know it was fixed a while back, i couldt fire up tsw for 1 year because im still on win7 until i found a workaround for steam. Last tested (1 month ago) the "schnellbremsung" works with 1 bogie / 2 asg shut down of the same bogie on the 101. Just on the regular braking el/pn combined, it seems the loco still is on "Vorsteuerdruck" on the dead bogie instead of kicking in the brake pressure because both traction motors are taken out.
I just wanted to give an update regarding the PIS issue experienced on the BR 145 Expert. It turns out that the issue is due to a core change to the PIS system in TSW that was done to fix some unrelated issues but unfortunately it had the side effect of breaking some parts of the logic that the BR 145 Expert depends on. DTG are aware of the issue and looking into a fix. In the meantime, as explained by jesper2805 and others, you can cycle the PIS switch (located inside the machine room on the same panel as the safety system fault isolation switches) to Off and then back to On and wait for the FT95 control module to boot up. The exterior flip-dot display should then work correctly. Apologies again for the inconvenience!
Great update! Really enjoying everything that's been put together, however I've spotted some issues with the loco: - During KT 68366 service prep (from 20:05), signal "Q" (at 66/8 signpost) displayed a shunt aspect, however was a 1000Hz magnet (bug - hope it gets fixed). After getting Emergency braked, the "zugbeeineflussung" voice callout started and never stopped. I haven't dealt with this before the patch, presumably a new bug. - No direct brake sound in cab 2 - In cab 1, you can hear the MSS switches "pop". I'm pretty sure since they're behind a cabinet in the machine room, this shouldn't be the case. Still enjoying the new services! Once these bugs are ironed out, I'd say the 145 will be a flawless loco!
After doing S1 (31713), I've noticed two bugs as well... - You cannot cycle the throttle handle by keyboard anymore (i.e, Shift + A). - After a while (in my case, once I got to Dresden Trachau), lever sounds, etc, would not play. Motor sounds will still play, but throttle, brakes, couldn't be heard. This one is...unfavourable, as I like doing the odd passenger service from time to time, but this is a BIG immersion killer.
I think the last one has to do with using the external camera. I thought I saw it reported before and I was driving yesterday on KWG with the ICE1. Just started the service, thought to just zoom around with the free cam, and back to 1st cam... lever sounds and such were gone...
Okay i have done a very extreme step i have deleted the 145 Expert! And i will re-install it again when there is a fix for the sound issues on other player trains. The sound get muted when you nearby a 145 Expert. This bug is so frustrating that i have remove the 145 Expert from the game. The next update is far away and this is the said result of this addon. I hope this will fixed in the next patch.....
I was wondering what caused this issue: I had my internal driving sounds disappear on the BR 430 and BR 411 on Frankfurt-Wiesbaden and Dresden-Leipzig and I had no clue it had to do with the BR 145! When opening a window the external driving sounds work as expected. Is this a known bug to DTG/TSG? For me this is a game breaking issue, so should get high priority to fix.
So after so many patches I still cant acknowledge safety systems with B button dosnt work. Works fine on other locos tho. cwf.green
Hello, I'm having with an issue with PZB override and audio loop. When I'm in front of a Hp0+Sh1, from my understanding I should pass this signal with keeping "PZB override" pressed and release key after passing signal. But when I pass the signal, an audio message starts (sorry cannot tell for sure, my German is bad..) and it never stops. The audio message loops forever. Once audio loop started, using PZB release/ack (even for 2+ seconds) or changing cab doesn't stop the message. (If I don't press the PZB override, then I get emergency brake when passing signal.) I could reproduce on several services / signals on Leipzig-Dresden route with BR 145 Expert (default variation). One of this service is "GAGC (47760) Shunting Weißig". For some other services with signal in this configuration, it was fine. IIRC I have the message just epeated twice or three times and it stops. I'm on PC / Steam. Sorry if it was also reported, I searched and found nothing precisely related to that. Cannot tell since when it's happening (whether it's related to a recent update or not.) edit: just found something similar in a previous message. Am I doing something wrong? Or is there a bug that you reproduce? Thanks
We removed the hard coded "Shift + A" keybind to the throttle handle since this doesn't work on console and may interfere with players that already use that keybind on another control. It is now linked to "Distance Counter" so please try that The sounds disappearing after a while is something that we are aware of but still investigating. Same is true for the PZB Zugbeeinflussung voice output that goes on forever if you press "Override" in certain situations. jesper2805 _TDR_ Can you give some more detail how to reproduce this issue? - Do you experience it when inside the cab of the other train and passing 145's or only from external view when getting near the 145? - How close do you have to get for the player train (non 145) to be silenced?
It's inside the cab and how far is difficult to say it's when a 145 approach you outside of you're view. The last run that i did was Riesa Dresden with the IC cabcar and when I stand still in Riesa my sound was gone, it was muted and the horn sounds far away. The 145 Expert was passing by when I was over the river direction Dresden. It was the RHB 145 with Kesselwagen.
I tried passing an AI BR 145 inside a Vectron just now but the sound doesn't really mute it just gets drowned out by the machine room sounds of the BR 145 (which obviously shouldn't happen), is this the bug you are referring to?
No the sounds are extremely muted and stay muted. You hear nearly nothing. It's completely quite for standard sounds like running sounds etc. It sounds like if the 145 is blocking other sounds in the cab and it will stay. It's not you drive and restores it self. It could be take some time to experience this problem. What I mentioned my first experience was in Riesa from Leipzig Hbf. It's definitely a bug and not that you passed a train that make a noise. And I'm not the only one that has written about this issue. It sounds of something is wrong with some sound layers that occupied each other and the 145 ones are blocking the other sounds from playing in a correct volume.
I agree it's a bug, that's not in doubt By changing views to external and then back to cab I was able to reproduce your described issue. Thank you for the help.
I found out why its happening. I messed up while trying to get three occlusion zones to mix together (External, Cab, MR) which is not possible in the current core. My sollution is working by dynamically popping (disabling) and pushing (enabling) various sound mixes for different behaviours. Two of the mixes i work with are the M_DefaultInterior and M_DefaultExterior, which do exactly what you would think of them. Thing is, i thought i made the component only work when the 145 is the player train and for external camera only if the player uses the seat attached to the corresponding rail vehicle. Seems like that logic is broken and i have to think of a way to fix it without having to rely on the core implementation, as that would mean that there wouldnt be MR sounds bleeding into the cab if the MR Door is open any more. Sorry for the problems. Edit: Turns out what i'm trying to do is just not possible in the game as of now. I cant really say if this will be fixed. Maybe it has to be reverted to default AOM behaviour which only supports two "zones", which means no machine room audio bleeding in if the door is open. I'll get in touch with DTG first tho. Edit^2: Just submitted a possible fix to QA.
I can't reach the platin medal on the tutorial "Turn off- on Saftysystem" and "Local transport/Nahverkehr". Please change the points. Thank you!
No, but it is recommended since the services with the expert wagons run there. Without it, you can only use the BR145 services with the "normal" wagons in other timetables, or you need to use free roam to place consists with expert wagons in other routes.
